Abstract:
Retrosynthesis has been likened to the game of chess. There are relatively simple rules to learn, but only through experience and practice can a learner acquire the tacit knowledge required for mastery of the subject. This makes it a challenging topic to teach effectively to a large and diverse cohort of learners. Lectures are a good way of transmitting knowledge, but do not provide the engagement and training that is essential in developing a deep understanding of retrosynthesis. Therefore, students tend to struggle to achieve success in this topic. This project aimed to alleviate this problem by producing online learning resources to be combined with traditional face-to-face teaching methods to develop a blended learning approach. These resources included animated videos, quizzes, worked examples and other interactive learning materials. Analysis of examination results and learner feedback showed that the supplementary resources not only improved student performance and understanding, but also provided a more satisfactory learning experience. External evaluation suggested that the learning package has significant potential and development should be continued. Abstract:
For an enhanced learning experience, along with conventional classroom and laboratory teaching, project-based learning (PBL) has been introduced in the curriculum to motivate students to learn by working in a group cooperatively. However, true learning depends on the successful implementation of Project-Based Learning teaching methodology. In this paper, a case study of the implementation of the PBL over a semester is presented with outcome measurement for the Second Year Electrical Engineering students. Initially, a project-based learning implementation strategy is designed in line with the curriculum prescribed by the Savitribai Phule Pune University (formerly Pune University). It is then carried out over a semester as per the predefined schedule. Outcome measurement is done at the end of the semester by collecting course feedback from individual students. The analysis of the course feedback showed the development of knowledge and skills of the subject matter in students. Abstract:
What kind of knowledge can narratives transmit beyond their explicit propositional content? An extreme reductionist would argue that no additional knowledge is transmitted. A moderate reductionist might suggest that narratives can impart an additional structure to the knowledge, such as emphasizing importance or plausibility. In contrast, a moderate non-reductionist would assert that narratives contain non-explicit propositional content, including causal relationships between events and generalizations. Finally, an extreme non-reductionist would see stories as a means to transmit non-propositional knowledge, most prominently, knowledge of persons and personal perspectives. This categorization aids in understanding which aspects of narrative knowledge could be accessible to artificial intelligence.

Abstract:
Biofilms invariably colonize drinking water distribution systems with intensities and patterns governed by the habitat's environment. Water temperature and flow dynamics, nutrient availability, disinfectant residual and pipe material determine their development, structure and composition. Drinking water pipe biofilms control microbial regrowth and are a possible source of pathogens. However, these are possibly released at levels that do not generally impart hazards to healthy drinking water consumers. A deeper understanding of drinking water biofilms microbial ecology must be achieved before this issue can be adequately assessed.

Abstract:
With the continuous development and progress of science and technology in China, more and more schools and teachers are beginning to combine the "Internet" technology for teaching. Under the background of the Internet, teachers should strive to create a relaxed, equal and democratic atmosphere in the classroom, so that they can impart knowledge to students well and students can master it better. In campus, both tacit knowledge and explicit knowledge need teachers to keep pace with the times, give full play to the advantages of computer and Internet, and effectively impart knowledge to students. By the combination of "Internet" and foreign language teaching in colleges and universities, the community teaching mode has made the foreign language curriculum in colleges and universities better developed. Under the background of "Internet ", the community construction of teachers' professional development makes teachers' professional development closely related to the Internet, which is the inevitable trend of teachers' professional development.

Much is made of the potential of prison education to impart knowledge and skills and transform life chances. Prison education is tasked with delivering qualifications and effecting recidivism. In assessing current arrangements for the delivery of prison education and reviews and evaluations of its impact on recidivism in England and Wales, this article argues that prison education should be an inclusive activity. Specifically, prison education should focus less on individual development and more on whole class ‘domains,’ in particular, knowledge of (re)integration. Research, policy, and practice on civic/citizenship education provide models in this regard.

Abstract:
Recent years have seen a disconnect between much-needed real-world skills and knowledge imparted to cybersecurity graduates by higher education institutions. As employers are shifting their focus to skills and competencies when hiring fresh graduates, higher education institutions are facing a call to action to design curricula that impart relevant knowledge, skills, and competencies to their graduates, and to devise effective means to assess them. Some institutions have successfully engaged with industry partners in creating apprenticeship programs and work-based learning for their students. However, not all educational institutions have similar capabilities and resources. A trend in engineering, computer science, and information technology programs across the United States is to design project-based or scenario-based curricula that impart relevant knowledge, skills, and competencies. At our institution, we have taken an innovative approach in designing our cybersecurity courses using scenario-based learning and assessing knowledge, skills, and competencies using scenario-guiding questions. We have used the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Cybersecurity Workforce Framework and the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Hiring Cybersecurity Workforce report for skills, knowledge, and competency mapping. This paper highlights our approach, presenting its overall design and two example mappings.

Abstract:
English is an important international language. Whether it is international economic or international political communication, it is inseparable from English. English teaching is mainly to impart the basic knowledge of English as well as the knowledge of audiovisual knowledge. However, the traditional English teaching mode often ignores the expression of English emotion and the background of English. The traditional English teaching mode often uses textbooks and other forms to impart knowledge, which can no longer meet the English teaching in today’s era. Computer-aided systems have become an important technology in the field of teaching today. Multimedia technology can also show English knowledge to students in the form of video or audio. This will increase students’ interest in learning English. This research will use computer platform and multimedia technology to build a new English teaching platform. It also uses the ConvLSTM algorithm and the CF algorithm to implement the active recommendation function of English knowledge. The research results show that multimedia technology can achieve the purpose of collecting video and audio information in the process of English teaching. The CF algorithm has a specific high similarity index in recommending English knowledge. The ConvLSTM method can also better predict the characteristics of English grammar and English emotion in the English teaching process. This can also show that the multimedia-assisted English teaching mode has a certain use value for different English teaching scenarios.

Abstract:
This Article argues that to understand the nomos we must study law and litigation as represented in pop culture, specifically, on television. We must acknowledge the power of legal pop culture, and then read, translate, and discern the meanings of its stories. Moreover, because the various pop cultural representations of law exert neither the same function nor force, we must also consider pop legal culture with an eye toward understanding the impact of these lexi-cultural texts. After synopsizing Cover's theory of nomos, this Article defines narrative and its critical role in understanding and institutionalizing law. Recognizing law's rich narrative regime, this Article locates within contemporary culture the dominant legal narratives. It argues that law's primary narratives appear in pop culture, commonly on television's syndicated daytime courtrooms. Indeed, the narrative structure of syndi-court as enhanced by its television production elements make it a powerful narrative force. Relying on cultivation theory adapted for genre-specific effects, this Article reports a group of studies investigating syndi-court's narrative function, that is, its ability to impart factual legal knowledge (legal rules) and normative legal knowledge as expressed as values and heuristics guiding legally-implicated behavior. The results suggest that while syndi-court does not teach specific legal rules, it does impart normative knowledge, such as when and how to litigate, along with the cultural and moral appropriateness of doing so. This Article concludes by extrapolating these results to build a theory explaining the particular ways in which syndi-court contributes to the nomos.

Abstract:
Teachers need to understand the economic and global contexts that underpin the curriculum because they impact on the interpretation, definition and perception of their role. Grundy (1994) maintains that there is a “… taken for granted view of the curriculum as something that is given to, or provided for, students” (p.27). This view of curriculum fails to acknowledge the crucial, dynamic role that teachers and students bring to the active construction of knowledge. Teachers need to be prepared to understand the ideologies underpinning the curriculum that they interpret and deliver. They should be aware of the reconstruction of knowledge and the changing values that they impart through the delivery of the curriculum. The politicisation of education directly affects teachers. This new alternative concept of teaching is changing the role of teachers from professional contextualists to that of technocratic reductionists (Codd, 1998).

Abstract:
With the rise in multinational corporations (MNCs), there is a greater need than ever to comprehend how parent businesses oversee their subsidiaries' activities and impart knowledge to them. Japanese businesses have led the way in this area, implementing techniques like the Toyota Production System (TPS) to transfer the Japanese manufacturing ethos and uphold quality and control in their foreign operations. While there has been much discussion about the process of transferring Japanese manufacturing capabilities, little is known about how these methods are really acquired and integrated into the operations of the subsidiaries that are expected to employ them. This article looks at the parent company's perspective on the transfer of manufacturing knowledge to the subsidiary. Thus, a comprehensive qualitative study was conducted in the Japanese multinational's subsidiary, encompassing three major manufacturing initiatives (or philosophies): "TPS," "TPM," and "TS." Case data was gathered through 52 in-depth interviews with project participants, documentation, and moderate-participant observations. By using the subsidiary's procedures, the formation of the entire process, and most importantly the utilization and development of episodes in snapshots to understand the process adds to our understanding of knowledge transfer. This article further elaborates how replication is a major element in episodic knowledge transfer.

Abstract:
Little is known about if and how team coaches disseminate nutrition information to athletes. In a census survey, New Zealand premier rugby coaches (n = 168) completed a psychometrically validated questionnaire, received by either Internet or standard mail (response rate, 46%), identifying their nutrition advice dissemination practices to players, their level of nutrition knowledge, and the factors determining this level of knowledge. The majority of coaches provided advice to their players (83.8%). Coaches responded correctly to 55.6% of all knowledge questions. An independent t-test showed coaches who imparted nutrition advice obtained a significantly greater score, 56.8%, than those not imparting advice, 48.4% (P = 0.008). One-way ANOVA showed significant relationships between total knowledge score of all coaches and qualifications [F(1,166) = 5.28, P = 0.001], own knowledge rating [F(3,164) = 6.88, P = 0.001] and nutrition training [F(1,166) = 9.83, P = 0.002]. We conclude that these rugby coaches were inadequately prepared to impart nutrition advice to athletes and could benefit from further nutrition training.

Abstract:
The article aimed to investigate the perspectives of e-tutors regarding the importance of Technological Pedagogical Knowledge in an Open Distance e-Learning Institution. The article employs a quantitative survey method to allow students to articulate their impressions of how e-tutors leverage their topic expertise to impart knowledge. The study includes 350 students who are enrolled in a module. Its objective was to gain insights, using quantitative analysis, into the techniques used by e-tutors in delivering content. During the delivery of content, e-tutors provided explanations and support for different viewpoints, taking into account students’ input on the choice, execution, and overall impact of teaching methods. The collected data were arranged and presented in tables. E-tutors recognized the use of Technological Pedagogical Knowledge (TPK) to assist and enhance online student activities. Therefore, it was found that constructivism could help to incorporate the TPK framework, thereby enhancing students’ understanding of the instructional design process. However, the study discovered a lack of comprehension among e-tutors regarding the TPK concept in relation to curriculum design.

Abstract:
The burgeoning use of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UASs) has, regrettably, not been met with an appropriate integration of training science into UAS training efforts. At best, current UAS training efforts are fragmented; at worst, they are ineffective (Stulberg, 2007). However, this need not be the case. Though nascent, the UAS literature has identified many necessary knowledge, skill, and attitude (KSA) components of UAS operation. This article works to aid the UAS training community in combining practice with science. In order to accomplish this goal, the emerging UAS knowledge base is collected herein as a taxonomy of KSAs. These KSAs are joined by a listing of training methodologies that can be used to impart them to UAS operator teams. Finally, these KSAs and methods are used to resolve example training deficiencies drawn from the literature.

The aim of clinical research is to impart knowledge that will improve human health or improve understanding of human physiology. Although, till the end of 20 century pregnancy was always under exclusion criteria, now pervasive exclusion of pregnant women in clinical trials is currently not justified. Pregnancy brings in an array of anatomical, physiological and biochemical changes that can impact the pharmacokinetics of important medications. Pregnancy is often accompanied by chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension, tuberculosis, HIV, depression which can require long term therapy. This indicates a need for studies being conducted exclusively in pregnant women. Current communication narrates ethical and regulatory aspects of inclusion of pregnant women in clinical trials.
