Friction drilling is a non-conventional hole-making process suitable for thin-section, ductile metals. During friction drilling, heat is generated due to tool rotation and the resulting flow of metal creates a bushing on the exit side of the hole. The bushing offers a longer engagement length for any subsequent thread making process. The threaded holes in this study were created by friction drilling and thread forming in 6082-T6 aluminium alloy. Four scenarios of the threaded holes were created with four levels of rotation rates of friction drilling processes (2000 rpm to 4000 rpm) and the mec

The discs have holes in their centres so that they can be threaded on to the pegs. Initially, all n discs are placed on the left-hand peg in non-increasing order of radius to form a tower, as in Figure 1. The object of the game is to transfer the entire tower to the right-hand peg by moving discs from peg to peg, one at a time according to the rules:(1) only a disc at the top of a tower may be moved;(2) a disc must never be placed on top of a smaller disc.

Abstract Purpose: A cemented common variable-diameter all-cortical bone screw was designed by the modified cortical bone trajectory (MCBT) nailing technique and is scheduled to be fully validated for its mechanical properties in the MCBT technique. Methodologies: The design of this screw follows the strict requirements of the MCBT technology and is modeled after a modified version of the reducer screw. The pitch of the screw is set at 2mm to ensure stability and accuracy during implantation. The screw has a total length of 47mm. The upper part is designed with a coarse diameter of 5.5mm to enh

Abstract We investigate the global structure of the general relativistic magnetohydrodynamic (GRMHD) accretion flows around Kerr black holes containing shock waves, where the disk is threaded by radial and toroidal magnetic fields. We self-consistently solve the GRMHD equations that govern the flow motion inside the disk and for the first time, to our knowledge, we obtain the shock-induced global GRMHD accretion solutions around weakly as well as rapidly rotating black holes for a set of fundamental flow parameters, such as energy ( E ), angular momentum ( L ), radial magnetic flux (Φ), and is

Osmidrosis is a condition characterized by malodorous sweat production in the armpits that often necessitates surgical intervention with tie-over bandages in the axillary area. Standard tie-over bandages may cause skin compression-related complications, such as bruising and skin erosion. To address this issue, we developed a novel technique using a modified protective sleeve. We conducted an observational study involving 60 patients undergoing axillary osmidrosis surgery and divided them into groups. Single‐sided bolting through the RHS wall is performed, but using regular high‐strength bolts rather than “blind bolts”. The first concept employs nut‐holding devices, called “Shurikens”, that are pre‐installed on four splice plates fitted to the inside of the two RHS columns. The second innovation is a custom‐designed, hollow, cast steel insert – made of nut‐quality steel – that extends into both the upper and lower columns and has threaded
