Abstract:
A tool magazine is one of the key functional components of machining centers with frequent faults. The reliability level of a tool magazine directly affects the reliability level of the machining center. After establishing a reliability test bench and a prognostic and health management system for a tool magazine, a novel fault-forecasting method for machining center tool magazines based on health assessment is proposed. First, the health status of each tool magazine subcomponent is determined using the grey clustering method. Second, the weight of each tool magazine subcomponent is determined using an entropy weight method. Third, the health status of the tool magazine is evaluated via fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. If the tool magazine exhibits an unhealthy status, then the subcomponent with the worst health status is selected for fault forecasting. In addition, standardized treatment, stationarity test, and differential processing are conducted separately on the raw performance indicator data of the worst subcomponent. Finally, the performance indicators of the worst subcomponent are forecasted with the constructed autoregressive moving average model. Using tool-falling failure as an example, the forecasted and experimental tool-pulling forces are compared and analyzed, and the prediction accuracy of the proposed method is verified.

Abstract:
In the machine manufacturing industry, CNC machine tools possess many advantages and have gradually become the leading machine tools to replace the ordinary machine tools. According to their processing usages, they can be divided into two kinds: general CNC and NTC. With the automatic tool change device consisting of tool magazine and mechanical arm, the latter can complete the most, if not all, processings of workpieces in a clamping. According to the instruction to select tools from the digital control system, the tools in the tool magazine can be located to the position for tool change, which is called automatic tool selection. Automatical tool selection can be implemented at random and sequentially. This paper focuses on random tool selection in ATC tool magazine controlled by Mitsubishi FX2N PLC series.

Abstract:
As the tool magazine and automatic tool changer (ATC) are the important function units to reserve and change tools for the machining center, the tool-changing rate affects their reliability life which directly influences the performance level of the machining center. However, the reliability of the tool magazine and ATC has not yet got a reasonable evaluation index. Directing at the features of the tool magazine and ATC system, the mean tool change numbers between failures evaluation index is proposed, which is used to calculate the mean time to repair and estimate the collected failure data of the chain-type tool magazine and ATC. It can be seen that the tool magazine with continuous tool-changing adopts the mean tool change numbers between failures as the reliability evaluation index.

Abstract:
Unlike other magazines, few people subscribe to wedding magazines and, as most are annual publications, their presence on the publishing landscape is relatively intermittent and unobtrusive. Nevertheless, these publications provide a rich context for examining intersections between advertisements and editorials. In this paper, I draw on ethnographic and textual analysis of wedding magazines produced in Australia. I argue that the distinction between advertisement and editorial is not a useful analytical tool in this context. This is because the vast majority of advertisements and editorial pages in a wedding magazine appear almost identical: page after page of glossy photographs of wedding dresses. Rather, what is striking is the manner in which the magazine editors and advertising clients, in their discussions as each magazine issue is produced, negotiate the fine distinctions they perceive between advertising and editorial content. At stake in these negotiations is not just the economic success of both editor and client, but also their reputations as expert manipulators of symbolic representations.

Abstract:
In the field of manufacturing processes it is observed that the trend is to produce more and more fast, efficiently parts with high complexity, which involves using a high number of tools in the machining process. One of the main solutions for high speed and efficient manufacturing is based on the full automation of the entire manufacturing process. The automatic changing of the tools involved in the manufacturing process is carried out by the automatic tool changing mechanism, thus the auxiliary non-productive time consumed with the tool change is highly minimized. In this paper we present a novel automatic tool changer which is both simple and compact, and any milling machining center provided with chain or disc tool magazine can be equipped with. Also by adopting the use of this tool changing mechanism other subassemblies of the tool changing system, such as the tool transfer mechanism and the waiting position, are substituted by this changing mechanism. The auxiliary movements needed to bring the tool from the magazine into the waiting position are overlapped with the machining time, so that the total time for exchanging the tool in the spindle with the tool from the magazine is minimized.

Abstract:
This article deals with practical and economic aspects of expatriate little magazine production and should be seen as furthering the understanding of the economic and promotional underpinnings of modernist cultural expression in the 1920s and 30s. In particular, the article indicates to what extent literary ambitions and idealistic actions associated with the editing of a little magazine on the European continent intermingled with material and promotional concerns. Moreover, by focusing on expatriate little magazines, the article emphasizes the significance of geographical location for both practical and marketing purposes. Marketing ambitions blended with tactics for gaining legitimacy, and promotional language provided a valuable tool for advancing sales as well as cultural credibility. One important way of catering to economic interests while upholding literary ambitions was to incorporate the magazines into the flow of news, suggesting an affinity with publication types dedicated to hot topics, large readerships, and the journalistic virtue of presence on the scene. Designating the little magazine and its literary content as news therefore complicates and troubles the boundary between elitist and popular culture.

Abstract:
This research emerged from the author’s interest in cultural magazines’ involvement regarding a political situation in Indonesia. The main problem discussed “how was the Sastra magazine’s resistance against cultural politics of the Leaded Democracy periodin 1961-1964?” The main problem elaborated into four research questions, namely: (1) how was the background of Sastra magazine’s publication?; (2) how was the culture concept from Sastra magazine’s perspective?; (3) how was the Sastra magazine’s efforts to defended its perspective in addressing anti-mainstream cultural concepts?;and (4) how was the impact received by the Sastra magazine due to maintaining the anti-mainstream cultural concept?. The method used in this study is the historical method which is divided into four stages, such as heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Based on the study, it can be explained that Sastra published in 1961 was a continuation of Kisah, the publication of this magazine has acted as aneffort to provide good reading for the community. In its development, Sastra has its own view of the cultural concept of the Leaded Democracy era, that Indonesian culture is an honest culture that was born from the conscience of the people based on humanity, not based on the slogans of party interests. That was considered not following the spirit of revolution that had not been completed at the time, which led to attacks from various parties, especially from the Lekra. Sastra maintained its stance, one of which was through its involvement in the Manifes Kebudayaan, which was a statement of a group of artists regarding Indonesia’s national culture. But not even a year, theManifes Kebudayaan declared forbidden by President Sukarno because he considered competing with the Indonesian Political Manifesto. The prohibition statement became a trigger for Sastra to disappear from circulation because it was labelled as a tool for the reactionaries.

Abstract:
Engineering machining processes realized in flexible machining systems is a highly complex task, especially since it encompasses complex optimization procedures apart from engineering. For a broad array of different workpieces produced in different series it is very difficult to engineer a manufacturing process for attaining maximum processing productivity with minimal production costs. This paper presents a developed postprocessor model enabling automatic generating of the numerical control code for all programs executed simultaneously in the production process on a greater number of machining centers. The model engrosses the different variants of tools in a machining center magazine, a different combination of elements of the machining mode, possibility of the most favorable layout of workpieces on pallets, compliance with the technological requirements in terms of simultaneous tool changes in machining center magazines, the required total processing time and minimal production costs. To that aim has been developed the postprocessor generator, as a program and software system, enabling all programs to be automatically updated based on the set up optimization strategy from tool changes, changes in cutting mode elements and technological operations. Such updated programs contain optimal technological parameters and provide minimal costs of production while at the same time the maximum utilization of tools during manufacture at an exactly specified time.

Suame Magazine has good layout but customers attested that the industrial enclave is always congested. Majority of customers’ relatively perceived charges or price of mechanical services to be relatively as expected and majority (58.0%) of the customers were willing to pay for mechanical services at the Suame Magazine. The customers’ willingness to pay for mechanical services depends on the servicesscape in the Suame Magazine. Mechanical garages with good ambient and spatial layout would have high patronage. The study recommends that mechanics in the Suame Magazine should strategically use servicescape as marketing tool for effective pricing which can influence customer willingness to pay for their services. The mechanical garages should have servicescape policy with specific emphasis on spatial layout and ambient conditions.

Abstract:
With a view of increasing the productivity on CNC machine tools one of the main solution is to reduce, as much as possible, the auxiliary time consumed with the set-up and replacement of the tools and work pieces engaged in the machining process. Reducing the total time of the tool changing process by the automatic tool changer system can be also achieved through minimizing the number of movements needed for the actual exchange of the tool, from the tool magazine to the machine spindle (the optimization of the tool changing sequences). This paper presents a new design method based on the tree-graph theory. We consider an existing automatic tool changing system, mounted on the milling and boring machining centre, and by applying the new method we obtain all the possible configurations to minimize the tool changing sequence of the automatic tool changer system. By making use of the method proposed we obtain the tool changing sequences with minimum necessary movements needed to exchange the tool. Reconfiguring an existing machine tool provided with an automatic tool changer system by making use of the proposed method leads to obtaining the smallest changing time and thus high productivity.

Abstract:
The authors consider modern glossy magazines as a tool for constructing and transforming gender attitudes in the context of psychological and pedagogical strategies for constructing gender in the conditions of an electronic-digital society and the specifics of communication in a pandemic situation of self-isolation, when information from the Internet has a dominant influence on modern people. A special aspect belongs to the analysis of the “Overton window” mechanism in preserving and / or transforming established gender roles in the modern electronic information society. Magazine discourse at the beginning of the 21st century acts as a powerful tool for influencing the recipient in a situation where digital communication and electronic advertising discourse prevail. The authors analyze the phenomenon of creating motivation for predictable gender behaviour, which is influenced by electronic glossy magazine discourse, considered from the perspective of psycholinguistics. The authors define this type of discourse as a special type of discursive process that acts as an explicit tool of globalization. The authors use the author’s synergetic approach based on the methods of linguistics, pedagogy, psychology and economic management as a methodology. The authors emphasize the novelty of this discourse in the context of its influence on the formation and transformation of the modern language personality in the context of gender stereotypes. The relevance of the research is emphasized by the fact that glossy mass-media discourse is the latest in terms of the chronology of the historical process. It actualizes the poly-ethno-socio-cultural and educational space of the beginning of the XXI century, demonstrates the processes of transformation of gender attitudes in the context of unification and globalization in the value orientations of the “philosophy of glamour”.

Abstract:
This paper illustrates the potential for the improved economic provision of tooling in flexible machining cells, through the use of a multi-stage algorithm for the allocation of jobs to machines and the efficient exchange of the associated tool kits. The tool-oriented manufacturing algorithm uses a combination of clustering techniques to identify groups of jobs which have some similarity of operational and hence tooling requirements. These clustered groups are allocated to a particular machining cell configuration with respect to the additional constraints of balancing the overall work load per machine and managing tool kit exchange under limited tool magazine capacity. The performance of tool-oriented strategies has been investigated using a computational study and indicates a consistent advantage compared to alternative work-oriented strategies. This is measured in terms of the quantity and frequency of tool exchange activities required over a given manufacturing period and the degree of necessary disturbance to the sequence of job throughput.

Abstract:
Purpose – Acknowledging the important role of the media in shaping a European public sphere, the purpose of this paper is to explore how the recent economic crisis is discursively construed in the context of the British media discourse. It investigates discursive constructions of the economic crisis in two political magazines of different ideological positioning by placing emphasis on the economic crisis in Greece, the “weak link” of the Eurozone. Design/methodology/approach – The study draws on systemic functional linguistics which views language as social semiotic and conducts a transitivity analysis of a corpus consisting of 59 articles (a total of 61,820 words) from two weekly British political magazines, one of conservative and one of centre-left political position. The analysis is assisted by Wordsmith 6.0 concordance corpus tool. Findings – It is argued that the articles of the conservative magazine construe the crisis as primarily local and financial, discussing its effects on the British economy. On the other hand, the articles of the centre-left magazine view the crisis as a systemic one derived from and, at the same time, affecting European Union policies and stress its political and economic implications in all of Eurozone. Originality/value – The findings of the study contribute to the body of studies which investigate the role of language in the construction of the economic crisis and also adds to the on-going discussion regarding the development of a European public sphere as part of the wider European Project and the process of European integration.

Abstract:
Purpose This paper aims to reveal the marshalling of an emotion – loneliness – over time for the construction of relationships between advertisers and consumers between 1909 and 1934, paying attention to the shifting contexts in which these relationships were built, maintained and extended. It also draws attention to the ways in which advertising and marketing work in society, and advances the understanding of the development of consumer culture in Australia. Design/methodology/approach The paper uses textual analysis of letters from readers and editorial content published in the magazine over a 25-year period, supplemented by material from newspapers and memoirs. Findings The paper reveals how a women’s magazine marshalled the loneliness of Australian women, especially rural Australian women, to attach them to the magazine and its advertisers. Over 25 years, the magazine editors built a reservoir of trust between readers and the magazine. When the economy turned, this reservoir could be drawn upon to maintain reader attachment and maximise sales. Research limitations/implications This paper examines the use of emotion in just one magazine. A comparative study would be beneficial to see whether this exploitation of emotion was widespread. Practical implications The paper suggests the importance of emotion as a tool for attaching consumers to brands and for maintaining that attachment through financial difficulties. Originality/value This paper supports the turn to the study of emotion in history and, specifically, in the development of consumer culture.

Abstract:
Purpose: Recently, antioxidants have taken centre stage in media and advertising messages. While 80% of Canadians think they are well-informed about nutrition, many are confused about the health effects of specific nutrients. Forty-six percent of Canadians seek information from newspapers and books, and 67% of women rely on magazines. We examined the content and accuracy of antioxidant health messages in Canadian women's magazines. Methods: The top three Canadian magazines targeted at women readers were selected. A screening tool was developed, pilot tested, and used to identify eligible articles. A coding scheme was created to define variables, which were coded and analyzed. Results: Seventy-seven percent of 36 magazine issues contained articles that mentioned antioxidants (n=56). Seventyone percent (n=40) of articles reported positive health effects related to antioxidant consumption, and 36% and 40% of those articles framed those effects as definite and potential, respectively (p<0.01). Conclusions: The articles sampled conveyed messages about positive antioxidant health effects that are not supported by current evidence. Improved standards of health reporting are needed. Nutrition professionals may need to address this inaccuracy when they develop communications on antioxidants and health risk.

Abstract:
Started on February 19, 1932, People’s Houses have an important place in the cultural leap, secularisation and modernization policies of the early Turkish Republic. Grounded on the reasons for being a tool for propaganda of the Republican People's Party (CHP) People Houses were abolished by the Democrat Party in 1951. One of these cultural institutions whose number were reached to 478 until the year 1951 in which they had closed, is Adapazarı People’s House which is opened in February 23, 1934.The Sakarya magazine is the Adapazarı People’s House magazine. Between March 1, 1943 and August 1943, 6 issues were published. The publications of the magazines are published in the regulations of the people's houses. Despite this, Adapazarı, the district, published Sakarya Magazine. The publication policy of Sakarya Magazine is to spread the principles of the CHP. Adapazari has named Sakarya as the magazine which also wants to be a province. The People’s Houses, which are came to be known as the institutions of culture and which is also a means of giving people the idea of being a nation and a citizen, began to publish journals in order to reveal their politics to the public. During the period of Atatürk , the journal of People’s House of Adapazarı which is called Sakarya, has been going on to be an important source for the history of Adapazarı. So, in the study, the first publishing of Sakarya, some problems during the publishing period, the subjects in the journal and closing of the journal have studied.

Abstract:
Mass media can play an important role in setting public agenda and stimulating public attention to issues. Purpose: To assess health-related articles in select mass-circulating general readership magazines, and identify which of the Leading Health Indicators (LHI) each of them addresses. Methods: Four of the top 35 general readership magazines listed in the 2007 Magazine Publishers of America were considered, and included Reader’s Digest, Time, Newsweek, and U.S. News and World Report. ProQuest was searched to obtain all health-related articles (n=55) available in these magazines between July 2005 and August 2008. Articles were assessed in regards to LHIs, sources of information, presentation of statistics and risk factors, and citation of prevention measures. Results: The most frequent LHIs addressed were overweight and obesity (21.4%) and mental health (19%). The most frequent source of information was experts such as MDs and PhDs (92.9%). Incidence and prevalence of LHIs were frequently presented, while risk factors were presented in less than 25% of the articles. Conclusion: Mass media can be a valuable tool for dissemination and stimulation of public attention to high priority public health issues. Enhanced coordination is needed between health educators and members of the press to ensure accurate and universally relevant health information in general readership magazines.

Abstract:
The Burlington Magazine, with its juxtaposition of art trade and academia, historicism and aestheticism, has occupied a unique role in the international art historical panorama since it was first published in 1903. From its very beginnings the magazine had produced a detailed printed index, which reflected the diversity of its contents. In 2005 the magazine received a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon foundation to produce a cumulative online index from 1903 to the present. The Burlington Index is now online, nearly complete and free for all to use. Why did the Burlington need an index when it was already included in JSTOR? How is the Burlington Index structured and what is it based on? What are its aims and limitations? The Burlington Index wants to be a vessel to navigate the ocean of free-text available on JSTOR; a tool for research to open up the contents of the Burlington to a new generation of readers and, ultimately, a magnifying glass to reveal the magazine as a primary source for research on the history of art history, the art market and the art press.

Abstract:
Language is a tool to express an opinion or statement that will be conveyed to others. There are two types in language media, namely oral language and written language. One work that uses written language as a communication medium is a magazine. To write a magazine, you must use a language structure that is good and right or in accordance with the rules of language. But often times in a magazine there are still many mistakes, for example, in the 2018 edition of Pandawa magazine, there are errors in language spelling and at the syntactic level. Types of language errors at the spelling level include errors in letter usage, word writing, use of punctuation, and combination spelling. Types of language errors at the syntactic level include, discourse, sentences, clauses, and phrases. This study aims to describe language errors, especially at the spelling level and at the syntactic level. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative research, which describes the object of language errors in the 2018 edition of the Pandawa IAIN magazine. The techniques of data collection and data analysis are (1) collecting language errors, (2) identifying errors based on linguistic level (syntax, phonology, morphology, and spelling), (3) ranking errors, i.e. sorting errors based on the number of errors, (4) explaining conditions, explaining what is wrong, the cause of errors, and how to correct errors, (5) predicting linguistic level that is prone to errors, (6) correcting errors, namely correcting errors, finding the right way to reduce or eliminate these errors. The results of this study, namely errors in the spelling level in the Pandawa IAIN Surakarta magazine, there are capital letters writing errors, italics, punctuation marks, and hyphens; errors at the syntactic level in the Pandawa IAIN Surakarta magazine, there are mistakes in phrases, and sentences.
