Abstract:
This article discusses the excitation system of a three-stage synchronous generator for aviation use in two distinctive modes of operation: as an electric power generator for an on-board power supply system and an electric starter for gas turbine engines of the aircraft. The article presents the calculation of the starter and generator operating modes of the excitation system.
