Abstract:

Descreveu-se um surto de yersiniose em uma criação de pampo Trachinotus marginatus estudado no Laboratório de Piscicultura Estuarina e Marinha da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande. A enfermidade manifestou-se por transtornos natatórios, exoftalmia com panoftalmite e pela clássica boca vermelha, nome pelo qual se denomina "enfermidade da boca vermelha" (EBV). Abstract:

O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a eficácia da benzocaína e do eugenol como anestésicos para juvenis de Trachinotus marginatus. Foram testadas concentrações de 25, 50, 75, 100 e 150ppm de benzocaína e de 25, 37,5, 50, 62,5 e 75ppm de eugenol. Os testes foram realizados em aquários de vidro contendo 30l de água (salinidade 30‰ e temperatura 19°C). Conhecer a taxa de consumo de oxigênio pós-prandial pode auxiliar na determinação da freqüência alimentar ideal para as espécies cultivadas. O pampo Trachinotus marginatus é uma espécie com potencial para piscicultura, mas a sua utilização pode ser limitada pelas variações de salinidade comuns em estuários ou em ambientes super-salinos. Este trabalho foi realizado com o objetivo de determinar a tolerância à salinidade de juvenis de T. marginatus em laboratório. Foram testadas 12 salinidades em duplicata (0, 6, 8, 10, 15, 25, 45, 55, 58, 61, 65 e 75‰) e um tratamento controle (35‰). In this work, we evaluated the influence of long rocky jetties (~5 km) on fish abundance and diversity between sheltered and exposed marine sandy beaches. We also described and compared the fish community structure and investigated the relationships between environmental variables and fish assemblages. The objective of this work was to evaluate the ideal feeding rate and frequency for juvenile pompano (Trachinotus marginatus). Two experiments were carried out in a completely randomized design, with three replicates each. In experiment I, 25 fish (4.8±0.6 g and 6.48±0.01 cm) were stocked in 15 tanks (50 L) during 21 days and fed 4, 8, 12, 16, and 20% body weight per day.
