It is well-known that the length of two texts in Ukrainian and English may not be the same. This can be explained by the use of the compressed forms in both languages [1, p.66]. Compression is very common in translating processes and is considered as a whole system of methods/techniques enabling to truncate the text without distorting or destroying its meaning. According to Nigel Armstrong, compression “generally occurs when the segment contains an unnecessary detail that might weary the reader, or information that is difficult to translate concisely because of culture-specific obstacles, or b

The conclusions drawn are: 1. the translator's main aim was to present the sense of his Hebrew Vorlage without change, and to do so in a readily accessible presentational style. The evidence on which this conclusion is based is the presence of two co-existing forms of translation throughout: (i) almost always literal, in presentation of the sense. The few points at which the sense is modified almost all pertain to the theme of the movement from the Temple- an

In this study I show that the translator of LXX Proverbs frequently rendered Hebrew parallelism in a form that is more closely parallel than the MT, that is, the colons of couplets correspond more closely to each other semantically and/or grammatically. The argument is based on the hypothesis that the Hebrew source of LXX Proverbs is similar to the MT in the cases discussed. The translator's fondness for producing closely corresponding lines needs to be considered when using LXX Proverbs as a source of variant readings. Many software applications involve models of data that are manipulated by the application. There is often a need to transform (or translate) the data from one model, into another in which the data is differently structured. In addition, there is an increasing requirement to pass data between different applications, which invariably have different formats for their data models. Both of these issues require a translation of the modelled data from one form to another. The present paper explores Pound’s innovative approach to translation. Pound’s translations were not mere renderings of one language into another. They were creative acts that managed to capture the essence and spirit of the original work. Pound believed that a translation should not only convey the meaning of the text but also its form, sound, and rhythm. To achieve this, he often adapted it to fit the stylistic and linguistic conventions of the target language. This approach, known as “translating with an accent”, allowed Pound to create translations that were not only faithful to the origin

Abstract:
Review question / Objective: Is there a difference in terms of post-operative events between delayed and immediate coloanal anastomoses in the management of rectum carcinoma? Condition being studied: Rectal carcinoma. Eligibility criteria: We defined the lower rectum as any rectal tumor located within 6cm of the anal margin or within 2cm of the upper edge of the sphincter ring.- All scientific articles published or not published between 01/1985 and 09/2021 that aim to demonstrate the postoperative, oncological and functional results of ACAD in the curative treatment of adenocarcinoma of the lo

Review question / Objective: The purpose of this systematic review was to systematically review the clinical studies regarding miRNAs as diagnostic biomarkers for inflammatory bowel disease and assess the overall diagnostic accuracy of miRNAs. Condition being studied: The symptoms of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) are highly variable. The diagnosis of IBD must be made through medical history, physical, laboratory, radiologic, endoscopic, and histological examinations. However, these diagnostic techniques are not specific and sometimes even equivocal. Therefore, reliable biomarkers are urgent

Abstract:
Chloroplasts are the site of photosynthesis and of other essential biosynthetic activities in plant cells. Chloroplasts are semi-autonomous organelles, since they contain their own genomes and protein biosynthetic machinery, but depend on the coordinate expression of nuclear genes to assemble macromolecular complexes. The bioeingineering of plants requires manipulation of chloroplast gene expression, and thus a knowledge of the molecular mechanisms that modulate mRNA and protein production. In this proposal the heterotrophic green alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii has been used as a model system
