AbstractThe extent of sequence diversity among the genes encoding 10 antigens (Tp1–10) known to be recognized by CD8+T lymphocytes from cattle immune toTheileria parvawas analysed. The sequences were derived from parasites in 23 buffalo-derived cell lines, three cattle-derived isolates and one cloned cell line obtained from a buffalo-derived stabilate. The results revealed substantial variation among the antigens through sequence diversity. The greatest nucleotide and amino acid diversity were observed in Tp1, Tp2 and Tp9. This essay also examines if a third party funder in Sweden may be responsible for arbitration costs and if so, on what possible grounds. Kidney fibrosis is characterized by the continuous mesenchymal accumulation of matrix components, leading to progressive decline in kidney function in chronic kidney diseases (CKD). Transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β) is the key driver in kidney fibrosis. However, there is no effective way to target TGF-β to prevent fibrosis, because inhibition of TGF-β also abolishes its protective anti-inflammatory and wound healing effects. Therefore, aimed to dissociate TGF-β’s profibrotic (unwanted) effects from anti-inflammatory and wound healing (wanted) effects. Hence, targeting β-catenin/Foxo not

Now NAEs of various types have been identified in diverse multicellular organisms, in which they display profound biological effects. Although ta

Following Hsieh and Klenow (2009), this paper studies productivity dispersions in Colombian industrial establishments using the Colombian Annual Manufacturing Survey (AMS) from 1982 to 1998. The United States is used as a benchmark to estimate the reallocation of capital and labor to equalize marginal products across plants in Colombia. Gains are found in manufacturing Total Factor Productivity (TFP) of approximately 3-8 percent and TPF is positively correlated with exporting status, age, size, and location in the central region of the country. There is also suggestive evidence that opening th

Currently, methylotrophic yeast expression system has been developed and widely used for recombinant proteins production. In this research, Pichia pastoris strains, X-33, GS115, KM71H, and Hansenula polymorpha NRRL2214, were used as hosts for recombinant monomeric insulin production. Recombinant plasmids, TP1, TP2, TP4, which have 1, 2 and 4 copy(s) of monomeric insulin precursor (MIP) gene, respectively, were successfully constructed in pPICZαA expression vector and transformed into the hosts. The recombinant yeasts which harboring TP1, TP2, TP4 plasmids which integrated into their genome wer

Abstract:
Set against the motivation for NIE/GPL to enhance Teacher Professional Development (TPD) in meeting the needs of our stakeholders, the question of what makes a teacher want to engage in TPD was raised. While a wide literature scan has shown numerous studies on TPD that illuminates different types of PD that teachers do consider effective, there exists little consensus on which type of PD works best. It is no surprise that there is inconclusive evidence on what makes a teacher want to do TPD. Today, the Singapore literature suffers from a dearth of empirical study to show what motivates a teach
