On s’attache d’abord à montrer la surprenante polysémie du terme « sujet », pour classer ensuite les problèmes afférents sous trois rubriques : la subjectité, la subjectivité et la sujétion. Ces questions se posent à divers niveaux ontologiques, reliés entre eux en termes d’évolution par un concept : la trajection, qui est analogue à une prédication dont le sujet fondamental est la Terre, et le prédicat un certain monde. Tout monde prédicatif tend à s’absolutiser, c’est-à-dire à oublier le sujet qui le fonde, s’exposant ainsi – comme le nôtre – à un retour destructeur de ce sujet, en l’occurrence la Terre.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to focus on the investigation of nanomechanical behavior of new types of metal alloys protective coatings. For this purpose, poly(n-butylacrylate) was synthesized via activators regenerated by electron transfer-atom transfer radical polymerization and mixed with epoxy resins, and microcomposites. Design/methodology/approach Multi-layered coatings were applied on hot dip galvanized steel via a baker film applicator. Every layer containing the aforementioned copolymer differs in the proportion of the epoxy resin resulting in the production of a coating with a gradient from hard to soft from the substrate to the top. Nanomechanical performance is accessed via nanoindentation, providing information for structural and mechanical integrity, adhesion and resistance to wear. Findings The results reveal that through trajection of hardness mapping, the resistance is divided in three regions, namely, the polymer (matrix), interface (region close to/between spheres-shells) and spheres-shell regions. Originality/value The structural analysis, adhesion and mechanical integrity of the coatings are clearly demonstrated.

L'architecture relaye les différences entre abriter, loger et habiter. Abriter constitue cet acte réflexe de protection contre une extériorité hostile. Le loger exprime l'idée de réponses rationnelles à des besoins, par des fonctions. L'habiter est une réalité immanente à l'être et un mode par lequel l'agent manisfeste singulièrement sa présence au monde. Le point de vue de la médiance d'Augustin Berque est la notion qui a donné l'orientation principale de cette thèse. Le Dasein de Martin Heidegger comme l'être-au-monde de Maurice Merleau-Ponty, ont représenté un deuxième outil de réflexion. La notion d'habitus de Pierre Bourdieu comme la médiance, soulignent l'idée d'une intériorité extériorisée et réciproquement d'une extériorité intériorisée. L'habitudologie a pour but d'émettre des hypothèses et de développer les plus adaptées à une situation en vue d'élaborer un projet. Cette posture nous l'avons appelée la projectation qui est le projet d'une action dans le sens d'un milieu<br>Architecture underlines differences between sheltering, housing and habiting. Sheltering constitutes this instinctive protection feat against any hostile exteriority. Lodging couches the idea in rational answers to needs, by means of functions. Habiting is an immanent reality to human being and a manner by wich the "agent" singularly expresses his existing to the world. The point of view of "médiance" by Augustin Berque is the concept that brought this theses premise. "Dasein" by Martin Heidegger, so as "l'être-au-monde" by Maurice Merleau-Ponty, represented a second thinking implement. "Habitus" concept by Pierre Bourdieu, highlights the idea of exteriorised interiority and reversely of an interiorised exteriority. Habitudology purpose is to propose some hypotheses and to develop most adapted ones to a situation so as to elaborate a project. Qu'est-ce qu'est la créativité d'un paysagiste? Est-il possible de l'enseigner ? Dans le cadre de l'apprentissage de cette profession, l'enseignement de l'atelier du projet occupe une place centrale. Le « faire » que l'on interroge est étroitement lié à la question de la création et de la concrétisation de l'idée, tout au long du processus de conception. Cependant, on néglige en général le fait que l'itinéraire suivi par l'homme au cours de sa vie influence nécessairement sa vision et sa manière d'agir. Autrement dit : le vécu du concepteur, en dehors du contexte du projet, agit sur sa capacité de projectation et constitue une phase préréflexive en amont de l'acte créateur. Dans notre étude, nous nous proposons d'ajouter un maillon d'enseignement corporel au sein de l'apprentissage du savoir et de la pratique. L'idée est d'élargir l'enseignement du projet au vécu du concepteur, en s'appuyant sur le principe que l'accumulation des expériences corporelles joue un rôle générateur et formateur de la capacité créatrice. Notre réflexion nous amène à considérer la créativité du concepteur paysagiste comme la capacité de « tisser avec » la réalité sensible, en visant la position médiane (mésologique) du sujet (concepteur) entre le monde extérieur et intérieur, naturel et artificiel, théorique et pratique. Cette définition rejoint celle du savoir de l'agir que nous proposons également et qui constitue la base d'un savoir spécialisé du projet du paysage, voire de l'architecture. La créativité se pose comme une approche mésologique, on peut dès lors tenter de l'enseigner<br>What is the creativity of a landscape architect ? Is it possible to teach ? In the landscape professional teaching, the project workshop holds the central place. The "Doing" that we question is closely related to how to create and realize the idea through the design process. However, we usually neglect that the lived experiences of a man necessarily affect his vision and his way of acting. In other words, the lived experiences of the designer outside the project's context influence his ability to projectation and establish a pre-reflexive stage upstream of the creative act. In our study, we propose to add a "body" teaching to the knowledge and the practice learning. The idea is to expand the project teaching to the lived life of designer, based on the principle that the accumulation of body experiences plays a creative ability generator and trainer role. Our reflection leads us to consider the creativity of landscape architect as the ability to "weave with" sensible reality, aiming at the middle position (mesological) of the subject (designer) between the outer and the inner, natural and artificial, theoretical and practical worlds. This definition is similar to the knowledge of the act ("savoir de I'agir"), a term we propose in this thesis, referring to the basis of specialized knowledge, not only to the landscape project, but also the architecture project. We finally can try teaching the creativity by considering it in a mesological approach

Cette recherche insiste sur le rythme du trajet mésologique s'opérant dans le propre milieu d'une société, c'est-à-dire celui de la trajectivité. C'est au long du trajet mésologique ou dans la trajectivité que la valeur écologique et la valeur symbolique s'unissent, et encore l'ordre physique et l'ordre phénoménal se croisent. Le concept du trajet mésologique nous conduit à réfléchir sur le déterminisme écologique et sur le mécanicisme moderne, dans lequel l'étendue terrestre n'est pas considérée comme un lieu vivant et concret, mais comme un espace inerte et abstrait. Donc, cette recherche consiste à considérer l'établissement d'un lieu d'habitation humain, pour lequel on rappelle qu'on devrait prendre en compte le point de vue mésologique de tout environnement résidentiel. Surtout qu'il s'appuie sur le sens particulier que les habitants attribuent à la nature et à l'espace. Ce sens contribue à leur bien être vital. Il est devenu le motif principal de toute transformation urbaine. Ce sens est en évolution progressive avec la « prise mésologique » d'un milieu dans la société humaine. Il n'est pas différent de l'étendue indéfinie d'un imaginaire en rapport avec la nature et l'espace. C'est-à-dire qu'il est la suite d'un processus de trajection<br>This research emphasizes the rhythm of the mesological way taking place in the proper milieu of a society that is to say that of the trajectivitie. It’s along the mesological way or in the trajectivitie that the ecological value and the symbolic value unite, and yet the physical order and the phenomenal order intersect. The concept of mesological way leads us to reflect on the environmental determinism and the mechanistic modem, where the extend land is not considered as a living and concrete place, but as an inert and abstract space. Therefore, this research is to consider the establishment of a human dwelling place, where we recall that we should take into account the mesological view of all residential environment. Especially since it is based the special meaning that people ascribe to nature and space. This meaning contributes to their well being vital. It has become the main motive of an urban transformation. This meaning is changing gradually with the "mesological taken" of a milieu in human society. It is no different from the indefinite extension of an imaginary relationship with nature and space. Mestrado em Engenharia de Computadores e Telemática<br>A utilização de sistemas de geo-localização já faz parte do quotidiano das pessoas, através dos mais variados equipamentos de recepção de dados posicionais. Com o aumento de utilização deste tipo de equipamentos, a estruturas de armazenamento associadas a dados geográficos foram aperfeiçoadas de forma a permitir uma gestão mais eficiente. Neste trabalho é apresentado uma Data Warehouse espacial orientado ao contexto para o armazenamento de dados relativos ao tráfego automóvel. Esses dados são obtidos através de dados posicionais e representados num mapa rodoviário digital. O mapeamento é analisado através da comparação das similaridades de trajectos criados a partir de dados posicionais de veiculos em Aalborg (Dinamarca), usando diferentes períodos de amostragem. Após o armazenamento dos trajectos, dos dados posicionais e dos troços percorridos em três Data Marts distintas, foi feita uma análise de rotas em zonas residenciais, estradas secundárias e em pontos turísticos em Pequim (China). Através da análise faz-se a relação entre as rotas mais rápidas, as mais curtas, o número de paragens e o contexto em que esses dados foram registados. A análise mostra que, nas zonas de estradas secundárias as rotas utilizadas com mais frequência são na maioria dos casos a rota mais rápida, o que não acontece nas zonas residenciais e nas zonas turísticas. A análise mostrou que a relevância temporal influenciou o nível de tráfego e que o factor meteorológico não teve influência na escolha das rotas.<br>The use of Geographic Information Systems is part of today's people's lives. As the use of these systems keeps growing, data storage and management structures are improving in order to allow a better use of spatio-temporal data. In this dissertation a Data Warehouse for traff ic and contextual storage is presented. The main data sources are GPS datasets and digital road maps. A map matching algorithm was implemented and evaluated using data from vehicles in Aalborg (Denmark). The data stored in three Data Marts, a route analysis in severa1 zones of Beijing city was presented. With this analysis, we show the relationship between the shortest routes, the fastest routes, the number of stoppages and the contextual data. The analysis shows that in secondary road zones, the routes used more frequently are usually the fastest routes. In residential zones and in turistic locations this conslusion was not found valid. It was concluded that time is a dimension that influences traffic levels, but no pattern was found beetween route selection and weather condition influenced the traffic level.

Dissertação de Doutoramento em Biologia, área de especialização em Biologia, apresentada à Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto<br>As proteinases aspárticas (PAs; EC3.4.23) são um grupo de enzimas bem definido e amplamente distribuído na natureza que tem sido objecto de intensa investigação dado o seu envolvimento em diversas patologias humanas e a sua importância na indústria dos lacticínios.As cardosinas são PAs vegetais, originalmente isoladas de flores de Cynara cardunculus L. e responsáveis pela actividade coagulante exibida pelas últimas. Entre as PAs vegetais identificadas até à data, a cardosina A e a cardosina B são duas das que melhor se encontram caracterizadas, tanto do ponto de vista molecular como bioquímico. A acumulação de PAs nos órgãos florais de dicotiledóneas é um fenómeno raro, pelo que a presença das cardosinas no pistilo de C. cardunculus torna esta espécie um modelo interessante para o estudo das funções biológicas deste grupo de enzimas em plantas.Na primeira parte deste trabalho procedeu-se à descrição da anatomia e ultra-estrutura do pistilo de C. cardunculus durante a ontogénese floral, bem como ao estudo da expressão da cardosina A (proteína e mRNA) e caracterização da distribuição desta PA nos órgãos do pistilo de cardo ao longo do desenvolvimento da flor.Verificou-se que o mRNA da cardosina A está presente nos estados imaturos do desenvolvimento floral e que a sua presença está relacionada com o tipo específico de órgão sendo mais abundante no estigma do que no estilete ou ovário. Em estados mais avançados da ontogénese floral (inflorescência madura) o mRNA da cardosina A está ausente, indicando que a expressão da cardosina A é regulada durante o desenvolvimento. Os estudos de imunodetecção da cardosina A revelaram a sua presença principalmente em flores diferenciadas provenientes de inflorescências maduras. A presente dissertação insere-se no âmbito do mestrado em Sociologia na especialização em Recursos Humanos e Desenvolvimento Sustentável. Este trabalho consiste num estudo de caso que tem como objecto de análise uma estrutura de educação e formação de adultos: o Centro Novas Oportunidades. Nesta investigação procura-se analisar os efeitos do processo RVCC, após a certificação, nos domínios pessoais, formativos e profissionais, da vida dos adultos. A componente empírica desta investigação desenvolveu-se durante os anos 2007 a 2010 e teve como palco o Centro Novas Oportunidades do Centro de Formação Profissional de Portalegre. As metodologias de que nos socorremos na investigação ancoraram, sobretudo, na abordagem qualitativa, presente na análise do conteúdo, análise documental e entrevistas semi-estruturadas. Os resultados deste estudo permitiram-nos concluir que, efectivamente, o processo RVCC tem vindo a produzir efeitos positivos no percurso de vida das pessoas: a) Em termos pessoais, contribuindo para o aumento do auto-conhecimento, melhoria da auto-estima e da autoconfiança, criando as condições para a aposta em novos projectos; b) Em termos formativos, permitindo a procura de cursos e acções de formação, maior interesse pelas tecnologias de informação e comunicação. c) Por fim, em termos profissionais, contribuiu fundamentalmente para munir os candidatos de competências, permitindo-lhes uma melhor adaptação ao mercado de trabalho; ### Abstract: The present dissertation was written to obtain the Master‘s degree in Sociology, specialization in Human Resources and Sustainable development. This work consists of a case study that has as analysed object adult educational and formative structure: The New Opportunities Centre. This investigation analyses the effects of the RVCC (recognition, validation and certification of competences) process, in adults‘ professional, personal and formative life domains. The empirical component of this investigation took place between the years 2007-2010 and was focused on one specific New Opportunities Centre: Portalegre Vocational Training Center. The methodology used in the investigation is focused both on centred mainly on a qualitative approach content and documental analysis and on semi-structured interviews. The results of this study allowed us to conclude that the RVCC process has been producing positive effects in the adults‘ life paths: a) In a personal context, it contributed to the increase candidates‘ self-knowledge and the improvement of their self-esteem and self-confidence, creating the necessary conditions to undertake new projects in life; b) In a professional learning context, it allowed candidates to maintain a constant search in continuous educational programmes and it also promoted a bigger interest in Information and Communication Technologies; c) Ultimately, in a professional context it contributed to develop the candidates‘ skills allowing them to better adapt to the labor market.

Dissertação de Mestrado em Sociologia do Conhecimento, Educação e Sociedade<br>A forma como a escola se relaciona com a família e esta com aquela tem vindo a mudar, não propriamente por necessidades sentidas pelos actores em questão (professores, encarregados de educação e alunos), mas por imposição das mudanças ao nível do contexto económico, social e político. O processo de globalização das economias e das sociedades, a adesão à União Europeia e as modificações ao nível estruturas familiares transformaram o discurso político e social relativamente à escola e à forma como ela deve servir a sociedade. Dos sistemas educativos pretende-se que respondam cada vez mais à necessidade de se integrarem nas dinâmicas locais e de sustentarem os processos de diferenciação social e cultural, o que exige uma maior proximidade das escolas às suas comunidades (constituídas pelas autarquias, empresas, instituições variadas, famílias dos alunos, etc) por forma a aumentar a comunicação e a concertação de objectivos e de estratégias. Também os níveis de escolarização mais elevados dos pais e o cada vez maior acesso a um grande número de informações, faz com que a população de uma forma em geral esteja mais atenta ao que se passa nas escolas. O insucesso escolar dos alunos deixou de poder ser explicado unicamente pela diferenciação de classes como nas teorias da reprodução social e muitos estudos apontam para fortes estratégias de escolarização junto das classes sociais mais desfavorecidas. Outros estudos indicam que a maior proximidade entre famílias e escola e um maior envolvimento parental nos percursos escolares dos filhos, aumenta as probabilidades de sucesso por parte dos alunos. Por influência desses autores e tentando perceber se uma maior disponibilidade de capital social dos alunos e um maior envolvimento parental dos seus pais facilita o sucesso escolar, procurámos saber se as Escolas Integradas possibilitam a obtenção de níveis mais elevados do que as Escolas Segmentadas (onde os alunos frequentam sucessivos espaços físicos e disfrutam de ambientes organizacionais diferenciados, tendo de estabelecer, assim tal como os seus encarregados de educação, novos contactos com novos professores) tal como era preconizado nos objectivos da criação das primeiras.

Relatório de Estágio no âmbito do Mestrado em Sociologia, na área específica de Politicas Públicas e Desigualdades Sociais.<br>Este relatório é o resultado de nove meses de estágio curricular no CLDS-VS de Odivelas, no âmbito do Mestrado em Sociologia. Este estágio dividiu-se em duas componentes que se mantiveram sempre interligadas; uma componente mais prática, de observação e participação nas tarefas diárias na instituição e uma componente de investigação. Ao nível da investigação pretendeu-se desenvolver um estudo qualitativo sobre os factores que condicionam as vivências e as lógicas de acção em situação de desemprego e que podem levar a processos de exclusão social. A Vertente Sul de Odivelas é o território em estudo, onde se observou de perto (e participou) nas experiências dos desempregados habitantes daquele território. A pertinência deste trabalho prende-se, assim, a nível sociológico com a importância em perceber os problemas sociais num espaço específico de forma a tentar, junto das entidades intervenientes, colmatar algumas das necessidades mais gritantes das populações carenciadas. O desemprego assume consequências “invisíveis”, reequacionando-se o papel da família, das relações de vizinhança e dos poderes públicos na manutenção da coesão social e sustentabilidade das políticas de intervenção. A abordagem estrutural e biográfica perspectiva o desemprego como uma experiência social que assume vivências subjectivas, resultando não apenas na privação directa de um salário, como também nas fragilidades de sociabilidade e identidade dos actores sociais. A sociologia pode dar o seu contributo mais prático através de uma análise primária e posterior intervenção na procura de resolução das problemáticas em questão. Para tal foram realizadas, no âmbito de um estágio curricular, dez entrevistas semi-directivas, a sujeitos desempregados, cuja escolha da amostra foi recolhida a partir de uma caracterização prévia dos sujeitos de forma a recolher testemunhos dos efeitos subjectivos que o desemprego provoca na vida dos actores sociais.
