Generare fotoni veloci al passaggio di radiazione ionizzante sta diventando un requisito essenziale per le future generazioni di rivelatori basati sugli scintillatori, sia per quanto riguarda la fisica delle alte energie (HEP) che per quanto riguarda la tomografia ad emissione di positroni con capacità di time of flight (TOF-PET).
