Abstract:
In this study, we explore the phytochemical properties of Tiliacora triandra (Colebr.) Diels, commonly known as Yanang, a herb traditionally used for treating fever and malaria. Our objective is to isolate and analyze bioactive compounds from T. triandra's root extract, with a specific focus on tiliacorinine (T1), assessing its antioxidant, and anticancer capabilities. The antioxidant activity of T. triandra extract (TTE) was evident, with IC50 values of 196.32 ± 10.51 µg/mL and 88.22 ± 1.95 µg/mL in the DPPH and ABTS assays, respectively. The results also demonstrated that TTE and T1 had a si

Tiliacora triandra (Colebr.) Diels (Menispermaceae family) is a Southeast Asian angiosperm herb. Traditional medicine in these areas often includes the use of plant parts. Plant extracts are highly effective against various infections including bacterial, fungal, viral, and parasitic. The leaves and root extracts are used to treat gastrointestinal diseases, hypertension, diabetes, skin diseases, and malaria as an antipyretic, detoxification agent, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, and immunomodulator. Bioactive compounds contained in T. triandra include phenolic compounds, alkaloids, flavonoids,

The main objective of this work was to study rheological properties of Yanang (Tiliacora triandra) solution; a kind of food that derived from plants is being widely used in many countries in South East Asia and East Asia. Experiments were conducted to evaluate the impact of temperature on the viscosity and then build rheological curves of products. The results showed that viscosity of Yanang solutions changes with temperature in the shear - thinning models. These solutions formed gel at low temperature and gel strength can be improved by adjusting pH and adding Ca2+ due to the presence of uron
