Abstract:
A grating nanomeasurement device based on TMS320F28335 was presented, a novel subdivision algorithm for nanomeasurement was put forward and implemented in TMS320F28335. The analysis and test show that, through the pre-amplifying circuit well designed and through the data process algorithm optimized, the device applied with 20m pitch grating can realize 2nm resolution and greater than 200mm/s measurement speed. The experimental results of nanopositioning also demonstrate that the grating nanomeasurement device developed by the paper can be taken as nanomeasurement equipment used in nano-CMM and nanopositioning system.

An elderly people monitoring system based on 3-axis digital accelerometer ADXL345 and digital signal controller TMS320F28335 was designed based on 3-axis digital accelerometer ADXL345 and digital signal controller TMS320F28335. The human posture was collected from ADXL345 by the DSC28335. The FFT filtering algorithm was used to improve the detection accuracy. Then the exercise situation of the elderly people was calculated by using Pedometer algorithm. The fall information was calculated by analyzing the rate of acceleration change. The Beidou Satellite Navigation System was designed for collecting position data to protect the elderly people in different situation.

This paper researches on the control system for wind power generation of DFIG (Doubly Fed Induction Generator). DSP TMS320F28335 was used as the core CPU of the control system, which can meet the requirement of high precision and real time. An embedded real-time operation system (RTOS) was transplanted into TMS320F28335 and some function blocks in common use were added into the RTOS. The human-machine interface of the control system was programmed with LabVIEW, which perform the control function and can process the data came from the control system. By using this control system, many control arithmetic of wind power generation of DFIG can be tested in the laboratory.

When TMS320F28XXX DSP programs run from the on-chip flash, it’s about 30% slower than that from the on-chip RAM, which caused the poor performance when programs run directly from on-chip flash, so program code need to be transplanted to RAM in order to improve the running speed. This paper analyzes the running processes of TMS320F28335 DSP application and the code removal processes from on-chip FLASH to RAM, and then introduces the transplantation programming method. This method is verified feasible through the experiment designed in the project of gun control system based on DSP TMS320F28335, and it can be extended to practical engineering and industrial applications.

The discreteness of device parameters exists in the analog signal processing using conventional phase measurement methods, and the error caused by threshold voltage of comparator is difficult to estimate and eliminate. Due to this shortcoming, a method based on TMS320F28335 eCAP module for measuring the phase difference is presented. Firstly, the AC signal is amplified and filtered to eliminate the error introduced by electromagnetic interference, and then the digital signal through the Schmitt Trigger designed by CPLD is converted to wave signal with the same frequency of the signal, by capturing the edge-triggered, enters the capture interruption subroutine to calculate the number of the sampling points of one period, finally the phase difference is calculated according to correlation method. Hardware circuit and software flow chart are given. The experimental results verify the method has higher reliability and precision than conventional methods.

<p class="Default">This paper presents the experimental investigation of DSP based 4Ф Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) Drive. SRM is a doubly-salient, singly-excited machine and having very simple construction, has a low inertia and allows an extremely high-speed operation. The control system of SRM is highly complex due to non linear nature. In such a system for implementing control algorithm needs high speed processor. In this work TMS320F28335 DSP processor is used to implement the inner loop PI current controller and outer loop PI speed controller. The TMS320F28335 is highly integrated, high performance solution for challenging control applications. The various experimental tests are carried out in 1 HP 4Ф SRM. The experimental results are reported in order to verify the steady state, transient and robustness performance of the controller.</p>

SVG can compensate reactive power deficiency, suppress harmonics, improve three-phase imbalance and power quality more flexibly. There are very few small volume SVG products available for low voltage distribution network in the past. The generic SVG products are very expansive, thus not suitable for low voltage distribution network. Therefore, it is an urgent task to design a new generation distribution network SVG product that offers good value for money. This paper studied a SVG digital controller based on TMS320F28335 DSP chip. The fast and powerful computing and parallel operation capability of TMS320F28335 can satisfy the real-time, multifunction and multiple objective coordination control of SVG. Applied the instantaneous reactive power theory and adopted current direct control mode, an enhanced filtering algorithm to filter instantaneous sampling value is proposed. Automatic bi-directional compensation control strategy effectively reduced voltage variation at the user side. Its effectiveness is verified by an engineering project.

Aiming at the characteristic of nonlinear and natural unsteadiness in rotary inverted pendulum system. This kind of system uses the DSP TMS320F28335 of TI as the control and testing core of this system, adopts DC motor JGB37-3530 and motor drive L298, high precision potentiometer WDY35D4 as sample controller. Angle-to-resistance-to-voltage conversion is achieved by potentiometer, sensors export analog voltage to the first-order filter for filtering noise and transmit signal to the interior of TMS320F28335 and take ADC sample, then use digital filter algorithms to filter the signal again. Finally using double-loop PID control scheme to control motor precisely. Both DSP algorithm and program are implemented by Model-Based Design in Matlab, according to the process of model-simulation-code generation, this rotary inverted pendulum realizes the function of pendulum inverted and rotated. Experiments show this system has a stable and rapid transient process, possesses good stability and resisting disturbance.

This paper develops a neural network (NN) vector controller for an interior mounted permanent magnet (IPM) motor by using a Texas Instrument TMS320F28335 digital signal processor (DSP). The NN controller is developed based on the complete state-space equation of an IPM motor and it is trained to achieve optimal control according to approximate dynamic programming (ADP). A DSP-based NN control system is built for an IPM motor drives system, and a high efficient DSP program is developed to implement the NN control algorithm while considering the limited memory and computing capability of the TMS320F28335 DSP. The DSP-based NN controller is able to manage IPM motor control in linear, over, and six-step modulation regions to improve the efficiency of IPM drives and to allow for the full utilization of DC bus voltage with space-vector pulse-width modulation (SVPWM). The experiment results show that the proposed NN controller is able to operate with a sampling period of 0.1ms, even with limited DSP resources of up to 150 MHz cycle time, which is applicable in practical motor industrial implementations. The NN controller has demonstrated a better current and speed tracking performance than the conventional standard vector controller for IPM operation in both the linear and over-modulation regions.

A well-performed switched reluctance motor drive system was designed, and the diagram of the hardware on the basis of control system by TMS320F28335 chip was given. A fuzzy PI control method is developed to control SRM in drive system. On the platform of MATLAB/Simulink, the SRM drive system was researched and simulated. The stability of system is analyzed. The results indicated that the performance of SRM speed control system by fuzzy PI control algorithm is obviously better than that by conventional PI control algorithm.

The mathematical model of the grid-side converter is analyzed. A control system of the grid-side converter used in 7.5kW doubly-fed wind power generation simulation test platform is designed. The control strategies of stabilizing DC-link voltage and unity power factor control operating at sub-synchronous and super-synchronous state are realized. A non-contact online measuring system is developed to measure the contour error of the middle-convex and varying ellipse piston. A high accuracy laser displacement sensor is used to measure the elliptical profiles of the piston, and a measuring collector is designed based on digital signal processor (DSP) TMS320F28335 to ensure strict correspondence between the angles and the radii data of the sampling points. The measured data is analyzed with least square method to calculate the contour error of the pistons cross section. The reliability of the measuring system is proved by experiment.

A hierarchical control algorithm was designed and the studies for the performance of the driver were conducted. The results suggest that the driver could provide accurate drive current for MR damper, and meanwhile the respond time is less than 2ms, which can meet the drive requirements of MR damper.

We adopt the first-order digital filter to handle the data acquired from three phase currents and realize the speed and current double closed loop control by the incremental PI regulation. In Matlab/Simulink, we build the flux-weaken control system simulation model with the double closed loop. For the 40kw IPMSM, we develop the experimental platform based on TMS320F28335. The simulation and experiment archive a good control effect.

The experiment system takes six metal-oxide semiconducter gas sensors as well as temperature and humidity sensors in comprising the sensor array module, followed the excellent detection principle how to choose, and choose CH4 and H2 as the test samples and use dual-BP neural-network with the temperature and humidity compensation function as the method to recognize and measure single gas and mixed gases respectively. The result shows that the measuring instrument has higher measuring accuracy and overcomes the shortcoming of other methods, and has important practical application value.

In this paper, we develop a temperature control system based on DSP chip TMS320F28335 for a small real-time PCR instrument. In the system, PWM waves generated by the DSP passes through power amplifier circuit to drive the peltier, and a pt100 is used as a temperature sensor to build a Wheatstone bridge sensing circuit. The temperature signal from the pt100 is converted into voltage signal. Then the voltage signal goes through the A/D converted module and the Position PID algorithm to adjust the duty cycle of the PWM waves. Experimental results show that the system's rising and cooling rate can reach 4°C/s with an accuracy of 0.2°C.

This paper presents a nonlinear direct torque control (NDTC) strategy of interior permanent magnet synchronous motors (IPMSMs) for electric vehicle (EV) propulsion. The proposed NDTC scheme applies a nonlinear model of IPMSM to dynamically determine the optimal switching states that optimize the EV drivers’ decision to reduce the workload. Moreover, the proposed NDTC method has a simple control structure and can explicitly handle system constraints and nonlinearities. The performance evaluation is conducted via a prototype IPMSM test-bed with a TMS320F28335 DSP. Comparative experimental results provide the evidence of improvements of the proposed NDTC strategy over the conventional DTC strategy by indicating a fast torque response and an accurate speed tracking even under rapid speed change conditions.

This experiment aims to examine the effectiveness of BLDC motor by testing the BLDC motor of 100 watt. It was found that the speed response of BLDC motor can be regulated at the operating speed of 700 rpm and 1400 rpm at no load and full load conditions.

The objective of this work is to build a real-time nonlinear hybrid approach combining Backstepping control and sliding mode control strategies for DFIG used in wind energy conversion systems (WECS). The results of the DSP implementation are discussed and qualitative and quantitative performance evaluations are performed under various disturbed conditions. The implementation is performed using the TMS320F28335 DSP combined with the MATLAB/Simulink (2016a) environment. The experimental results have been satisfactorily achieved, which implies that the proposed strategy is an efficient and robust approach to monitor the WECS.

The proposal has the advantages of less switch components, high step-up voltage capability and no leakage current. The three operation modes are discussed and the modulation strategy is designed. Finally, the prototype of the proposed new single-phase single-stage non-isolated inverter is established. The experimental results show that the proposed inverter achieved the boosted ability as well as the sinusoidal output voltage, whose total harmonic distortion is well below 5%, which meets the IEEE Std. 519-2014.

Based on the principle of derived CNC, a NC lathe system is redesigned for cutting ship engine pistons which have a non-circular middle-convex and varying oval (NMVO) profile in the skirt. With an attached high-speed linear motor servo unit, a new derived CNC lathe system based on a normal NC lathe system is developed to machine non-circular section. Using this method, the development cost is reduced. A moving magnet voice coil motor is designed as the actuator to provide sufficient stroke and driving force for the cutting. The controller of the derived unit is designed based on digital signal processor (DSP) TMS320F28335, and a method of pre-interpolating data on main computer is employed in the software development. By doing this, the real-time performance of the system is satisfied.
