Ecotourism is a subfield and dimension of tourism that was highlighted in the mid of nineties. The current chapter presents a comprehensive model that provides a road map to the local community, tourism experts, destination managers, and tourism companies to achieve continuous growth at their locations. The theoretical model covers the elements of customer satisfaction, and quality of delivered services, and guides how to sustain continuity in revisits. The conceptual framework is segregated into two main streams that originated from ecotourism. This first stream holds the five components that are of primary importance including awareness of visitors, perceived service performance, growth of the tourism industry, tourism infrastructure, and behavioral attention. The next stream contains another five components including environmental concerns, continuity of tourism intention, impact on the lives of the local people, tourism satisfaction, and WOM. Both streams are mandatory elements for the continuity, revisits, retention, and sustainability of particular ecotourist destinations.

Blockchain technology is gaining increasing attention across various industries, including healthcare, supply chain, education, business, logistics, disaster management, agriculture, tourism, and energy. As such, it is also becoming of interest to the spatial data infrastructure (SDI). This chapter explored the potential of blockchain technology for SDI and examined its potential role in addressing four key areas of concern regarding SDI: governance structure, facilitating access, capacity building, and data interoperability. Furthermore, the chapter also delved into the challenges that may arise with integrating blockchain technology into SDI. These challenges include scalability, technical complexity, regulatory as well as legal constraints, and cost as well as resource constraints. As global biodiversity declines and tourism-related pressures on ecosystems increase, the airline industry has a unique opportunity to support regenerative conservation through biodiversity tourism. This study explores the role of airlines in promoting biodiversity-focused tourism as a means of fostering conservation management that not only minimizes environmental harm but actively regenerates ecosystems. The findings reveal that while biodiversity tourism offers substantial potential for conservation, it must be carefully managed to avoid unintended environmental impacts. Airlines can contribute to regenerative conservation management by adopting sustainable travel practices, investing in carbon offset programs, and partnering with conservation organizations to support eco-friendly tourism infrastructure. This study investigates the potential of ecotourism in fostering sustainable development in Chania, Crete, focusing on environmental conservation, cultural preservation, and economic growth. A mixed-methods approach combines secondary research to establish a global and local theoretical framework with qualitative interviews with key stakeholders in Chania. The study assesses the current state of ecotourism, its impact on natural and cultural heritage, and barriers to sustainable tourism. Findings highlight ecotourism's role in raising environmental awareness and supporting local economies. However, challenges such as infrastructure, stakeholder cooperation, and ecological management persist. The study concludes that strategic planning and stakeholder collaboration are essential for ecotourism's success, balancing growth with resource preservation. Theoretical implications suggest ecotourism as a sustainable tourism model, while practical recommendations call for targeted policies, employee training, and marketing strategies to position Chania as a top ecotourism destination.
