The results of clinico-statistical analysis of the tongue diseases and injuries are presented. It is found that their incidence comprises 1,890,18 cases for 10 000 of adult urban population. The duration of the hospital treatment is 12,60,4 days. The clinical classifications of nonpeculiar pyo-inflammatory diseases and benign tumors of the tongue are recommended. As many as 73% of the patients with tongue diseases and injuries withstood the operative treatment.

Tongue diagnosis is one of the most important diagnostic tools in traditional Chinese medicine and has been verified for thousands of years. However, its subjectivity and repeatability has been disputed continuously. The tongue coating as the primary coverage of tongue diagnosis provides more objectivity and reproducibility due to its relatively clear molecular basis; it also has a close relationship with many system diseases and may be used as a potentially valuable disease diagnostic tool. The tongue reflects the abnormal condition and behavior of the internal organs of the body, such as problems of the heart, liver, pancreas, stomach, intestines, blood diseases and others, which lead to changes in some of the features and characteristics of the tongue. The most important of these is tongue color, which can be adopted as a biometric that can be used in Computerized Tongue Diagnostic Systems (CTDS). Mental stress ischemia (MSI) is associated with poor prognosis for coronary artery disease (CAD) and is amenable to treatment, yet no easily administered test exists to diagnose it. Seventy-seven patients with chronic stable CAD were subjected to mental stress with concomitant assessment of myocardial perfusion and pulse wave amplitude. Nuclear perfusion imaging was used to

A common approach is to observe the sensitivity of muscle resistance in response to stretch velocity or displacement [Kamper, Rea, He].
