Abstract:
The aim of this study is to provide a comprehensive decision-making method that can be applied to investment decisions based on the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) performance. The study contributes to the existing literature by introducing the CPT-TOPSIS model, a pioneering approach that incorporates the effect of non-rational factors on decision-making results in uncertain conditions by combining cumulative prospect theory (CPT) with the classic TOPSIS model. Moreover, by conducting an application to ESG evaluation on five state-owned mining enterprises in China, the study provides evidence of the effectiveness and improvement offered by the new model in comparison with the classic TOPSISI model and prospect theory TOPSIS (PT-TOPSIS) model. The results suggest that the CPT-TOPSIS model considers risk preferences and probability distortion in the decision-making process, narrows the gap between ESG scores, and makes ESG performance evaluation more realistic.

Abstract:
While TOPSIS is a widely used evaluation method, it lacks evaluation from the perspective of indicator coordination. Based on the analysis of TOPSIS evaluation methods, this paper proposes a new assessment method, coordinated TOPSIS, which takes into account the advantages of TOPSIS evaluation methods and the coordination level of evaluation indicators. Taking the robotics academic journals as an example, the TOPSIS evaluation and the coordinated TOPSIS evaluation results are compared. The research shows that the weights of the coordinated TOPSIS method can be manually adjusted according to the purpose of evaluation and have a good flexibility; the TOPSIS evaluation results and coordinated TOPSIS evaluation results have a high degree of correlation, but the difference from the perspective of the ranking is big; the coordinated TOPSIS is very suitable for evaluation field that needs to consider the coordinated development, and it can be replicated.

Abstract:
Coordinated Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) is a significant improvement of TOPSIS, which take into account the coordination level of attributes in the decision-making or assessment. However, in this study, it is found that the existing coordinated TOPSIS has some limitations and problems, which are listed as follows. (1) It is based on modified TOPSIS, not the original TOPSIS. (2) It is inapplicable when using vector normalization. (3) The calculation formulas of the coordination degree are incorrect. (4) The coordination level of attributes is interrelated with the weights. In this paper, the problems of the existing coordinated TOPSIS are explained and revised, and a novel coordinated TOPSIS based on coefficient of variation is proposed to avoid the limitations. Comparisons of the existing, revised, and proposed coordinated TOPSIS are carried out based on two case studies. The comparison results validate the feasibility of the proposed coordinated TOPSIS.

Abstract:
This paper proposes the integration of AHP and TOPSIS to generate the ranking results of culinary recommendation for a group of users to provide better recommendation results. Formerly, Group Decision Support System (GDSS) for culinary recommendations has been developed with the TOPSIS method. TOPSIS has low algorithm complexity, so it is suitable to be applied in mobile devices. However, GDSS with TOPSIS has its disadvantages, TOPSIS have not been able to facilitate the preferences of each user inside a group so the recommendation result always consist only on dominant user. TOPSIS method produces unchanging rankings, because this method recommends a food menu based on the 1 dominant user so that the ranking is always consistent. Meanwhile, this study aims to integrate AHP for weighting criteria from each user and TOPSIS for ranking culinary recommendations. Based on rank consistency testing results that conducted in 6 different user groups, unlike the previous research, AHP-TOPSIS shows inconsistency ranking, which means that changes in user preferences affect the recommendation results that are generated by application. The AHP-TOPSIS method proved can be accommodated the computation of various preferences of each user in GDSS culinary recommendation

Abstract:
Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) is an algorithm that can be used for alternative design in a decision support system (DSS). TOPSIS provides recommendation so that users can get information that support their decision, for example a tourist wants to visit a tourist destination in Malang, then TOPSIS provides recommendations of tourist destinations in the form of ranking recommendation, with the highest rank is the most recommended recommendation. TOPSIS-based Mobile Decision Support System (DSS) has relatively low algorithm complexity. However, there are some cases that require development from personal DSS to group DSS, for example tourists rarely come alone, in which case most of them invite friends or family. For users who are more than 1 person, the TOPSIS algorithm can be combined with the BORDA algorithm. This study explains about the implementation & testing of TOPSIS and TOPSIS-BORDA as algorithms for personal and group DSS in mobile-based tourism recommendation system in Malang. Correlation testing was conducted to test the effectiveness of TOPSIS in mobile-based recommendation system. In previous study, correlation testing for personal DSS showed that there was a relationship between the recommendation and user choice, with correlation value of 0.770769231. In this study, correlation testing for group DSS showed there is a positive correlation of 0.88 between the recommendations of the group produced by TOPSIS-BORDA and personal recommendations for each user produced by TOPSIS.

Abstract:
With the improvement of human living standards, users’ requirements have changed from function to emotion. Helping users pick out the most suitable product based on their subjective requirements is of great importance for enterprises. This paper proposes a Kansei engineering-based grey relational analysis and techniques for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (KE-GAR-TOPSIS) method to make a subjective user personalized ranking of alternative products. The KE-GRA-TOPSIS method integrates five methods, including Kansei Engineering (KE), analytic hierarchy process (AHP), entropy, game theory, and grey relational analysis-TOPSIS (GRA-TOPSIS). First, an evaluation system is established by KE and AHP. Second, we define a matrix variate—Kansei decision matrix (KDM)—to describe the satisfaction of user requirements. Third, the AHP is used to obtain subjective weight. Next, the entropy method is employed to obtain objective weights by taking the KDM as input. Then the two types of weights are optimized using game theory to obtain the comprehensive weights. Finally, the GRA-TOPSIS method takes the comprehensive weights and the KMD as inputs to rank alternatives. A comparison of the KE-GRA-TOPSIS, KE-TOPSIS, KE-GRA, GRA-TOPSIS, and TOPSIS is conducted to illustrate the unique merits of the KE-GRA-TOPSIS method in Kansei evaluation. Finally, taking the electric drill as an example, we describe the process of the proposed method in detail, which achieves a symmetry between the objectivity of products and subjectivity of users.

Abstract:
Stochastic multi-criteria acceptability analysis (SMAA-2) and the technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) are methods for evaluating alternatives with multiple criteria. SMAA is a method that is used for solving multi-criteria decision-making problems with uncertain, inaccurate information, and does not require preference information from the decision makers. The TOPSIS method is based on the principle of determining a solution with the shortest distance to the ideal solution and the greatest distance from the negative-ideal solution. This paper proposes a new method, SMAA-TOPSIS, by combining the SMAA and TOPSIS methods. The SMAA-TOPSIS method was executed for two problems: drug benefit-risk analysis and machine gun selection. This paper found that TOPSIS could be used with uncertain and arbitrarily distributed values for weights and criteria measurements by using a combination of SMAA and TOPSIS. Also, we obtained clearer and consistent SMAA outputs.

Abstract:
This master's thesis deals with extensions of TOPSIS method, which is one of methods for multi-criteria evaluation of alternatives. These extensions use theory of fuzzy sets (FS) and their futher extensions to interval-valued (IVFS), intuitionistic (IFS) and hesitant (HFS) fuzzy sets and their combinations (IVIFS, IVIHFS). Significant part of this thesis explains the principle of fuzzy sets and their generalizations. Descriptions of operators for aggregations of grades of membership has very important role here. Next, very short description of multi-criteria evaluation problems and detailed description of TOPSIS method are contained. The second half of this thesis is dedicated to four existing extensions of TOPSIS metod that uses theories of FS, IVFS, IVIFS and IVIHFS. Every method is illustrated with an example that shows principle of calculations. It illustrates new possibilities of the methods that use new sets theories and potential complications and deviations from the original TOPSIS method. At the end of this thesis, evaluation of usefulness of used approaches is mentioned.

Abstract:
Supplier selection is nowadays one of the critical topics in supply chain management. This work presents a new decision making approach for group multi-criteria supplier selection problem, which clubs supplier selection process with order allocation for dynamic supply chains to cope market variations. More specifically, the developed approach imitates the knowledge acquisition and mani- pulation in a manner similar to the decision makers who have gathered considerable knowledge and expertise in procurement domain. Nevertheless, under many conditions, exact data are inadequate to model real-life situation and fuzzy logic can be incorporated to handle the vagueness of the decision makers. As per this concept, fuzzy-AHP method is used first for supplier selection through four classes (CLASS I: Performance strategy, CLASS II: Quality of service, CLASS III: Innovation and LASS IV: Risk), which are qualitatively meaningful. Thereafter, using simulation based fuzzy TOPSIS technique, the criteria application is quantitatively evaluated for order allocation among the selected suppliers. As a result, the approach generates decision-making knowledge, and thereafter, the developed combination of rules order allocation can easily be interpreted, adopted and at the same time if necessary, modified by decision makers. To demonstrate the applicability of the proposed approach, an illustrative example is presented and the results analyzed

Abstract:

Abstract:
Increasing global competition, rapid technological changes, advances in manufacturing and information technology and discerning customers are forcing supply chains to adopt improvement practices that enable them to deliver high quality products at a lower cost and in a shorter period of time. A lean initiative is one of the most effective approaches toward achieving this goal. In the lean improvement process, it is critical to measure current and desired performance level in order to clearly evaluate the lean implementation efforts. Many attempts have tried to measure supply chain performance incorporating both quantitative and qualitative measures but failed to provide an effective method of measuring improvements in performances for dynamic lean supply chain situations. Therefore, the necessity of appropriate measurement of lean supply chain performance has become imperative. There are many lean tools available for supply chains; however, effectiveness of a lean tool depends on the type of the product and supply chain. One tool may be highly effective for a supply chain involved in high volume products but may not be effective for low volume products. There is currently no systematic methodology available for selecting appropriate lean strategies based on the type of supply chain and market strategy This thesis develops an effective method to measure the performance of supply chain consisting of both quantitative and qualitative metrics and investigates the effects of product types and lean tool selection on the supply chain performance Supply chain performance matrices and the effects of various lean tools over performance metrics mentioned in the SCOR framework have been investigated. A lean supply chain model based on the SCOR metric framework is then developed where non- lean and lean as well as quantitative and qualitative metrics are incorporated in appropriate metrics. The values of appropriate metrics are converted into triangular fuzzy numbers using similarity rules and heuristic methods. Data have been collected from an apparel manufacturing company for multiple supply chain products and then a fuzzy based method is applied to measure the performance improvements in supply chains. Using the fuzzy TOPSIS method, which chooses an optimum alternative to maximise similarities with positive ideal solutions and to minimise similarities with negative ideal solutions, the performances of lean and non- lean supply chain situations for three different apparel products have been evaluated. To address the research questions related to effective performance evaluation method and the effects of lean tools over different types of supply chains; a conceptual framework and two hypotheses are investigated. Empirical results show that implementation of lean tools have significant effects over performance improvements in terms of time, quality and flexibility. Fuzzy TOPSIS based method developed is able to integrate multiple supply chain matrices onto a single performance measure while lean supply chain model incorporates qualitative and quantitative metrics. It can therefore effectively measure the improvements for supply chain after implementing lean tools. It is demonstrated that product types involved in the supply chain and ability to select right lean tools have significant effect on lean supply chain performance. Future study can conduct multiple case studies in different contexts.

Abstract:
The increasing world population is putting pressure on global food production. Agriculture must meet these growing demands by increasing crop yields. One phenomenon which prevents seedling emergence and damages crop yield is soil crusting. Understanding of soil crusting and the factors which influence it is fundamental to ensuring good crop production. An instrument which will test soil crust strength in a novel way, mimicking seedling growth, may lead to pre-emptive agricultural soil management which could increase crop production. This work details the process of design, construction and testing of an ascending penetrometer to measure soil crust strength. The full design process is discussed from concept generation and evaluation, using experimental methods and a multi-criteria decision making tool, through to final design configuration, specification, manufacture and testing. Traditionally, soil penetrometers measure soil strength by forcing a probe from the surface of the soil into the bulk soil below. To more accurately measure the direct impedance a seedling would experience a device should measure impedance from the bulk soil upwards and into the soil crust, mimicking what a growing seedling would experience. Results prove that the manufactured ascending penetrometer with a force resolution of 0.01N and displacement resolution of 0.0004mm is capable of detecting differences in soil crusts. At these resolutions and accuracy to 0.1N and 0.1mm excellent repeatability was achieved. The machine is therefore a useful and realistic tool for quantitatively comparing soil crusts in soil. It is hoped that being able to compare soil crust strength will lead to improved soil management techniques.

The main aim of this dissertation is to propose a model for selection the performance of technologies for electric power generation from renewable sources, with the support of multicriteria fuzzy decision-making methods. The research can be considered applied, descriptive and methodological. As for means of investigation, the methodology comprises bibliographical and documentary research; Experimental research, with the application of multicriteria fuzzy decision-making methods for hierarchization of technologies for electric power generation alternatives from renewable sources; and development of an empirical study in the State of Rio de Janeiro. The results highlight the selection of the most appropriate technologies according to their environmental, social, economic, technical and political impacts and the demonstration of the applicability of the proposed model. In the case of the State of Rio de Janeiro, the most appropriate technology, given the potential of renewable sources, was solar photovoltaic.

Abstract:
Fuzzy systems and networks are vital within the armoury of fuzzy tools and applicable to real life decision making environments. Three types of fuzzy systems introduced in literatures which are systems with single rule base, systems with multiple rule bases and system with networked rule bases. This research introduces novel extension of the Technique of Ordering of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) methods and uses fuzzy systems and networks to solve multi-criteria decision making problems where both benefit and cost are presented as subsystems. In conjunction, the implementation of fuzzy sets type-1, type-2 and Z-number of proposed approaches is also presented. Furthermore, literatures have observed that tracking the performance of criteria is crucial by controlling the estimation of uncertainty of the criteria. Thus, the decision maker evaluates the performance of each alternative and further observes the performance for both benefit and cost criteria. This research improves significantly the transparency of the TOPSIS methods while ensuring higher effectiveness in comparison to established approaches. Ensuring the practicality and the effectiveness of proposed methods in a realistic scenario, the problem of ranking traded stock is studied. This case study is conducted based on stocks traded in a developing financial market such as Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange. The ranking based on proposed methods is validated comparatively using performance indicators such as Spearman Rho correlation, Kendall Tau correlation, Root Mean Square Errror and Average Absolute Distance by assuming ranking based on return on investment as a benchmarking. Based on the case study, the proposed methods outperform the established TOPSIS methods in term of average rank position.

Abstract:
The problem of determining the investment priorities of the national economy development has been actuated. It has been argued that the formation of institutional preferences for activation of industry investment processes should be carried out taking into account the potential ability of each sectoral group enterprises to increase the added value. The scientific and methodical approach for sub-sectors investment attractiveness assessment has been formed on the example of the Ukrainian food industry. It has been recommended to use for this substantiated set of relative performance indexes which are duplicated in aggregate statistical state surveys based on the enterprise’s financial statements. It has been formed the recommendations for the investment priorities of food industry development in Ukraine which are based on the appropriate calculations made by the TOPSIS and CRITIC methods. Methods of economic-statistical and comparative analysis were used for structural and dynamic characteristics of the Ukraine industrial enterprises activities. Given that innovation processes should also cover small and medium-sized industrial enterprises, whose resource opportunities are mostly limited, it is proposed to expand them within the framework of a strategic partnership. Graphic modeling methods have been used to visualize the process of building the business structures resource potential on the basis of their strategic partnership. The influence of the motivational environment on the value of organizational relations within the partnership has been formalized.

Abstract:
Electronic educational resourc was created for independent work of 5th year students of the pediatric faculty in the study of the discipline "Hospital Surgery". The possibility of control by the teacher is provided. This EER includes an introductory module, a topic module, and a quality assessment module. The structure of each topic in the EER (there are 19 topics in total) consists of the following sections: educational and methodological tasks on the topic, abstract of the topic, control tests on the topic, clinical situational tasks on the topic and a list of references. The section "Summary of the topic" at the moment can be presented in the form of a text file, or a presentation, or a video lecture, or a monograph by the staff of the department, etc. This section is gradually updated with new materials. The section "Control tests on the topic" is designed to control the teacher for the independent work of students and contains 15 tests, the solution of which is given 10 minutes and two attempts, a passing result for crediting 71% of correct answers. The section "Clinical situational tasks" serves for self-control of the student in mastering the topic - if he understood the content of the task, made a preliminary diagnosis and knows the tactics of managing the patient, the topic is mastered. There are ten clinical situational tasks for each topic, students receive different versions of tasks. In addition, the EER has a "Final test control" section, which contains test tasks from all topics of practical classes. The program randomly generates a final test of 30 tasks, 20 minutes are allotted for solving, the student has the right to two attempts. More than 71% of correct answers are counted.
