Political ideological pluralism, religious diversity are characteristic features of modern Ukrainian society. On the one hand, multiculturalism, socio-political, religious differentiation of the latter appear as important characteristics of its democracy, as a practical expression of freedom, on the other - as a factor that led to the deconsocialization of society, gave rise to "nodal points" of tension, confrontational processes, in particular, in political and religious spheres.

Abstract:
Tolerance is one of the important values of the French education system that is brought up at school. Transferring values is the mission of the school along with the transfer of knowledge and skills. The need for fostering tolerance in French school students is driven by the current political and socio-economic situation in France. The rise in manifestations of intolerance, violence, xenophobia, racism in society has led the state to take active steps in public education, in particular, to introduce such a compulsory subject as moral and civic education. The purpose of the article is to highlight the experience of fostering tolerance in French secondary schools in the context of the school subject of "moral and civic education". The process of education of tolerance through the prism of moral and civic education is considered in the article. By analyzing the content of the curriculum, as well as methods such as synthesis, generalization, systematization, structural method, the basic approaches to the education of tolerance, the corresponding principles of moral and civic education, as well as the components by which the introduction of tolerance to the students of French schools are highlighted. Educating tolerance in French secondary schools is a systematic, ongoing process organized at the state level. It is implemented, inter alia, through the teaching of the compulsory subject of "moral and civic education", which covers all students from elementary to high school. Education of tolerance is carried out in accordance with the principles of moral and civic education (principle of autonomy, principle of discipline, principle of coexistence, principle of community) and is based on the values of the French Republic. According to the principles of moral and civic education, the following approaches to the cultivation of tolerance have been identified: sensitive, normative, cognitive and practical. Each of these approaches has different components, such as sensitivity, judgment, law and rule, obligation and responsibility. They find their practice in the subject of "moral and civic education".

Tolerance specification is the activity of specifying tolerances. In current 3D-CAD system, tolerance types and tolerance values are specified by designer manully, and the validity checking of tolerance is no available. To achieve semi-automatic tolerance specification, geometric feature in the next-generation Geometrical Product Specifications and Verification (GPS) was introduced, the corresponding rules between geometric features and tolerance types were presented; The recommended values for tolerance were stored in a database system and constrainted by tolerance principles. Additionally, the implementation of computer aided geometric tolerance specification was proposed. Finally, the initial prototype system was developed to demonstrate the proposed scheme, which aides designer to define reasonable tolerance types and tolerance values in 3D-CAD system.

Abstract:
Indonesia is a biggest Muslim, and yet multi-cultural, country. Religious tolerance is a key issue for harmony, and correct understanding of this principle is highly important. Maqāṣid approach serves one of the alternatives for such understanding. This study aims to elucidate the concept of interfaith tolerance from the perspective of the maqāṣid offered by Ibn ʿĀshūr‘s interpretation and analyze its relevance to the context of Indonesian diversity. This study is based on his work al-Taḥrīr wa al-Tanwīr and finds several important principles of interreligious tolerance from the perspective of the Qur’an. As a Muslim reformer, Ibn ʿĀshūr sees that tolerance is one crucial issue that religious followers are now facing. Grounded on the maqāṣid approach, he finds several principles of interreligious relation from the Quranic verses. These principles fit to the highest objective of Islamic law (maqāṣid al-sharīʿa). These include drawing the common good and leaving away the damage, egalitarian, justice, conscience and freedom. These principles in the context of Indonesia are important and necessary in order to maintain harmony among religious people and the unity of the Republic of Indonesia.

Abstract:
The article analyzes the concept of religious tolerance in the context of the relationship be-tween its legal support and the practice of interfaith relations. Tolerance is viewed as one of the key principles of modern policy and practice of interfaith relations in the Russian poly-confessional religious community in close connection with the principles of freedom of con-science and confessional equality. The measure of religious tolerance is social loyalty and hu-manistic potential of a particular religious denomination. The historical origins of religious toler-ance in Islam and Orthodoxy, as well as pre-revolutionary, Soviet and modern Russian models of interfaith relations and religious politics are investigated. The characteristic of the legislative base of the modern Russian model of religious tolerance is given. Tolerance as a norm of inter-faith relations is considered on three levels. At the level of individual religious behavior of be-lievers, religious tolerance is manifested as a loyal attitude towards non-believers and atheists. At the level of interchurch relations of confessions, tolerance is realized as an orientation towards the inter-confessional world, dialogue and cooperation of confessions in maintaining the socio-cultural stability of Russian society. At the level of the religious policy of a poly-confessional state, religious tolerance is viewed in the context of the flexible, situational implementation of the principles of freedom of conscience, confessional equality, as well as ensuring effective co-operation between traditional churches and the Russian state in improving the spiritual potential and social stability of Russian society. The authors state that religious tolerance is an ultimate principle for modern spiritual situation in the Russian Federation although there is not complete correspondence between its legislative declaration and the real practice of interfaith relations. The task of state policy in the field of religion is to optimize interfaith relations in the country, relying on the support and organization of effective dialogue and cooperation between church organizations of traditional Russian confessions, both at the regional level and at the level of their central, governing bodies.

Abstract:
Before 12.12.2018 in the official UN documents, the English-language concept of "tolerance" always corresponded to the Russian-language concept of «forbearance». Both these concepts were used to denote the optimal principle of relationships between people with different immanent features (hereinafter – "the optimal principle of relationships"). However, starting with 12.12.2018, the English-language concept of "tolerance" corresponds not only to the concept of «forbearance» in the Russian-language UN documents, but also to the concept of «tolerance» proper. The existence of such dualism creates difficulties in interpreting the provisions of the Russian Constitution on human rights and other laws. Therefore, it became necessary to understand which of the two concepts is more consistent with the content of the "optimal principle of relations". The study examined scientific sources, more than two thousand documents in the official languages of the UN, and examined the relationship between the concepts of "tolerance": "forbearance" and "tolerance" proper in official documents. Conclusions were made that it is not possible to definitely establish from documents in Russian which of the concepts is more consistent with the content of the "optimal principle of relationships"; from the content of the UN documents in all languages, as well as scientific papers, it follows that semantically this principle corresponds to the concept of «tolerance». The full description of the principle is presented in the document "Declaration of the Principles of Tolerance"; this allows the content of the declaration to be used in interpreting article 2 and other provisions of the Constitution.

Abstract:
Religious tolerance in Islam can be looked at from two perspectives: firstly, the theory of religious tolerance particularly propounded in the Qur’an; secondly, the practices of religious tolerance exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad and his Successors. Islam as a religion consists of certain principles that deal with its adherents and non-adherents. Some of these principles are very fundamental for Muslims, who raise a question as to what extent Islam allows its adherents to tolerate others in matters that affect these fundamental principles. This question is very much relevant to multi-racial and multi-religious Malaysia which has its experiences of harmony among its various religious communities, reducing tension within the society. This article discusses all these dimensions of religious tolerance with special reference to Malaysia, concluding that tolerance can be achieved only when there is a mutual understanding amongst the members of a society and an eagerness to respect each other’s rights.

According to Kantian philosophy, it is freedom that should sanction religion and not religion that should sanction freedom. This thesis is the basic condition for religious tolerance, and it is grounded in three principles that regulate the relationship between politics and religion, namely: the principle of non-coercive force of religious belief; the moral requirement of truthfulness in professions of belief; and, the submission of religion to the principle of publicity. The objective of this paper is to present, explain and justify the application of these three principles towards the notion of religion and to indicate how they might help to understand political and moral issues regarding religious intolerance.

Abstract:
The deepening and development of epistemological issues on the one hand, and the unpleasant historical experience on the other hand, made modern humanity after the Renaissance gradually became tolerant and recognized "the Other." The epistemological basis for tolerance is the obscurity and complexity of truth and difference in the understanding of human beings. Its moral basis is not to see oneself as above others and to endure the intricacies of practicing morality. Tolerance is rational for two reasons: one is the epistemological basis that hinders the dogma of possessing absolute truth, self-knowledge, and repudiating others; the other is the advantages of tolerance for collective living. This article seeks to show that Rumi, while paying attention to the moral and epistemological principles of tolerance, goes beyond the rational tolerance of calculating profits, losses, and trading. According to his mystical view, his tolerance is a “loving tolerance,” a tolerance which is based solely on love and compassion towards human beings, rather than being based on calculations of profit and loss, with no expectation for reward.

The article is devoted to the modern interpretation of the methodology of theoretical simulation of international relations – the system of the methodological principles. This study covers the principles of empirical approach, value approach, management approach, abstraction, necessary idealization, tolerance, creativity, historical and predictive approach and reasonable actualization. Each of the proposed principles focuses on individual, but synergistically linked and relevant to the researcher notional subject– the being of international relations. In addition, analysis of international relations is impossible without an application of the principles of materialism, synarchism, system-defined approach, coherence and emergence. Thus, the need to apply the specialized principle of emergence, derived from the principle of synarchism, is caused by the fact that the system of international relations is constantly evolving followed by the new formats of interaction between actors as well as the appearance of new functionally organized structures represented by, for example, new international organizations that emerged in the era of globalization.

Abstract:
This monograph challenges the notion that Islam is, at its core, an intolerantreligion. Through a careful reading of the Qur’an, the Hadith literature, andextra-canonical texts, as well as examples from history, Reza Shah-Kazemiargues that Islam is rooted in an inclusivist ethic that permeates the founda-tions of Islamic belief and practice. He provides numerous examples of howMuslims have behaved in accordance with the Islamic values of unity(tawḥīd), mercy (raḥmān), and compassion (raḥmah) elucidated in theQur’an and the Hadith, and illustrated in history from the early Islamic periodto recent centuries. This volume provides an academic and sophisticated readingof tolerance in Muslim history that is accessible to the scholar, student, and layperson interested in how Islam deals with religious minorities. The introduction begins with the proposal that Islam is, at its foundation, committed to the principle of religious pluralism. Backed by eminent thinkers, including Wilfred Cantwell Smith (d. 2000) and John Locke (d. 1704), Shah-Kazemi describes this principle in terms of the “inalienable dignity” of allhuman beings as cited in Q. 30:30 and Q. 17:70: “We have bestowed dignityon the progeny of Adam [and Eve]” (p. 12). Examples of this principle are seenin the behavior of the Prophet as well as in that of his cousin and son-in-lawAli ibn Abi Talib, individuals who, in the author’s perspective, communicatedthe rule of compassion (raḥmah) throughout their lives. At the conclusion ofthis chapter, the author suggests that this practice be revived, for it accords withwestern secular principles that are not “an expression of its own specificallyreligious traditions,” but rather a result of the intra-religious wars that accompaniedthe Reformation. Shah-Kazemi uses the rest of this volume to elucidatethis spirit, which is best expressed in Q. 49:13: “O humanity, We have createdyou male and female, and We have made you into tribes and nations in orderthat you might come to know one another” (p. 19) ...

Tolerance where the upper deviation is smaller than the lower deviation is defined as virtual tolerance. The essence of virtual tolerance is illustrated in this paper: the absolute value of virtual tolerance is the amount of error compensation whose range is the difference between the upper deviation and the lower deviation. This value can be described as virtual tolerance and provides a basis for the theory of tolerance. Based on this theory, we can unify calculation principles and methods regarding various types of assembly dimension chains, accurately calculate the tolerance of dimensional chains for assembly with compensation assemblies, and put forward a general calculation method for false waste product intervals.

Abstract:
The article defines and analyzes the principles of the administrative and legal mechanism to prevent bullying, to distribute them. The general principles of law, as well as the principles of administrative law are studied. It is indicated that the principles in the system of the administrative and legal mechanism of bullying prevention occupy a decisive place among other elements of the normative-legal block. It is proposed to divide the principles of the administrative-legal mechanism of bullying prevention into two groups: organic and organizational and functional. It is emphasized that organic principles are the fundamental basis and determine the very nature of bullying and the corresponding rights of participants in the educational process, which are violated in its implementation. It is stated that without these principles, in general, it is impossible to talk about the need to ensure the rights and freedoms of participants in the educational process in general and children, as the main category of these participants in particular. It is noted that the organic principles of the administrative and legal mechanism of bullying prevention should include: the principles of equality, non-discrimination, tolerant behavior, ensuring the best interests of the child, zero tolerance for bullying. It is determined that the organizational and functional principles follow from the purpose, purpose and activities of public administration entities and directly affect the implementation of the administrative and legal mechanism to prevent bullying. These include: the principle of priority of ensuring, observing and protecting human and civil rights and freedoms (participants in the educational process), the principle of rule of law, legality, competence, cooperation and interaction, prevention, responsibility, good governance, humanism and justice.

Abstract:
The article, based on clarifying the content of related concepts of law-making, considers the principles of the rule-making activity as the power activity of public authorities. Such principles include the principles of humanism, democracy, the rule of law, human rights, and scientific validity of rule-making decisions, which necessitates the professionalism of rule-making activities, planning, systematics, complexity, timely revision and updating of legislation, and transparency. The content of these principles is revealed, their ranking is carried out, their importance for legal science and practice is emphasized, and the positions of scientists concerning their optimal list and characteristics are analyzed. In particular, attention is drawn to the fact that the principle of humanism is reflected in the fundamental values that underlie the constitutional order, the basis of the current law and human rights enshrined in the Constitution and laws of Ukraine: human dignity, the right to self-realization, justice and freedom, non-discrimination and equality before thelaw, tolerance, responsibility and respect for others. The principle of democracy, as a fundamental principle of rule-making, legitimizes the subjects of rule-making and creates a basis for their legal activities. The rule of law is also a fundamental principle of rule-making (including its components such as the principle of direct effect of the Constitution of Ukraine, the rule of the Constitution as the Basic Law, the principle of legality, legal certainty, the equality before the law and non-discrimination, and proportionality). It is emphasized that the principle of scientific validity of rule-making decisions necessitates professionalism of rule-making activities, and ensuring a high professional level of rule-makers makes it possible to carry out rule-making activities at a high scientific level, on a planned, systematic, comprehensive basis, the legal regulation of public relations, and the implementation of state functions. Aspects of the principle of publicity of normative activity of the Parliament, the Government, and the President of Ukraine are also analyzed.

Abstract:
The mankind is going the way of the fast scientific and technological progress, at the same time feeling shortage of respect, kindness, and mutual understanding in this global process. The modern scientific and technical progress is leaving behind the moral or ethical progress stimulating emergence of new forms of spiritual impoverishment, cruelty, violence and hostility. The best humanistic principles, which are based on mutual aid, sympathy are depreciating, blurring the very concept of the moral. The situation gives evidence of the process of dehumanisation of the society, when the person’s value becomes lower than other values. The relevance of examination of tolerance in the aspect of humanisation is determined by the society’s demand for development of relations of a new type, which would be grounded on humanistic base, where every person is regarded as the highest value, where there is a priority of general human values against ethnic values, where the basic principle of people’s relations are: benevolence, humanity, mercy and respect.

The importance of the ethical principles of individualism and tolerance in the political ethics of liberalism has been studied from the moment of the emergence of liberal ideology to the present day. Using the conceptions of Russian and foreign philosophers, the author traces the relationship of these principles with the situation of the collapse and crisis of the moral system of the post-modern society. The author claims that the liberal doctrine as a whole has a paradoxical effect on the moral consciousness of the modern person, hindering his self-identification.

Abstract:
This study aimed to establish an effective educational program based on the rights of non-Muslims in Islamic principles of the development of religious tolerance values and the intellectual resistance of extremism among high school students in Jordan. The study was conducted on a sample of 48 students in 11th grade from Al-Arqam Islamic School, during the second semester of the academic year 2017-2018. A descriptive method was used for gathering the principles of rights for non-Muslims. A semi-empirical method was also used to measure the effectiveness of the educational program on two dependent variables (religious tolerance values, resistance of intellectual extremism), measured with two tools prepared by the researchers: the measure of religious tolerance values, and the measure of resistance to intellectual extremism. The results showed a statistically significant difference between the average performance of both the experimental and control groups in the measures for religious tolerance and resistance to intellectual extremism due to the experimental method of teaching designed for this study.

Abstract:
A known Indonesian Muslim scholar Mukti Ali (1923-2004) was very much concerned with dialogue, tolerance, and harmony among the people of different traditions, cultures, and religions. In his many academic works, he stressesed the importance of promoting, strengthening, and maintaining intercultural and interreligious dialogue, tolerance, and harmony. Not only did he produce various academic works, but also made efforts in putting his intercultural and interreligious ideas into practice. Both as a scholar and expert in the comparative study of religions and as Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (1971-1978), Mukti Ali endlessly promoted intercultural and interreligiuos diologue, tolerance, and harmony. Realizing that Indonesia is a pluralistic society, Mukti Ali adopted an approach called ‘agree in disagreement’ in the effort of creating and supporting tolerance, harmony, and security among people of different religious traditions. This paper will highlight the principles and values which Mukti Ali struggled for during his long administrative and academic careers.[Mukti Ali (1923-2004) adalah salah seorang intelektual Muslim ternama di Indonesia. Abstract:
This paper examines toleration at two levels. At the first level, liberal individualism is concerned that the individual must be as free as possible to pursue their own goals and lifestyles. At the second level, liberal political theory is concerned with the value of liberal political culture and institutions and how to maintain and protect them. I argue that we can learn a great deal about the exercise of toleration and respect at the level of the liberal polity by examining them at the level of the liberal individual. Both tolerance and intolerance at the level of the polity must be principled. Principled tolerance and intolerance have the following features. First, the judgment whether to tolerate a particular belief or practice must be based on the value of toleration itself, not pragmatic political requirements. Second, it should be an issue of setting aside moral principles and convictions rather than dislikes, prejudices or fears. Third, it should respect the distinction between the public and the private, and should only recognise an issue as one of toleration if there is a public impact at stake.

Abstract:
The issues related to the design of stabilization systems for aviation and rocket and space technology from the point of view of ensuring the main target function are considered: the system in operation must satisfy all the specified quality indicators, provided that it provides fault tolerance for a specified period of time. The general principles of designing fault-tolerant systems are analyzed in relation to the areas of Continuum, Fault Tolerant, Control by Diagnosis, which include modularity, independence of failures, redundancy, and quick failure detection. At the same time, the basic principles of improving fault tolerance are summarized and tabulated for clarity, among which are highlighted such as optimization, analytical redundancy, functional redundancy, reconfiguration, as well as the principles of quick failure detection based on self-monitoring and redundancy results. For systems with active fault-tolerance, examples are given of constructing diagnostic systems and making decisions about the serviceability of angular velocity sensors (AVS) used in aircraft stabilization channels. Specific schemes are presented and analyzed from the point of view of obtaining diagnosis results: schemes for constructing diagnostic systems based on two AVS by comparing their output signals, a hardware implementation diagram of a gyroscopic type AVS diagnostic unit with a potentiometric output transducer and a system for automatically switching a failed AVS to a similar backup one, and the scheme and principle of diagnostics with one working AVS in the autopilot scheme and one working outside the autopilot scheme. In order to reduce the overall mass characteristics during the design of aircraft stabilization systems with PD controllers, a reconfiguration scheme of the original system is proposed for failures of both the angle sensor (AS) and the angular velocity sensor. In addition, a directly algorithmic method was proposed for identifying faulty of AS and AVS in static-type autopilots, for which purpose components of the failure vector were introduced into the equations describing the dynamics of the aircraft stabilization system in the state space, by the state of which it is easy to determine the failed sensor.
