Abstract:
In determining the research topic as well as the title for the Thesis / TA, it is possible that there will be a similarity in the title between one student and another, whether intentionally or unintentionally. For this reason, the Study Program must check the titles submitted by students, so as to avoid indications of similar titles and indications of plagiarism. Efforts that can be made to make it easier to check the Thesis title are by performing string matching on the text on the title that will be submitted by students. One of the string matching algorithms is Boyer-Moore. Boyer-Moore, who made the match starting from the rightmost character then left based on the value of the occurrence heuristic (HO) and match heuristic (MH) in determining the shift. This research produces a system that is able to determine the similarity of the proposed Thesis titles based on the existing title repositories. From the results of testing the processing time by entering 100 and its multiples show that the Boyer-Moore algorithm is able to match quickly. The results also showed that the more data the more time it took, but the average increase in time only increased by 34%.

Abstract:
We consider the problem of counting the number of DAGs which are Markov-equivalent, i.e., which encode the same conditional independencies between random variables. The problem has been studied, among others, in the context of causal discovery, and it is known that it reduces to counting the number of so-called moral acyclic orientations of certain undirected graphs, notably chordal graphs. Our main empirical contribution is a new algorithm which outperforms previously known exact algorithms for the considered problem by a significant margin. On the theoretical side, we show that our algorithm is guaranteed to run in polynomial time on a broad class of chordal graphs, including interval graphs.

Data were collected at the moment of restoration replacement. The sample consisted of 262 defective restorations in 139 individuals. Survival time was calculated using the placement date that was registered on the individual’s dental form. Yashchuk, O. "GRAND DUKE, KING, HOSPODAR: TITULATURE OF A RULER IN THE DOCUMENTS OF THE BOOK OF INSCRIPTIONS NO. 8 OF THE LITHANIAN METRICA." Bulletin of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. History, no. 147 (2020): 55–63. http://dx.doi.org/10.17721/1728-2640.2020.147.11.

Abstract:
The article analyzes the titulature used in the documents of the Book of Inscriptions No. 8 of the Lithuanian Metrica. The study of documents clearly indicates 1713 ruler’s titles of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, which are classified into 47 different variants. The author characterized the system of presentation of the supreme power through the title of a ruler and its reception by the subjects. The article provides specific features of the modern and previous rulers systems of titulature. It reveals the use of titles "king", "grand duke" and "hospodar". The obtained results demonstrate that the title of the ruler is used in both extended and abridged versions. Most often, the abridged version contains the title of "king", which is a consequence of its greater prestige compared to the title of "grand duke". The author examines the system of using titles of rulers within one document. It is established that the first use of the title is often the most complete. In the case of documents drawn up on behalf of the ruler, the first title denotes the prerogatives of the ruler. "King by the grace of God", "King and Grand Duke by the grace of God", "King of Poland by the grace of God", "By the grace of God" with the addition of a name in all cases are most often used as the first titles in the documents created during the reign of the ruler Sigismund I the Old. The supreme power emphasizes the sacred origin of their prerogatives by adding "by the grace of God" to the title of a modern ruler. In the same case, there is no deliberate emphasis on the sacralization of power of previous rulers. The article provides an analysis of combinations of titles of rulers. In documents drawn up on behalf of the ruler, the title of "king" is often combined with the title of "grand duke", which is characteristic of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. On the other hand, it is typical to frequently use the title of "hospodar" for documents originating from subjects of rulers. The study has confirmed that the remoteness of the reign of the Grand Duke from the time of the creation of the document reduces the variability of the titulature. Vytautas and Sigismund Kęstutaitis are titled exclusively as "grand duke". The titulature of Casimir IV Jagiellon and Alexander Jagiellon has more variations. In documents originating from the subjects, the ruler is often referred to as "his mercy", "hospodar", "his mercy king" and "his mercy hospodar".

Abstract:
The effect of art expertise on viewers’ processing of titled visual artwork was examined. The study extended the research of Leder, Carbon, and Ripsas by explicitly selecting art novices and art experts. The study was designed to test assumptions about how expertise modulates context in the form of titles for artworks. Viewers rated a set of abstract paintings for liking and understanding. The type of title accompanying the artwork (descriptive or elaborative) was manipulated. Viewers were allotted as much time as they wished to view each artwork. For judgments of liking, novices and experts both liked artworks with elaborative titles better, with overall rated liking similar for both groups. For judgments of understanding, type of title had no effect on ratings for both novices and experts. However, experts’ rated understanding was higher than novices, with experts making their decisions faster than novices. An analysis of viewers’ art expertise revealed that expertise was correlated with understanding, but not liking. Overall, the results suggest that both novices and experts integrate title with visual image in similar manner. However, expertise differentially affected liking and understanding. The results differ from those obtained by Leder et al. The differences between studies are discussed.

Like most librarians, I spend a large part of my time organizing information and helping others to find it, but as an artist, I sometimes find an image more interesting to appropriate than to classify. The word “appropriation” as applied to art has in some ways supplanted the concept of the found object. Appropriation refers to the use of images (taken from many sources, including art history) that have been not only removed from their original context, but re-combined with other images to form a new context, a new work of art.

Implicit and explicit stereotypes toward the title Ms. were examined. Participants read a short description of a target person whose title of address varied (Ms., Mrs., Miss, Mr.). They then rated the person on agentic and communal traits and completed an Implicit Association Test. Replicating earlier research ( Dion, 1987 ), at an explicit level, women using the title Ms. were seen as less communal than individuals using the title Mrs. or Mr. and more agentic than individuals using the titles Mrs., Mr., or Miss. This time, however, women using the title Miss were also seen as less communal and more agentic than women using the title Mrs. but not as agentic as women using the title Ms. On the implicit measure, Ms. was relatively more associated with agentic than communal traits compared to Mrs. but not to Miss.

Abstract:
The objective of the present paper is to analyze the use and solution of the hypercube model for the case of non-homogeneous servers (servers with different mean service times). Systems with non-homogeneous servers can be found in several real world applications, such as for example in the provision of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in some Brazilian cities. The importance of explicitly considering non-homogeneous servers in the hypercube model is initially demonstrated through an illustrative example. It is then shown that the solution for the non-homogeneous case can be advantageously obtained by the method of Gauss-Siedel. This method was tested for a network of 55 nodes, in models with between 10 and 17 servers, with the total system workload varying between 0.1 and 0.9. Finally, a regression model is proposed to estimate the computing time required to solve a specific problem

Abstract:
This work presents a study on the resolution method of the single product lot sizing problem formulated by Trigeiro et al. (1989). This problem consists of determining the quantities to be produced in different periods of time, minimizing the sum of costs of production, setup and inventory. The quantity to be produced in each period should be sufficient to attend the demands of items, without exceeding the capacity of the machine. To model the aspects of consumption of resources, setup and production times are included in the model. The resolution method developed by Trigeiro et al. (1989) consists of a heuristic method based on Lagrangean relaxation, subgradient optimization and a heuristic smoothing procedure. In this work that method was implemented considering variable costs. Furthermore, it was proposed a modification, based on the optimality conditions of the problem, during the phase of the improvement of the feasible solution. Some computational experiments are presented comparing both versions.

We thank Drs Prasher & Haque for their interest in our paper and are pleased that they agree with our conclusions. It is quite obvious that the difference in findings in the meta-analysis between our study and Prasher et al's study was due to the inclusion of data in our study that were not available at the time of Prasher et al's study. According to our calculation, our meta-analysis has 92% power (95% CI 88–96%) at the 5% level. However, traditional power calculation is not applicable in this case because instead of simply adding allele frequencies among all studies, we have used the computerised version of the Woolf (1995) method of meta-analysis that takes account of each study individually. Also, because of the varied nature of studies included in the meta-analysis we did not feel it appropriate to calculate specificity and sensitivity in the traditional way.

Abstract:
This article considers I. A. Bunin’s poetic oeuvre from the point of view of title poetics in order to identify the main patterns and author’s strategies in working with the title complex. The methodology is based on the correlation of the title with the text, subtext, and metatext of the poem, taking into account textual refinements. In Bunin’s principle of working with the title complex, there is a noticeable striving for accuracy and at the same time for a metaphorical semantic comprehensiveness that includes existential, natural, and cultural constants. Thus, the main features of Bunin’s poetics of titles are changes in the titles of one text, removal of titles and dedications, repetition of titles in two or more poems, combination of the theme and genre in a number of titles, and the addressing factor. In recurring titles, the researcher finds key images of Bunin’s poetry that include him in the Russian poetic tradition. However, a tendency to modernism is also noticeable in Bunin’s poetry in the titles of poems that contain Bunin’s philosophical and poetical reflection. The titles of such poems refer to the theme of death and often contain the words “grave” / “tomb”, but the text of the poem enters into an antinomic relationship with the title, i.e. a person belonging to the “world of art”, culture, and tradition (myth and religious tradition) has already ascended over the world and is doomed to immortality. The removal of titles as a strong position in texts on political topics shifts the reader’s attention from the temporary to the eternal and metahistorical, which is found in the text itself and clarifies the author’s position.

Muscle atrophy occurred 3 weeks after injury, but was repaired via spontaneous replacement of muscle cells/fibers. In contrast, compared with the uninjured side, the percentage of cells double-labeled with FG and calcitonin gene-related peptide in FG-positive cells in the dorsal root ganglia of the injured side was significantly increased at each time point throughout the study period.</p>
<title>Conclusions</title><p>These results suggest that sensitization of the dominant nerve in the dorsal root ganglia, which may be caused by cicatrix formation, can protract injured muscle pain. Abstract:
The studies of a film text as a polycoded textual phenomena involve the studies of its integral components, such as film story and screenplay, reflecting storyline or plot of a literary text that serves as a precedential text to filming and as an immediate constituent of a film itself. Film title combines the features of a book or story title and functions as a precedential phenomenon as well, but is an integral part of the process of film promotion and release, and in cinematographic sphere it’s of crucial importance. In fact, the original book or story titles used to change especially with time and audience involved, when filming remaking changes to TV series and miniseries, or films are followed by sequels and prequels so that not to make something like Jaws 3 or Indiana Jones 5 . Anyhow, most of film titles fully repeat or at least conserve the title of a literary text, still it’s often amplified to make difference or to emphasize the idea that the screenplay is a new one just the story to be continued, e.g., Jaws-3D: The Revenge. Not very often the changes are marked graphically as of Romeo + Juliet or Romeo & Julie t, so that to hint a new turnoff the plot to the audience. It’s obvious that film titles often use names of main characters either for series or episode titles or to form a film franchise like that of Jurassic Park or Indiana Jones ones. As people started to use different IT gadgets they used to read books less and less, and film stories tend to make a new book form when a book is no longer a precedent to a film. Thus the cycle of “book title → film title” was completed by a part of “film title → book title (or book itself” to reflect the reverse trend, which is known worldwide.

Abstract:
The novelty of the work is in the fact that for the first time in I. A. Goncharov’s works study, the peculiarities of the poetics of the title in the works of I. A. Goncharov of small and medium genre epic forms, are examined. The relevance of the article is due to the fact that the study of the title, the identification of its typological models will allow to describe the patterns in the artistic system of I. A. Goncharov. A classification of the titles of the writer’s works written in non-novel genre forms is proposed. The classification is based on the dominant structural and semantic features of the titles of the writer’s non-novel fictional prose. The question of the semantics of titles is raised in the article, the attention is paid to their linguistic features. Some questions of the functional interaction of the title with the main text are considered. It is noted that the analysis of various types of titles in the works of I. A. Goncharov showed the importance of this component in the poetics of the writer. The author of the article comes to the conclusion that the analysis of the title allows not only to consider the position of the “total” author, but also to explore many aspects of the writer's poetics: frame text, subject matter, composition, genre, style, narrative system, language.

Full-time teaching-focused faculty at research universities may hold alternative titles such as Assistant Teaching Professor, Instructor, or Lecturer. We manipulated the title of a fictitious faculty target to investigate how such titles are perceived. Student and lay respondents ( N = 317) respected and liked all targets, and their ratings did not differ depending on title. Faculty respondents ( N = 645) also liked and respected all the targets but predicted that Associate Teaching Professors, compared to Associate Professors, would be paid less and would be less likely to have tenure, hold the PhD, or be respected outside their university. Lecturer and Instructor titles were estimated to be even lower in status. We discuss what our data indicate about the status of teaching in academia.

Abstract:
The main purpose of this paper is to amplify the current theoretical scenario of "Mental Health and Work" area, according to the Henri Bergson's philosophy and his concepts of perception, cognition, duration, psychic life, time and subjectivity. This theoretical-philosophical article aims to shed new light on the relations between philosophy of mind and present-day efforts toward a scientific theory of cognition, with its complex structure of theories, hypotheses and disciplines. There is in this paper a new approach to understand the contemporary cognitive sciences in a kind of phenomenological investigation initiated by Husserl's phenomenology. The methods employed were the systematic review and adaptation of Bergson's concepts, and its naturalization in the actual context of epistemological and ontological principles of cognitive sciences, to phenomenological analysis of "work-mental health" links. The current contributions of the Husserl's Phenomenology were used to understand the relations between mental health and work. There are also references to philosophy applied in contemporary cognitive sciences based on Bergson's theoretic-philosophical proposal.

After a brief review of space–time geometry using the affine bundle it is shown how to construct it from a bundle of linear frames of a five-dimensional manifold. The flow of time is a consequence of the construction.

Abstract:
The article described the publishing practices that were used by the publishers living in the 18th century. They were shown on the example of the activities of Georg Markus Knoch (1695-1759), one of the thriving acting Gdansk’s booksellers and publishers. Knoch was born in Wroclaw, made his first steps in the profession in Wittenberg. Then he arrived in Gdansk in 1728 where he opened the Bookstore on Piwna Street. He published approximately one hundred titles, several of which were title editions. Reissues of the title editions appeared in his publishing for a number of reasons. Most of the time, Gdansk‘s bookseller took over parts of the other publishers‘ titles; it happened due to their death, or due to the closure or change of the owner of the print shops. Wanting to get rid of some of the unsold copies of the books was the other reason of publishing some of his title editons. In this case he would have either lightly modified the editions, or he would have put the information on the title edition saying that it is an another issue, suggesting to potential customers that they are dealing with a completely new work, or that the first edition was a great success and it needed reissuing. Publishing practices used by Kanch show how often publishers in the 18th century were unable to sell many of the titles.

Abstract:
This study presents new information on the feeding habits of the Atlantic spotted dolphins, Stenella frontalis, in the Western South Atlantic. Nine stomach contents of S. frontalis incidentally caught in fishing operations conducted by the gillnet fleet based on main harbour of Cananéia (25°00'S; 47°55'W), southeastern Brazil, were analyzed. These specimens were captured between 2005 and 2007. A total of 1 422 cephalopod beaks, 147 otoliths and three crustaceans were recovered from the stomach contents. The dolphins assessed preyed on at least eight different fish species of the families Trichiuridae, Carangidae, Sparidae, Merluccidae, Engraulidae, Sciaenidae, Congridae and Scombridae, five cephalopod species of the families Loliginidae, Sepiolidae, Tremoctopodidae and Thysanoteuthidae, and one shrimp species of the Penaeidae family. Based on the analysis of the Index of Relative Importance (IRI), the Atlantic cutlassfish, Trichiurus lepturus, was the most important fish species represented. Of the cephalopods, the squid Doryteuthis plei was by far the most representative species. Several items were reported for the first time as prey of the S. frontalis: Xiphopenaeus kroyeri, Tremoctopus violaceus, Semirossia tenera, Merluccius hubbsi, Pagrus pagrus and Paralonchurus brasiliensis. S. frontalis presented teuthophagous and ichthyofagous feeding habits, with apparent predominance of the first, and preyed mainly on pelagic and demersal items.

Abstract:
Over the summer, the Patient Liaison Group (PLG) at the College commissioned a poll in order to gain an understanding of the public perception of the word 'surgeon' and the expectations that accompany this title in terms of education and training. Having been concerned for some time that there is a lack of clarity regarding job titles in the health sector – with no legal restrictions on who can be called a 'surgeon' – the PLG are campaigning for the job title of 'surgeon' to be protected by law, in the same way that 'dentist','dental surgeon' and 'dental practitioner' are currently protected by the 1984 Dentists Act, so that only those who have qualified as a medical doctor and undertaken postgraduate surgical training can use the title. The campaign caught the imagination of the press and received widespread coverage.

Abstract:
This paper is a diachronic analysis of a corpus of 180 titles drawn from CRs published in the BMJ and the BMJ Case Reports between 1840 and 2009. The corpus was divided into three Blocks, and the frequency of occurrence of 69 text-internal variables was recorded in each title. Between-Block comparisons were carried out, and Student’s t-tests were applied to the quantitative results. Our findings show that CR titles have evolved over the 160-year period studied in the sense that they have increased in length, syntactic complexity, semantic richness and title type diversity. Authorship patterns and collaboration practices have changed too. Although internationalization of case reporting has increased over time, today's preferred practice is still local collaboration. The only variable that has remained constant over the years is the nominal nature of CR titles. We put forth several social and scientific factors that could account for the various shifts observed. We claim that non-informativeness of CR titles that persisted over time can be explained by the fact that CR authors are reluctant to give a generalization flavor to their findings.

Abstract:
John takes Mary for a romantic evening walk in Covent Garden and declares that a diamond he owns, which is in a vault in France, is now hers. One month later, without having received the diamond, Mary leaves John for another. Within a year, John has engaged himself to Jane, upon whom he also bestows the diamond. John and Jane spend their honeymoon in Paris and, while they are there, John ‘delivers’ the diamond to Jane. Mary sues Jane in England for conversion and asks that Jane be ordered to return the diamond to her. According to English law, the transfer of title by way of gift depends on delivery.1 Thus, since only Jane took delivery, she has title and Mary's claim will be dismissed. In French law, by contrast, property in a gift passes without delivery.2 As a result, Mary has title to the diamond and Jane is holding it unlawfully. The case turns exclusively on the choice-of-law question, ‘Which law should govern?’

There is no such thing as society.ThatchFriends and neighbours, that's where it's atfriends and neighbours, that's a fact.Ornette Coleman (1970)All Terence's ½-doz. plays come complete with instructions on how to read them. They give you a fair idea, for a start, of what you're going to get yourself involved in. They always did, delivering audiences to the exponentially expanding Roman culture of the 160s BCE, delivering drama, and theatre culture, from that critical world-beating juncture in the history of the West to a constantly self-renewing, and ultimately perpetual, Graeco-Roman education, through language + learning: Prologue (§1).Before all, this is the play with the unpronounceable Greek handle. Just about its only Hellenism to survive processing into Terence's expertly screened Latinity. A word-and-a-half set to catch any lover of language—it made Baudelaire write a poem, just so he could list Hautontimoroumenos as a title in Fleurs du Mal: Je te frapperai sans colèrelet sans haine comme un boucher.… (For us, his line-and-a-half must be: Je suis de mon coeur le vampire.) The word-title is a paradigmatic slogan that roars—fortissimo—that complex internal relations between the person and the self feature as the semiotic-cum-problematic of this play. L'innommable—beyond Latinity to put into words, hence the compulsion to dramatise: Title (§2).

In the Southeast Asian highlands, different types of hierarchy appear as forms of social organization as well as devices for intersocietal communication. In the present case, ranked titles from centralized Tai Meuang hierarchies such as the Lao or the Lue in southern China have been adopted by Rmeet (Lamet) uplanders in northern Laos, where the main type of hierarchy is the decentralized superiority of wife-givers over wife-takers. In the process of adoption, title-giving was subordinated to wife-giving, and today the wife-givers are the ritual source of ranks. In the course of history, title-giving has thus been integrated into Rmeet forms of sociocosmic reproduction while, at the same time, titles have lost their initial function of communication between upland societies and lowland state formations.

In the Salon of 1859, Baudelaire wonders about the title of a painting he had not seen: Amour et Gibelotte, and formulates hypotheses about what it could represent: An idyllic scene? a caricature? an allegory? This painting being lost, we can carry on the interpretation of the title after Baudelaire, with the help of the available information about its creator, the painter Ernest Seigneurgens, and the practices of the time in the use of titles. The outcome is a dossier that prompts a reflection on the modalities of representation and, particularly, on the relationship between comedy and realism in Baudelaire's literary thought and practice.

Secure title is necessary for petroleum exploration and production. Without it, he who spends the risk money may not reap the rewards. The Petroleum Act 1923-1990 is the Queensland legislation under which exploration and production titles are granted. It is 1923 legislation which has been amended from time to time. It suffers from uncertainties in areas including application and granting procedures, and title transfer and administration procedures. The Petroleum Act by its terms requires the provisions of the Mineral Resources Act 1989-1990 to be read into it and this has emphasised the need for amendment and preferably replacement. There are indications that a review of the Petroleum Act will be carried out in the near future. To minimise the possibility of unfavourable replacement legislation, the industry must address and decide the principles it favours.

Having announced my editorship with an editorial whose title was in French (Plus ça change . . .) (Ames, 2003), it seems appropriately symmetrical to commemorate my departure (“editor eject” as opposed to “editor elect”?) with a final editorial whose title is drawn from another major European language. The German title serves four functions: it offers homage to the ethnic origins of our incoming German-born Editor-in-Chief (though given the idiomatic excellence of Nicola Lautenschlager's English I suspect it will be the last bit of German seen in these pages for several years), acknowledges the struggle I have had to try and learn something of the German language in formal weekly lessons since April 2006, and, in addition to its relevance to my situation as outgoing editor, it is also a quotation, from Hugo von Hofmannstahl's libretto to Richard Strauss's opera Der Rosenkavalier (translatable as The Knight of the Rose or simply The Rose Bearer) (Strauss and Hofmannsthal, 1910) which is a work that deals, as much as anything, with questions of transition and adjustment.

A total of 168 children, aged 7 to 13, were administered measures of global processing speed, title and author recognition, naming time, and reading ability. Naming times were predicted by age-related change in processing time but not by reading experience (as assessed by author and title recognition). The results are discussed in terms of the factors responsible for the relation between naming speed and reading.

AbstractThis research is a summary of the published research interests of Australian Educational and Developmental Psychologists over the past 25 years. The terms used in the title and keywords describing research published in The Australian Educational and Developmental Psychologist (AEDP) over the past 25 years were analysed. In total, 105 individual words or terms were derived from 233 articles published in the AEDP. These words and terms were used 707 times as title words and 820 times as keywords to describe the research of the journal. The most frequent individual title words were children (n = 70), adolescents (n = 44), assessment (n = 29), development/developmental (n = 28), and disability (n = 27). The reduction of these title words and keywords resulted in six categories: Stages of Development, Relating and Roles, Educational and Vocational, Presenting Problems—Clinical, Presenting Problems—General, and Methods and Practice. Analyses of the frequency of the title words and keywords led to the conclusion that many of the words and the subsequent categories were exclusively Educational and Developmental in definition, with a large proportion of the content of the journal also shared with other specialisations and areas of psychology. Finally, the title words and keywords were subdivided into 5-year periods and small, significant effects were found between the five time periods for some categories of keywords and terms. The differences were very weak and non-systematic, trends indicating the relative consistency of the contents of the journal over time.

<p>Online business development through e-commerce platforms is a phenomenon which change the world of promoting and selling products in this 21st century. Product title classification is an important task in assisting retailers and sellers to list a product in a suitable category. Product title classification is apart of text classification problem but the properties of product title are different from general document. This study aims to evaluate the performance of five different supervised learning models on data sets consist of e-commerce product titles with a very short description and they are incomplete sentences. The supervised learning models involve in the study are Naïve Bayes, K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), Decision Tree, Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Random Forest. The results show KNN model is the best model with the highest accuracy and fastest computation time to classify the data used in the study. Hence, KNN model is a good approach in classifying e-commerce products.</p>
