Abstract:
The effect of major parameters, such as pouring temperature, tilt time and preheating temperature of mold, on the tilt casting of aluminum alloy automobile drain pipes is studied through numerical simulation using single factor and orthogonal test methods. The simulation results of single factor test indicate that the increase in the pouring temperature and mold preheating temperature could effectively reduce the shrinkage tendency and the shortage of tilt time would cause lower temperature gradient of casting at the beginning of solidification, thus would lead the extension of solidification

To prepare the vibrated casting slurries of waste tile particles, ultrafine colloids of the waste tile was added as a binder materials and as a thixotropic agent to avoid segregation between large and fine grains. The plasticity of the slurries was controlled by the rheology of colloids of the waste tile. To give thixotropic behavior, the dispersion and coagulation behavior of the colloidal suspension were investigated by the zeta potentiometer. The point of zero charge of the suspension was shown near pH 5 and maximum zeta potential was -55[mV] near pH 11. Maximum agglomerate particles were a

Aluminium metal matrix composites (AMCs) are widely employed in aerospace and automobile applications. Thus, they are required to operate reliably under a severe corrosive, high temperature and carbonaceous environments, without undergoing any deterioration in their mechanical properties. The paper is the compilation of the experimental results and analysis carried out to investigate the effect of different end chills, reinforcement content and carburization on the LM25 aluminium alloy reinforced with borosilicate glass powder. A novel micro/nanoscale rough structured superhydrophilic hybrid-coated mesh that shows underwater superoleophobic behavior is fabricated by spray casting or dipping nanoparticle–polymer suspensions on stainless steel mesh substrates. Water droplets can spread over the mesh completely; meanwhile, oil droplets can roll off the mesh at low tilt angles without any penetration. Besides overcoming the oil-fouling problem of many superhydrophilic coatings, this superhydrophilic and underwater superoleophobic mesh can be used to separate oil and water. Abstract: Welcome to steady die casting solutions. We are at steady die casting solutions keep on continue to give die casting solutions. In this paper we will discuss how we can predict flash location in die and how we can correct before die making or after die making. We also discuss how we can calculate individual tie bar load when we load a die, tie bar load will change on each die changeover because of it’s center of gravity. We discuss how casting shot centroid will effect tie bar load which directly responsible for flash. All this things we try to explain with an example, I hope it will

Abstract:
This article presents the results for the prestress of ceramics lateral confined by aluminum alloy. Prestressed ceramics composite is produced by casting molten aluminum alloy around a hot ceramic tile and then cooling it down with blowing air. Different technical parameters of the casting are investigated. Al2O3/ZrO2(4Y) composite ceramics alumina tiles prepared by combustion synthesis under high gravity are used in this study to investigate the effect of confinement and prestress. The samples of ceramics are lateral confined by aluminum alloy, which lead to monaxial compressive stress in the

The behaviour of earthworms, their role in organic matter incorporation into the soil, and the influence of aridity in such processes in arid and semiarid regions have scarcely been studied. In this study, physico-chemical analyses of the casts and the surrounding no-till agricultural soils of three experimental sites representing an aridity gradient in Navarre (NW Spain) were done. The casts were formed by the activity of the only anecic species,Scherotheca gigas(Dugès, 1828), ubiquitous in no-till soils in this region.
