This technique is applied to several Lorenz-like systems with a saddle at the center, including the Lorenz system, the Shimizu-Morioka model, the homoclinic garden model, and the laser model. A multi-fractal, self-similar organization of heteroclinic and homoclinic bifurcations of saddle singularities is explored on a bi-parametric plane of those dynamical systems. Based on the past demand data of the 3rd generation (3G) cellular phone market,we forecast the sales of 3G along its product life cycle by adopting the Bass diffusion model to estimate effect of invention, effect of imitation and market potential. To supply the demand properly, we analyze the total inventory management cost through ARENA simulation given EOQ model as a major inventory control policy.
