Eating disorders can lead to a negative impact on students' academic growth, nutrition and can cause death (Claude-Pierre, 1997; Manley, Rickson, & Standeven, 2000; Romeo, 1996). Early intervention by referring students to professional counseling might help counter these negative consequences. The teacher is in the position to assist students by providing health information, identifying those with problems, and intervening for a variety of dysfunctions that may include the eating disorders called anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa (Myers-Clark & Christopher, 2000). Abstract The influence of wind effects on local atmospheric corrosivity was measured and modeled. Six sets of CLIMAT units were placed among devices that provided various degrees of wind sheltering near a deiced highway. Although each set was exposed to the same relative humidity, there was a 34-fold difference between the average mass loss of the most wind-protected and the least wind-protected sets. This is consistent with the concept that atmospheric corrosion rates depend primarily on salt aerosol deposition rates, which in turn depend on local wind velocity and turbulence patterns. Theref

Abstract A method is developed whereby it is possible to determine the width of the potential difference interval, ΔE, within which, on the basis of given criteria, the shape of the experimental polarization curve of an electrochemical system may be assumed to be linear. The study is based on the best-fitting of experimental polarization curves by the INTER1 code. If use is made, as in the present case, of the numerical analysis, the polynomial best-fitting allows all the aspects of this problem, except the determination of the roots of the final equation, to be developed analytically.
