This article presents a methodology to improve the reuse of design data in the tender phase. This methodology consists of the implementation of two novel structures: a Functional Breakdown Structure and a System Breakdown Structure. The first provides a tool to capture that key data, which is currently missing, for the reuse at an early stage of design. The second structure ensures that the design data are structured, documented, and easy accessible and retrievable for new tenders.
