Abstract:
BackgroundOlder adults living with frailty represent a complex group who are increasingly accessing regional geriatric services. Goal-based care planning is the industry standard in the care of older adults, yet few studies illustrate how goal-based care planning is being conducted with this population. Understand-ing how frailty impacts goal-based care planning in regional geriatric services is key to improving patient care. Methods In this “Go-Along” method of data collection, nine observa-tional experiences were conducted, nine responses from the Interprofessional Role Shadowing Tool were obtained, and eight responses to follow-up questions were received. Open coding of the data was performed retrospectively, and indexed themes were identified.ResultsAlthough the Geriatric Clinicians indicated that goal-based care planning and frailty were central to practice, the observa-tions indicated no clear process to patient-centred goal-setting or frailty identification in practice. The results infer a gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.ConclusionsA clear process to goal-based care planning in interprofessional geriatric services is needed. This objective requires practical education that emphasizes the skills necessary to implement goal-setting within unique, interprofessional care environments. Further research is necessary to establish if frailty identification is necessary in goal-based care planning, or if a patient-centred approach is more advantageous in practice.

Labour force participation in PClkistan, even amongst prime-aged males, is lower than observed in many similar countries. The analysis of labour force participation in urban PClkistan in this paper indicates that systematic factors explain a fair amount of this participation. The extended family structure as well as the availability of remittances allow younger, educated males to extend their job search. Using tobit and probit estimation techniques, the study found that labour supply is explained primarily by participation as opposed to hours worked con~tional upon participation. The study also found that the rise in wages attributed to education is fairly high and similar to what was found in Pakistan in the late 1970s.

Abstract:
The subject is reflected in the important international documents of the UN – the Millennium development Goals 2001 and the Sustainable develop-ment Goals 2015. The article examines implementing family planning pro-grams in Tropical Africa, analyzes the attitude of ruling circles and people masses to this problem in the context of centuries-old traditions of having many children, great value of free child labor in agriculture, polygyny, re-ligiosity and other socio-cultural stereotypes. Despite the efforts of interna-tional organizations, most of the 48 countries in sub-Saharan Africa are experiencing a slow spread of contraception, the birth rate is “stalling” at high rates, or the decline in fertility is slow. But there are some positive examples of countries, where the use of con-traception reaches the 70% level recommended by international experts-demographers, and the birth rate is decreasing, approaching the replace-ment level. These countries are Ethiopia, Rwanda, Madagascar, Ghana, Kenya, and the countries of the South African region. It is likely that the success of family planning and the reduction of the birth rate are due to the consolidated approach of government circles, NGOs, private, public and international organizations, with the crucial role of international donors and financial funds. In the course of evolutionary socio-economic development, fertility rates will decrease. But in the next decades, there will still be an increase in the population of a number of SSA countries by 2–3 times. Without substantial foreign financial assistance peoples of Africa, especially the peoples of Cen-tral and West Africa, will not be able to cope with this problem.

Abstract:
The Haddon Matrix offers a classic epidemiologi¬cal model for studying injury prevention. This method-ology places the pudlic health concepts of agent, host, and environment within the three sequential phases of an injury-producing incident—pre-event, event, and postevent. This study uses this methodology to illus-trate how it could de applied in systematically prepar-ing for a mass casualty disaster such as an unconven-tional sarin attack in a major urdan setting. Nineteen city, state, federal, and military agencies responded to the Haddon Matrix chemical terrorism preparedness exercise and offered feeddack in the data review ses-sion. Four injury prevention strategies (education, engineering, enforcement, and economics) were applied to the individual factors and event phases of the Haddon Matrix. The majority of factors identified in all phases were modifiadle, primarily through edu-cational interventions focused on individual health-care providers and first responders. The Haddon Matrix provides a viadle means of studying an unconventional prodlem, allowing for the identification of modifiadle factors to decrease the type and severity of injuries following a mass casualty dis-aster such as a sarin release. This strategy could de successfully incorporated into disaster planning for other weapons attacks that could potentially cause mass casualties.

Abstract:
The study was carried out using the integrative approach, in which the human psyche is con-sidered as a self-organizing system. The goal of this study was to describe in a consistent manner the mental self-regulatory system of educational activities in the context of the metacognitive approach. Our objectives were the following: to determine the impact of gender and age on the indicators of metacognitive awareness in educational activities; to describe the factor structure of the mental self-regulatory system of educational activities including metacognitive awareness. To assess the parameters of the self regulatory mental activity we used the following methods: The Self organization of Activity Questionnaire by E. Mandrikova (2010); Тhe dif-ferential reflectivity test by D. Leontiev and E. Osin (2014); The Еmotional Intelligence Questionnaire by D. Lyusin (2004), short version of the questionnaire “Metacognitive Aware-ness Inventory” by G. Schraw and R.S. Dennison, adapted by A. Karpov and I. Skityaeva (2005). The study involved 354 respondents, including 257 women and 97 men aged 18 to 45. The study was conducted on the basis of St. Petersburg University (BA students and occupa-tional re training students). The data was analyzed using means, standard deviations, Student's t test correlation, and factor analysis. During the study we found out that metacognitive awareness indicators were not associated significantly with the age of the general sample or in male and female groups. The male group was characterized by higher indicators of knowledge about cognition, and the female group was characterized by higher indicators of metacogni-tive regulation “Debugging strategies”. We described the factor structure of the mental self regulatory system of educational activities including metacognitive awareness. There are 4 factors: Metacognitive processes, Reflective processes, Planning and realization, and Opera-tional performance temporal perspective. Our research confirms that metacognitive aware-ness, emotional intelligence, and purposefulness are the main characteristics in the mental self regulatory system of educational activities and their development can increase the effec-tiveness of education. Reflection was at second rank in importance in the mental self regulatory process. The third and fourth factors are associated with the processes of realiza-tion and implementation of self regulatory activities. Thus, we recommend the teachers to develop students' metacognitive processes, such as metacognitive knowledge and metacognitive regulation, interpersonal and intrapersonal emotional intelligence, and purposefulness for optimizing their self regulatory system.

Abstract:
Single-frequency precise point positioning (PPP) presents a cost-effective positioning technique for a large number of users. However, it possesses low positioning accuracy and convergence time compared with the dual-frequency PPP. Single-frequency PPP commonly employs GPS satellite systems that suffer from poor satellite geometry, especially in dense urban areas. We develop a new single-frequency PPP model that combines the observations of current GNSS constellations, including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and Beidou. The MGEX IGS final precise products are utilized to account for the orbital and clock errors, while the IGS final global ionospheric maps (GIM) model is used to correct for the ionospheric delay. The GNSS inter-system biases are treated as additional unknowns in the estimation process. The con tri bution of the additional GNSS observations to single-frequency PPP is assessed through solution comparison with its traditional GPS-only counterpart. Various GNSS combinations are considered in the assessment, including GPS/GLONASS, GPS/Galileo, GPS/BeiDou and all-constellation GNSS. It is shown that the additional GNSS observations enhance the PPP solution accuracy and convergence time in comparison with the tra di tional GPS-only solution. Except for stations with a sufficient number of tracked BeiDou satellites, both Galileo and BeiDou have marginal effects on the positioning accuracy due to their limited number of satel lites. However, for stations with a sufficient number of visible BeiDou satellites, an average of 40% PPP accuracy improvement is obtained. The major contribution to the PPP accuracy enhancement is obtained from GLONASS satellite observations.

Abstract:
Abstract Aging in place is interpreted differently across times and disciplines in the literature. Multiple interpretations of aging in place can lead to differences in expectations and goals when planning products, services, and technologies for older adults. We conducted a historical review across databases in the fields of anthropology, architecture, gerontol-ogy, medicine, psychology, and sociology to explore the evolution of ‘aging in place’ term across time and disciplines. We included articles that used the terminology “aging in place” or “ageing in place” in titles, abstracts, keywords, or subject. From the aging in place definition excerpts collected, we identified the preliminary themes and grouped them into three main themes: people, space, and time. Although the narrative of aging in place is highly related to living spaces, the cause and influencing factors are tied beyond the space. Person and time-related factors that are related to the aging experience im-pact the way aging in place is defined. When designing products, services, and technolo-gies to support successful aging in place, designers, researchers, policymakers, and care-givers should be aware that aging in place is at the intersection of personal, spatial, and temporal elements of older adults’ lives. Based on the multiple perspectives of disci-plines, we concluded that aging in place is beyond the matter of location, but also takes into account the person’s capacity and the changes over the person’s lifespan. Founda-tional understanding of the multiple factors that influence aging in place is critical to support older adults to have a healthy and optimal aging experience.

Abstract:
Higher education institutions are the most important institutions that form the basis of societies. The devoted students, academic and administrative employees enlighten the future and keep these institutions alive. Employees of higher education institutions have to teach a discipline with the order existing in their organisation and their relations with each other. The purpose of this study is to determine using the “organisational discipline” perceptions of higher education employees in different situations and determine the differences according to their socio-demographic characteristics. In the literature review of this study, no scale related to the perception of organisa-tional discipline was found. For this purpose, a scale consisting of six sub-dimensions that will cover the perception of organisational discipline was prepared. The validity and reliability of the prepared scale were determined by conducting a study. COVID-19 pandemic affected the world in all sectors throughout, a prepared scale was applied to 357 higher education institution academics who has been teaching online for a long time. Forward-looking sustainable higher education strategy, the discipline scale plays an essential role in the organisation. In this period, the perceptions of organisational discipline were tried to be determined by considering their current situation. The data obtained in the research were applied independent sample t-test and analysis of variance (ANOVA); T-test, one of the post-hoc tests, was used as further analysis. The study determined that if there is significant difference in perceptions of organisational discipline related to gender, age, nationality, educational status, professional seniority, academic title and working style.

Abstract:
Most of the literature on pronival (protalus) ramparts deals with supposed fossil examples with very few studies devoted to active features and/or observed processes. Not surprisingly, this has led to circular reasoning and assumptions about typical rampart form, constituent material and genesis that have been shown to be inadequate or spurious from the few detailed investigations of actively forming ramparts so far carried out. Nevertheless, reliance continues to be placed on the characteristics of fossil features in the search for previously unidentified fossil examples. This article provides a critical review of rampart terminology, morphology and sedimentology, mechanisms, 'diagnostic' criteria, position in a continuum of talus-derived landforms and palaeoclimatic significance. It is suggested that the descriptor pronival is preferable to the widely used protalus, as the latter is misleadingly restrictive in terms of the known range of possible locations. Greater variability in terms of form and mechanisms of formation than most workers assume is indicated by recent studies of active features, with multiple as well as single ridges, fines and edge-worn as well as coarse angular clasts being found, and a variety of supranival and also subnival processes regarded as possibly contributing to rampart formation. It is concluded that only when further investigations of actively forming ramparts have been carried out, will it be possible to compile a reliable list of criteria for dist inguishing ramparts from moraines, protalus rock glaciers and other bedrock cliff-foot deposi tional forms. Correct identification of fossil ramparts may then lead to a better understanding of 1) their place in a continuum of talus-derived landforms; and 2) their potential as palaeoclimatic indicators.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the problems of the development of modern Chinese cities, which describes the development of large Chinese cities in the 20th and 21st centuries, analyzes contemporary problems and the conditions for their formation in the near future. The pur- pose of the article is to show the dynamic development of the largest and most important modern cities in China and the problems that arise in connection with their development. Novelty — first in the periodical literature describes the development of megacities as a ra- tional option for the territorial organization of urban areas. The methodological basis of the article consists of historical-logical and complex approach, tabular and graphical me- thods of presenting research results. In the 80s, the fi rst special economic zones were created. His process was characterized by the introduction of elements of the free market, the de- collectization of agriculture, changes in the sectoral structure of the economy and its ration- alization. A prolonged concentration of the population in large cities of China causes their further expansion and the formation of large metropolitan clusters — megacities. Given the development of the Chinese economy, it should be understood that its participation in international exchange, despite notable progress, still too small; expansion in world markets occurs with low quality and, as a result, with low prices for Chinese goods; China’s growing position in the global economy is predominantly quantitative rather than qualitative. To con- solidate China as one of the leaders in the process of economic globalization, it is important to ensure the eff ective management of such large centers of concentration of human and material resources as megacities. In this regard, much attention is paid to the analysis of trends and the conditions for the further development of Chinese cities. It is determined that in 20-25 years, more than 1,000,000,000 Chinese citizens will live in large cities. Th e process of converting them into a new modifi ed form, megalopolises, will continue. Th e factors that will infl uence the development of modern megacities, and the set of internal processes for their further development (political, social, economic, ethnic, religious and environmental) that require some structuring are identifi ed. Th e negative aspects of urbanization were iden- tifi ed: growing income inequality and a deterioration in population structure. To overcome these phenomena, restructuring of the regional economy and measures to overcome inequa- lity are considered useful, where preference is given to income distribution mechanisms de- pending on the quality of labor, stimulation of social responsibility of employers and others. Th is assessment of China’s demographic policy is aimed at improving family planning.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to clarifying the pe-culiarities of forming an inclusive educational environment in the Ukrainian education system and highlighting the strategies for its effective development by conducting a SWOT analysis. Theoretical methods of studying the study and analysis of philosophical, pedagogical and psychological literature were used to identify the state of the problem of formation of inclusive educational environ-ment in science, as well as its importance in the prepara-tion of students of social and pedagogical profile; synthe-sis, induction, deduction, generalization and systematiza-tion of existing scientific research results in order to de-termine the state of development of the problem and per-spective directions of its solution. Theoretical methods of studying the study and analy-sis of philosophical, pedagogical and psychological litera-ture were used to identify the state of the problem of formation of inclusive educational environment in science, as well as its importance in the preparation of students of social and pedagogical profile; synthesis, induction, de-duction, generalization and systematization of existing scientific research results in order to determine the state of development of the problem and perspective directions of its solution. It is established that SWOT analysis is a universal strategic planning technique aimed at finding the new opportunities and identifying the potential risks to effectively define the research object. Strengths of in-clusive educational environment are identified, such as implementation of democratic foundations of public order, existence of barrier-free physical and psychological envi-ronment, elimination of discriminatory manifestations and social stereotypes, emergence of new vectors of teachers’ professional development, cohesion of parental communi-ty, etc. Among the weaknesses are the substantive, func-tional and organizational aspects that determine the activities of socio-pedagogical profile. Possibilities of inclu-sive educational environment are discovered, which in-clude the preparation of social community for acceptance of people with special educational needs, emergence of experimental education institutions, mass media involve-ment in the work on formation of positive image of inclu-sive education, etc. The threats and obstacles to the for-mation of an effective inclusive educational environment are characterized, such as the lack of an adapted domes-tic model of the organization of inclusive education, the lack of a legal framework regulating all Based on the SWOT analysis, strategies for the effec-tive development of an inclusive educational environment were identified, for instance 1) a strategy of using strengths aimed at finding internal reserves, 2) a strategy of using strengths to overcome threats, 3) a strategy of using opportunities to overcome weaknesses, 4) a strate-gy for weakness elimination and threat prevention. It is emphasized that each of the identified strategies is im-plemented through the interaction between specialists of socio-pedagogical profile who are the subjects of inclusive education practice, whose level of professional training will significantly influence the problems of forming an effective inclusive education environment.

Suleiman, Elia. "The Occupation (and Life) Through an Absurdist Lens." Journal of Palestine Studies 32, no. 2 (January 1, 2003): 63–73. http://dx.doi.org/10.1525/jps.2003.32.2.63.

Full text
Abstract:
Elia Suleiman, born in Nazareth in 1960, is the first Palestinian filmmaker to be selected for the "official competition" of the Cannes International Film Festival: his Divine Intervention: A Chronicle of Love and Pain was not only one of the twenty-one films out of 939 entries chosen for the fifty-fifth festival in May 2002, it also won the Jury Prize and the Interna tional Critics Prize. Suleiman had already come to the attention of the 2001 Cannes Festival, where his short Cyber Palestine was shown at the "Directors' Fortnight." Though without formal training, Suleiman has been winning prizes since his first film, a short entitled Introduction to the End of an Argument, won the award for best experimental documentary-USA in 1991. This was followed by his 1992 short Homage by Assassination, which won a Rockefeller Prize. By the time he made his first full-length movie, Chronicle of a Disappearance (which won the prize for the best first-feature at the 1996 Venice International Film Festival), his style was already well developed: a progression of sketches——witty, surreal, ironic, often devastating——and a virtual absence of narrative; in the case of Chronicle, a main character (a filmmaker called E.S., played by Suleiman himself) appears in a number of the episodes, most of which shed harsh light on life in Nazareth, but his presence seems more accidental than part of a storyline. Film critic Stanley Kaufman of the New Republic called Chronicle of a Disappearance "a film of the absurd. If Ionesco had been a Palestinian and a filmmaker, he might have made it." While his recent film, Divine Intervention, is still very much an assemblage of vignettes, it does nonetheless have a semblance of narrative: a "central character" (again, a filmmaker named E.S., again played by Suleiman) shuttles between his hometown of Nazareth, where his father, beset by business woes, has a heart attack and lies dying; his apartment in East Jerusalem, where he is working on a screenplay; and a checkpoint between East Jerusalem and Ramallah, where he holds tender but wordless meetings in a parked car with his lover, a Ramallah woman hemmed in by borders and closures. In one of the checkpoint scenes that combines the visual beauty, whimsy, humor, and satire characteristic of the film, the hero inflates a large red balloon bearing the smiling visage of Yasir Arafat and releases it, creating havoc among the soldiers. Taking advantage of the ensuing confusion, the hero and his lover manage to speed through the checkpoint, while the camera follows the balloon as it soars over the landscape toward Jerusalem, floating over the rooftops of the Old City and past the Church of the Holy Sepulcher to a light on the Dome of the Rock. When Divine Intervention won the Jury Prize at Cannes, the New York Times (27 May 2002) called it "a Keatonesque exploration of the large and small absurdities of Palestinian life under occupation." And indeed, despite the humor, moments of tenderness, and laugh-out-loud sight gags, the film presents an all-too-realistic picture, pitiless and meticulous, of the devastating impact of occupation on Palestinian society both in Israel and in the occupied territories. Suleiman is witty and light, but dead serious; allergic to preaching, propaganda , and clichéé, but highly political. The underlying grimness of the film is relieved not only by the humor but by resort to fantasy: the hero, cruising a long a highway, casually tosses an apricot pit out of his car window and a tank blows up; a stunningly beautiful woman (the hero's lover) strides through a checkpoint, mesmerizing the soldiers with her fierce beauty, and a military watchtower collapses. The most elaborate such sequence is the spectacular "Ninja scene," a violently beautiful and stylized choreography wherein the same woman is imagined as a guerrilla fighter who dispatches (seemingly bloodlessly) a whole phalanx of Israeli sharpshooters who have been firing at her effigy in a shooting range. The meaning of the images, whose connectedness one to the next is not always immediately apparent, can leave the spectator temporarily puzzled; the New York Times of 7 October 2002 called them "cinematic riddles and visual puns, delivered in elegant deadpan." The cumulative impact, however, is clear, and the images themselves linger long after the film ends. New York Times critic A. O. Scott, while noting the film's "appearance of randomness," adds that there is "an oblique, elegant sense of structure here" and that "the interlocking series of setups, punch lines and non sequiturs add up to something touching, provocative, and wonderfully strange." Divine Intervention currently is being shown throughout Europe and will be opening in the Middle East and Israel in January 2003. Shown at the New York Film Festival in October 2002, it will open commercially in the United States in January. Suleiman, in Paris for the opening of his film, was interviewed by Linda Butler, associate editor of JPS, on 26 September 2002.

Abstract:
The rapid increase in solid waste is a major environmental problem and recycling is argued to be a better solution to the problem. However, there is a broad agreement that there is a gap between the increasing awareness for recycling and the recycling behaviour among the consumers. The aim of this study is to investigate the recycling behaviour among 62 residents of Tioman Island. A structured questionnaire that included 33 items is used to obtain the data. The findings show a significant relationship between recycling behaviour and collectivism; a positive, weak relationship with recycling attitudes; and a negative relationship with materialism. Keywords: recycling behaviour; recycling attitudes; materialism and collectivism. eISSN 2514-7528 © 2017 The Authors. Published for AMER ABRA by e-International Publishing House, Ltd., UK . Abstract:
Generally, the distribution systems have served for different types of loads like commercial, industrial, residential, agriculture and municipality etc. and diverse changes in consumption pattern occur at any part of the network at any time of the day. During light loading condition, the voltage profile can increase and vice versa for peak loading condition. Under these circumstances, it is worthwhile to understand the voltage stability for planning of any Volt/VAr controls. This paper has presented the voltage stability analysis of 12-bus and 85-bus standard radial distribution systems using line stability index. Different load models have been taken and under each model, the system performance as well as its stability discussed. The focal points are suitable for planning studies like Volt/VAr controls, optimal location of Distribution Generation (DG) or load shedding etc.

Abstract:
The article discusses the evolution of the architectural space of service objects in the zones of transport communication influence under worldview approaches. The highway is a publicly accessible and often primary carrier of the region's cultural traditions. The problem of philo-sophical knowledge of architecture as a form of culture in general and as applied to the research topic is connected with the development of public ideas and the progress of the engineering and construction industry. The construction of buildings and structures in the right-of-way spaces of large highways has a number of features, including the importance of natural and agricultural landscapes, low-rise buildings or their absence, the length of constructed complexes, the im-portance of sign communication. The importance of these features as an object of research with-in semiosis has not yet been fully assessed. The relevance of the work is conditioned by the cru-cial role of architecture in visual communication, the value-based practical perception and emo-tional and sensory exploration of the space of major highways. The author's aim is to analyse the semiotic role of the roadside development, the role being shaped when the dominant para-digms change. The research is based on factual data analysis through the prism of fundamental concepts. Some examples of how philosophical and cultural views influence the formation of architectural and planning structure of roadside objects are considered. The examples demon-strate that architectural objects in roadside spaces are not faceless, voluminous structures de-signed to meet the immediate needs of road users, but rather aesthetic and psychological forms of roadside area organisation that to a certain extent dictate user behaviour patterns. The func-tions of the architectural space are closely linked to the physiology of human perception and must be built on the visual properties of the environment. The preliminary situational analysis of the potential of the area and the image of roadside objects to “embed” architectural objects into the dynamically changing landscape must take into account the following: the environmental determinants and landscape values; the location of relatively large urban settlements, adjacent buildings (if any), road axes and open spaces; the dynamic perception of the space, the lines and corridors of visibility when a vehicle is moving; the points of the preferential view of the object; the visual and audial links between the main functional areas and the highway line. The form of existence and the ideological content of the road is a symbol of the chronotope of modernity, and its architectural arrangement is the main mechanism for transmitting culture. It is therefore important to find a way to preserve cultural identity in the application of this particular type of communication space. The analysis allows recommending the principles of highway develop-ment: consideration of the impact of local traditions, attractive integration, use of topography and expressive properties of the landscape, tolerance of architecture, environmental and social responsibility, sense of context, suitability for transformation, development of design code and branding. In the foreseeable future, the author believes that travel time will be treated as a use-ful experience, a learning and development activity, and a separate type of leisure time. We can speak about further transformation of the communication space into a useful or effective one and about other approaches to filling this space. Probable development scenarios for roadside buildings and structures, depending on the initial conditions of the terrain, are to provide condi-tioned external and internal visual connections of service areas and their optimal architectural and spatial organisation. The practical significance of the work lies in the possibility of using the results in further studies of roadside architecture development and identifying positive and neg-ative scenarios for the perception of this architecture.

Abstract:
The development of land reclamation in modern conditions, on the one hand, manifests itself as an important tool for increasing not only the yield, but also soil fertility, and on the other hand, it can cause degradation of the soil cover both by irrigation erosion and by raising mineralized groundwater. Therefore, the use of advanced methods and methods of irrigation is an important direction in improving land reclamation activities in various economic conditions. The use of digitization methods in planning crop yields and irrigation water volumes can be particularly important for this process, with the aim of mutually influencing the efficiency of agricultural production on reclaimed land.

Abstract:
Monetary policy, in general, refers to those steps taken by the Central Bank to achieve such broader objectives of the economy as growth, employment, external balance and price stability through changes in the money supply, interest rates and credit policies. The money supply thus created by the Central Bank should be in response to the changes in key macroeconomic target variables such as GNP, balance of payments, inflation, internal debt and unemployment. Indeed, a properly estimated monetary policy reaction function can provide useful information regarding such matters as to whether the Central Bank, in fact, has been systematically accommodating to the changes in the target variables. The reaction function can also provide insight into the question as to what should be the relevant indicators of the monetary policy. In addition, as argued by Havrilesky (1967), it may also play a crucial role in the formulation of long-term monetary policy strategy. The other important consideration in the development of a monetary policy reaction function pertains to the endogeneity of the monetary policy. As pointed out by Goldfeld and Blinder (1972), if a policy variable responds to the lagged (or expected) target values, then considering such a policy variable as exogenous would not only introduce the problem of misspecification but will also produce serious biases in the parameters estimated from those models. In particular, if the monetary policy variable happens to be strongly influenced by target variables, then the standard result of the relative effectiveness of the monetary policy vis-a-vis fiscal policy can be questionable on the grounds of reverse causation problem.
