Abstract:
The machine learning method for crop and fertilizer recommendations is presented in this study in an effort to improve agricultural productivity. By combining the strengths of XGBoost and Random Forest algorithms through an ensemble model, this system provides customized recommendations based on important soil and environmental parameters, such as temperature, humidity, rainfall, pH, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and other indicators for the optimal crop growth and yield. Using a soft voting technique, the model outperforms traditional single model systems by averaging predictions from both

Abstract:
This study explores the application of deep learning to detect and count açaípalm trees (Euterpe oleracea) in the Amazon using UAV imagery. A YOLOv8n model was trained on a georeferenced dataset collected across three municipalities at Northeast of the state of Pará, Brazil, achieving a mean average precision of 0.809 at IoU 0.5 (mAP50) and 0.312 at mAP50–95. The model was integrated into a web platform to enable non-experts, such as farmers and conservationists, to upload imagery and receive annotated results in real time. This facilitates more scalable and sustainable monitoring of açaípopul

Abstract:
Plants are a major and important food source for the world's population. Smart and sustainable agriculture should be capable of providing precise and timely diagnosis of plant diseases. This helps in preventing financial and other resource loss to the farmers. Since plant diseases show visible symptoms which a plant pathologist will be able to diagnose through optical observations. But this process is slow and requires continuous monitoring as well as the availability and successful diagnostic capability of the pathologist. To overcome this, in smart agriculture, computer-aided plant disease d

Abstract:
This paper discusses System of Rice Intensification (SRI) interventions and its potential effects on paddy yield and commercialisation in Mngeta division, Kilombero district in Morogoro region, Tanzania. SRI is an innovative agroecological methodology that aims to improve yields and farmers’ profits by creating the most suitable environment for the rice plant to grow. It comprises the precise set of cultivation practices specifically required for careful management of biophysical needs of the rice plant for producing high yields. To assess the effects, we compare between trained and non-traine

Abstract:
Beekeeping contributes to rural development by supporting agricultural production through pollination and by providing honey, wax, and other products for home use and sale. It offers a good way for resource-poor farmers in the Hindu Kush Himalayas to obtain income, as it requires only a small start-up investment, can be carried out in a small space close to the home, and generally yields profits within a year of operation. A modern approach to bee management, using frame hives and focusing on high quality, will help farmers benefit most fully from beekeeping. This manual is designed to help pr
