Abstract:
Master 's thesis deals with design of a drivetrain of six cylinder inline engine with cylinder deactivation for heavy agricultural vehicles. In this thesis were devised various possibilities of crankshaft balancing, the best design solution of counterweight was based on optimization in software Catia. Further, the crankshaft was analysed for force and momentum loading and torsional vibration, based on which, the torsional vibration damper was designed. There were considered several options for cylinder deactivation, which were analysed for finest run of engine and the best thermal distribution. Based on these criteria, the best option was to deactivate 2nd and 5th cylinder. The crankshaft was analysed for the fatigue failure by finite element method. The fatigue failure is the most dangerous case for the crankshaft, the resulting safety factor for this limit state is 3,05.

The diploma thesis ‚Rubber Torsional Vibration Damper Of a Four-Cylinder Diesel Engine‘ covers all the development phases related to a design of a rubber damper for a specified engine. The individual phases of it are discussed in details throughout the thesis. At first, the construction plan of a crankshaft is given. The computational checks for torsional vibrations and forced torsional vibration are performed then. With regards to it there might be derived the basic parameters and dimensions of a rubber torsional vibration damper. The knowledge of them enables to prepare the constructional plan of a rubber torsional vibration damper. By using this damper construction plan the torsional displacements (deviations) and forced vibrations are calculated. Finally, a mechanical and thermal stress test of this damper is performed and a crankshaft production drawing is produced.

Content of this master thesis is analysis of torsional vibration of the three cylinder engine with balancing shaft. In theoretical part of the thesis the kinematic and dynamic description of the cranktrain mechanism is included. The formation of unbalancing of the engine and methods of balancing are described in the theoretical part as well. In practical part of the thesis the analytical calculation of torsional vibration is provided. Simulation of the engine model in multibody software Adams/Engine was used as the other way of torsional vibration analysis. In the result part of the thesis the comparison of the both way of analysis were discussed. Last step of the thesis was design proposal of the torsional vibration damper done by the analytical calculation.

The aim of this thesis is to find out the influence of eccentricity of crank mechanism on the duration of the force between the piston and the cylinder liner. At the same time I wanted to find out its influence on the balance of the whole system. It is important to design the balance for the selected value of the eccentricity and subsequently put through the crank shaft to stress analysis with torsional vibrations. I got so interested in this problem that in addition to the whole topic I designed a torsional vibration damper.

The main aim of this master’s thesis is to design the drivetrain of four-cylinder gasoline internal combustion engine with torsional vibration rubber dumper. For the basic parameters of the engine are designed two optional crankshafts. Crankshaft with eight counterweights and crankshaft with four counterweights. The thesis also includes modal analysis of the crankshaft using FEM, and design of the main dimensions of the dumper. The following part describes the calculation of force torsional vibration and safety factor solution of crankshaft fatigue using FEM. The final calculation is of the temperature field in the rubber dumper in selected operating modes.

This thesis "Silicone damper of a six-cylinder in-line diesel engine " is focused on the proposal of alternative using of silicone damper for the a six-cylinder in-line diesel engine, which is made for tractors and other industrial aplications. The aim of this thesis is to count the oscilation of crankshaft by the help of appropriate dynamic model, then to propose such a basic parameters of silicone damper, which absorbes torsion blip crankshaft to acceptable value. The next part of my thesis is proposal of the constructive implementation of fixation the silicone damper on the free part of crankshaft. The last part of my thesis is comparing and evaluating the oscilation of crankshaft without a dumper and with a new propsal of the silicone damper.

Tato diplomová práce uvádí dynamiku klikového mechanismu šestiválcového řadového motoru za účelem návrhu klikového hřídele v CAD programu Pro/Engineer. Následuje popis vibrací klikového mechanismu a analytický výpočet jeho torzních vibrací. Hlavní část diplomové práce se pak zabývá konverzí hřídele do konečno-prvkového modelu v programu ANSYS a jeho importem do prostředí Adams/Engine. V tom je provedena modální analýza klikového ústrojí pro získání vlastních frekvencí a tvarů. Na konec práce je porovnán výstup z analytického řešení a výsledky z multi-body systému.

碩士<br>國立高雄海洋科技大學<br>輪機工程研究所<br>98<br>This paper presents a tapered shaft element such that the torsional vibration characteristics of a damped shafting system can be easily determined with effect of continuous non-uniformity of the shaft cross-sections being considered. To this end, the shape functions of the tapered shaft element are firstly derived. Then, the stiffness and mass matrices of the last shaft element are determined by means of the Lagrange’s equations. To confirm the reliability of the presented theory, the numerical results obtained from the presented technique are compared with those obtained from a limiting case and good agreement is achieved. Finally, the torsional vibration analysis of a hybrid (tapered) shaft, composed of multiple uniform and tapered shaft segments and carrying multiple disks, is performed to show the applicability of the presented technique. Influence of some relevant parameters, such as damping coefficient, slope of tapered shaft and total number of disks attached to the shaft, on the first five eigenvalues of a torsional shafting system is also investigated. Because the torsional vibration characteristics of a shafting system are important information for the engineers, the presented technique will be significant in practical applications.

The optimal parameters of TMD are determined by minimizing mean-square displacement response ratio contributed by the first three modes of controlled degree-of-freedom between the structures with and without TMD. A planar base-isolated structure under four selected ground motions is firstly simulated. The effectiveness of the TMD under different eccentricities of the primary structure is then discussed. A reduction of approximate 30% in base displacement and structure absolute acceleration of root mean square (RMS) under soft soil ground motion record. However, a reduction of approximate 15% in base displacement and structure absolute acceleration of root mean square (RMS) under firm soil ground motion records. The TMD is effective when the base isolated structure and the soft soil ground motion. However, the effectiveness is not obvious under firm soil ground motion, because of the well performance of the base isolation system.

碩士<br>國立高雄海洋科技大學<br>輪機工程研究所<br>99<br>This paper presents the scaling laws that provide the geometry and dynamic similitude conditions between the damped rotor-shaft system and its scale model, so that the torsional vibration characteristics of the full-size rotor-shaft system can be predicted from those of its scale model. The last scaling laws are determined from the equations of motion of the full-size rotor-shaft system and its scale model. Then, the scaling factors, that establish the relationship between the last two systems, involved in the preceding scaling laws (i.e., explicit scaling factors) are determined according to the fundamental physical properties of each scalable parameter of the system, while those not involved in the scaling laws (i.e., the implicit scaling factors) are determined based on the theory of dimensional analysis. Both the free and forced torsional vibration characteristics of the full-size rotor-shaft system and those of its scale model are used to validate the presented scaling laws and scaling factors.
