Full textAlong with the geometrization of urban space producing a geometric center, a hierarchical vision of space occupation has been developed. The top of this hierarchy has coincided for a long time with this geometrical centrality which becomes the essential element of city's identification, known by the term of downtown or city center. It is essential to note that downtowns have significantly evolved. Like other cities all over the world, the city of Bejaia doesn't escape this phenomenal disruption of these traditional centers, followed by emergence of new centralities. In the framework of a multidisciplinary approach, our study aims to discover different levels of breaks and degree of both conformance and difference between planning policy and socio-economic potentials of Bejaia, concerning its central spaces. Essentially, it searches to identify its touristic predispositions and develop their consistence and coherence in the light of opening up to the Mediterranean area

Full textThis thesis presents a sociology of the construction of a Utopia in a berbérophone province of Algeria, Bejai'a. The case study in question concerns the revalorisation of a local and national patrimony, undertaken by a group of mathematicians (GEHIMAB, Groupe d'Études sur l'Histoire des Mathématiques à Bejaia au Moyen Age). The analysis attempts to account for the consecration of the group that originated this enterprise, via an understanding of the trajectories of the actors. It locates the project in the objects upon which it works, the personalities in which it is invested, and the strategies which it follows. The approach adopted is sociological, but several disciplines contribute to the argument. The first part of the thesis presents the theoretical approach and sociological method employed. The second presents a sociology of the actors in question. The third part deals with the discovery of a manuscript library and the uses to which it, and its contents, are put, demonstrating both the status of written knowledge and lettered learning, and the symbiosis that existed between the written and the oral. The fourth part of the thesis pertains to the multiple dimensions of the city

Full textIf there is an economic field whose place is not very obvious in algeria, it certainly is tourism. In fact, the part played by the latter in the developing of the country has been as a whole, insignifiant compared with the one played in a number of neighbouring mediterranea countries. The purpose of this thesis is to make evident the trumps of this country and to show the reasons of the putting aside of this field of acitivities.
