Purpose The purpose of this paper is to propose a new tool for stock investment risk management through studying stocks with what kind of characteristics can be predicted by individual investor behavior. Design/methodology/approach Based on comment data of individual stock from the Snowball, a thermal optimal path method is employed to analyze the lead–lag relationship between investor attention (IA) and the stock price. And machine learning algorithms, including SVM and BP neural network, are used to predict the prices of certain kind of stock. Findings It turns out that the lead–lag relation

So, the stock data of the CSI 300 were chosen and divided into two time series, prepared for analysis via network theory. Many recommendation systems in software engineering utilize the Stack Overflow knowledge-base as the basis of forming their recommendations. A previously developed methodology for assessing the worn tool material volume is utilized for quantifying the VTW of carbide tools when machining Ti-6Al-4V. To capture the tool substrate response, controlled milling experiments are conducted at suitable corner points of the feed-speed design space for constant stock material removal volumes. For each case, the tool material volumes worn away, as well as the corresponding v

Abstract:
In an era of machine learning, many fields outside of computer science have implemented machine learning as a tool [5]. In the financial world, a variety of machine learning models are used to predict the future prices of a stock in order to optimize profit. This paper preposes a stock prediction algorithm that focuses on the correlation between the price of a stock and its public sentiments shown on social media [6].We trained different machine learning algorithms to find the best model at predicting stock prices given its sentiment. And for the public to access this model, a web-based server

Abstract:
In this study we develop an evidence-based tool to help to guide policy and investment choices, to maximize developmental returns from tourism. Specifically, we develop a tourism-extended social accounting matrix and computable general equilibrium and microsimulation models customized for tourism investment analysis. To demonstrate the approach, we develop these data structures for Belize, at both national and regional levels. The framework developed herein can be used to quantify the direct and indirect, and short- and long-run impacts of tourism investments. Anticipating application of the a

The institutions and units at the Center of Government (CoG) provide managerial direction and coherence to the complex machinery of government to accelerate the delivery of its priority objectives. In recent years, economic, social, political, and technological transformations have reshaped the functions of the CoG, as well as the tools available to CoG practitioners. Abstract:
Mepsy is CLASP’s appliance and equipment climate impact calculator. It’s designed for policymakers, researchers, and other industry stakeholders to model different policy scenarios and measure their impact. Mepsy uses a “bottom-up” accounting approach, considering the number of appliances in use in a country, the energy performance of representative products, the climate-intensity of the local power grid, and other variables to analyze the electricity use, carbon dioxide emissions, and consumer energy costs associated with a given policy scenario. Wherever possible, the calculator references p

Although governments, civil society organizations, and academia are crucial actors in the effort to fight corruption and promote integrity, private firms and industry organizations also play critical roles. This publication features seven case studies that highlight results and lessons learned in private sector integrity projects, all but one of which were supported by the Inter-American Development Bank and IDB Invest. These studies include initiatives by Peru's largest industry confederation and Panama's banking association to encourage member companies to upgrade their internal ethics and c
