It is established that Plato has an ambivalent attitude towards traditional religious beliefs. On the one hand, he defends the ceremonial and ritual side of the Olympic religion and the positive myths about the gods. On the other hand, Plato criticizes false myths that depict the vicious deeds of the gods.
