Abstract:
The development road transport is closely interrelated with changes in the performance of production, trade, tourism and more. Trends in these indicators primarily affect the indicators  passenger turnover and the number of passengers carried by road. As development trends for the future show, further fluctuations in passenger traffic by road should be expected, given the projected moderate growth of the trade and tourism economy. Possible crises, which are also predicted by experts, require further systematic approach and analysis of possible risks to road transport, including passenger traffic. The purpose the scientific article is to analyze, statistically process and provide recommendations for changing the performance passenger transport by road to improve the efficiency transport technologies and the quality transport services in the regions of Ukraine. The analysis changes in passenger turnover and the number of transported passengers for the conditions Sumy region based on the data of the Main Department Statistics in Sumy region confirmed the national trends of changes in passenger traffic by road transports. Processing  statistical values of passenger turnover indicators and the number of passengers transported by road provides an opportunity to develop ways to improve passenger traffic, which will determine the main directions and targets for the development the transport system in the regions. These ways improvement are implemented in the development forms and methods management, as well as in the constant expansion the development of a logistical approach in the planning passenger transport and vehicle routes. Elements scientific novelty include the development recommendations for the operation and planning passenger road transport within the region, which is quite relevant for the socio-economic development of the region.

Abstract:
In the article the author has analyzed the general principles of transport logistics in Ukraine. The main factors that determine the logistical activities and which have an influence on the choice of the mode of transport have been determined. The transportation of cargo by mode of transport was analysed, and outlined a place of road transport. In this paper conducted analytical studies to determine the sectoral structure of export of Ukraine’s regions to neighboring countries by automobile transport by means of transportation and information portal Ukraine “Lardi-trans”. According to the study from the regions highest exports to neighboring countries – produce timber and woodworking industry. Production of the industry ranks first in the structure of exports of goods Volyn, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, Transcarpathian, Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi, Donetsk, Chernihiv and Sumy regions. Food products in the export structure dominated Kiev, Cherkassy, Poltava, Kharkiv, Odessa, Mykolayiv and Kherson regions. In other regions dominated by agricultural products – particularly Kirovohrad region, iron and steel products – Dnipropetrovsk region, Lugansk region – produce pulp and paper industry. In second place in the export structure in Western countries mainly agricultural products and foodstuffs. But in the eastern regions of the country is mostly engineering products. According to the study the regions of Ukraine were divided into 3 groups: West of the predominance in the structure of exports of forestry and wood processing industry, Central – dominated the food industry and agricultural and East – dominated, industries and mechanical engineering and metal working, chemical, steel and non-ferrous industry. In the work assessed exports by region of Ukraine with the release of several groups of regions and analyzed by mode of transport. An important role in the study covers evaluation of transit of goods by road through the territory of Ukraine with analysis of major trend and states – participants. Countries that use the transport system of Ukraine for the transit of their goods to third countries were divided into three groups. The first group includes Turkey, Russia and Moldova on transit volumes over 500 ths. tons. The second group consists of Romania, Italy, Belarus and Poland. The volume of transit through Ukraine up to 200 – 500 ths. tons. In the third group, with the least, but no less important for the economic development of Ukraine transit volumes include Bulgaria, Hungary, Greece, Slovenia and Germany. The basic tasks of transport logistics were defined in the article, including states which improve the quality of the transport infrastructure and transport services and bringing them up to global standards, the maximum load of the rolling stock, cargo insurance and vehicles.

Abstract:
Introduction. The article deals with the results of the mycotoxicological analysis of feed samples of pond fish. There were found the T2-toxin and aflatoxins. The combined presence of aflatoxins B1, B2, G1 and G2 and T2-toxin was found in all samples of fish feed. Was also studied the impact of combination of several mycotoxins on organoleptic and physico-chemical characteristics of fish carcasses. Fish, affected by mycotoxins, can be classified to the category of doubtful freshness.
Materials and methods of research. The studies were conducted between May and October 2019. The investigated materials were a large number of grain and grain mixtures, for feeding fish in six ponds in Nikolaevska settlement community of Sumy region. Preparation of grain samples were made according resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, June 14, 2002, No. 833 «The order of the selection of samples animal, plant and biotechnological origin». The studies of the toxicity and persistent T2-toxin and full amount of aflatoxins B1, B2, G1 and G2 are conducted on the basis of the Sumy Regional Laboratory of Veterinary Medicine. Feed toxicity was investigated by bioassay on the Tetrahymena piriformis infusorium used the DSTU 3570-97. The RIDASCREEN test systems were used to investigate the aflatoxins B1, B2, G1 and G2 in grains and grain mixtures. Ichthyopathological studies were conducted in the department of Veterinary and Sanitary Examination, Microbiology, Zooghygiene, Safety and the Guality of Livestock Products of the Sumy National Agrarian University by the accepted methods.
Results of research and discussion. In the territory of the Nikolaevska settlement community of Sumy region there are six ponds, in which hold fish, mainly crucian and carp. The fish are fed once a week. Feed mainly consists of grain waste (barley, wheat), which is supplied by local farmers. Food is stored in unsuitable premises. In the feed we noted the presence of remains of substandard grain, which was thrown out during separation. Grain samples are not sampled and laboratory tests are not carried out.
The feed is shipped by transport to ponds, dumped from the shore into a pond, immersed in to the water, where consumed by the fish.
Totaly 19 samples of feed were examined during this period. Organoleptic evaluation of grain and grain mixtures revealed that the color of the grain was natural, the smell of all the samples had a certain tinge of moldy-musty, some samples had signs of fermentation and mold.
Aqueous solutions of the grain extracts and mixtures of the test samples caused a stopping of movement and death of all Tetrahymena piriformis infusions up to 60 minutes in 7 samples, that indicates the toxicity of these feeds. Low toxicity was detected in 11 samples of experimental feed. The absence of toxicity was evidenced by the activity of Tetrahymena piriformis infusoriums, which persisted for 1 hour after the action of aqueous extracts of the samples.
The results of the determination of the toxicity of grain feed using infusorium Tetrahymena piriformis.
To analyze the content of major mycotoxins was used competitive enzyme immunoassay. The RIDASCREEN FAST Aflatoxin test system and the RIDASCREEN FAST T-2 Toxin test system have a high sensitivity of 0.0017 mg / kg and 0.05 mg / kg, respectively, which made it possible to determine the content of T-2 toxin, the amounts of aflatoxins B1, B2, G1 and G2 in their lowest concentration.
The results of analysis of feed samples using the amount of aflatoxins B1, B2, G1 and G2
That in all samples of grain and grain mixtures was established the presence of aflatoxins B1, B2, G1 and G2. In 7 samples its content exceeds the maximum permissible concentrations.
In 10 samples, the combined presence of aflatoxins B1, B2, G1 and G2 and T2-toxin was found, in 5 samples - exceeding the maximum levels. It is known that the combination of several mycotoxins can lead to their synergistic interaction, which will have a more pronounced toxic effect.
Unfortunately, it was not possible to determine the maximum content of aflatoxins B1, B2, G1 and G2 and T2-toxin, so further test kits with different reading ranges should be used, since highly sensitive mycotoxin detection kits make it impossible to determine up to 1 mg / kg.
In the following research, we studied the chemical properties of fish meat: reaction to peroxidase (benzidine sample), amount of amino-ammonia nitrogen, reaction with copper sulfate, reaction with Eber reagent, determination of hydrogen sulfide, pH and reaction with Nesler reagent.
When muscle is damaged by mycotoxin, the products protein breakdown appears, which promotes rapid breakdown of tissue elements and leads to rapid deterioration of fish. Analyzing changes in veterinary-sanitary and physico-chemical parameters of fish affected by mycotoxicosis, we can classify the affected fish in the category of doubtful freshness.
Conclusions and prospects for further research.

During the investigate of grain and grain mix for feeding pond fish it was found that 19 samples were highly toxic and 36.8% were law toxoc.

 2. Using the competitive enzyme immunoassay the combined presence of aflatoxins B1, B2, G1 and G2 and T2-toxin was found in all samples
In 7 samples its content exceeds the maximum permissible concentrations. T2-toxin was found was found in 16 samples, and in 10 samples its content exceeds the maximum permissible concentrations.

Fish affected by mycotoxins for organoleptic and physico-chemical characteristics can be classified to the category of doubtful freshness.

Abstract:
Abstract A record-breaking rainfall event occurred in northeastern Vietnam in late July–early August 2015. The coastal region in Quang Ninh Province was hit severely, with station rainfall sums in the range of 1000–1500 mm. The heavy rainfall led to flooding and landslides, which resulted in an estimated economic loss of $108 million (U.S. dollars) and 32 fatalities. Using a multitude of data sources and ECMWF ensemble forecasts, the synoptic–dynamic development and practical predictability of the event is investigated in detail for the 4-day period from 1200 UTC 25 July to 1200 UTC 29 July 2015, during which the major portion of the rainfall was observed. A slowly moving upper-level subtropical trough and the associated surface low in the northern Gulf of Tonkin promoted sustained moisture convergence and convection over northeastern Vietnam. The humidity was advected in a moisture transport band lying across the Indochina Peninsula and emanating from a tropical storm over the Bay of Bengal. Analyses of the ECMWF ensemble forecasts clearly showed a sudden emergence of the predictability of the extreme event at lead times of 3 days that was associated with the correct forecasts of the intensity and location of the subtropical trough in the 51 ensemble members. Thus, the Quang Ninh event is a good example in which the predictability of tropical convection arises from large-scale synoptic forcing; in the present case it was due to a tropical–extratropical interaction that has not been documented before for the region and season.

Abstract:
Analyzed the level of primary morbidity of population and prevalence of the osteo-muscular system diseases and of the connective tissue diseases among the residents of the Sumy region. It is established that nosologies of this class are occupy a prominent place in the overall structure of disease's prevalence among the inhabitants of the Sumy region. The percentage of above mentioned nosologies in total structure of Sumy region population morbidity has been exceed 5 %. The dynamics of primary morbidity and prevalence of diseases was separately examined during 2005–2016. Moreover, it was revealed that the situation with the morbidity by nosologies of this group during 2005–2016 has been deteriorating. For example, the primary morbidity of population of the Sumy region by diseases of osteomuscular system and of the connective tissue decreased by 6.5 %, but the prevalence of orthopedics pathologies among inhabitants ofthe Sumy region for the above indicated period increased by 11.0 %. It is established that in the structure of prevalence of the osteomuscular system diseases and of the connective tissue diseases on the first place are arthrosis diseases, which demonstrated the high levels of primary morbidity's growth during 2005–2016, which in some regions exceed 50–80 %. The morbidity of population by the arthritis diseases in the Sumy region for the same period increased by 30.8 %, and their prevalence by 34.4 %, but the highest tempo of growth in the rates of primary morbidity and prevalence are characteristic for saline arthropathies – 25.7 % and 12.0 % respectively. The benefit of this study is analyses of the geographical patterns of morbidity of the population as well as prevalence of the osteomuscular system diseases and of the connective tissue diseases among the inhabitants of the region. With help the quantitative analysis methods, the groups of districts with different rates of morbidity of population, prevalence of diseases of the skeleton/muscular apparatus and connective tissue and different level of provision of the Sumy region population by medical institutions and specialists of the appropriate profile were identified. The geographical discrepancies between the level of the morbidity of population and the level of specialized medical-orthopedically care is revealed. It has been established that in many administrative districts of the region there are no orthopedist at all among the specialists providing medical assistance, and beds for orthopedic patients (or both) are absent in medical and preventive institutions. Consequently the population is not provided with the proper level of orthopedic care.

Abstract:
Introduction. The development of radio broadcasting in Sumy region is ambiguous. On the one hand, this process took place in the context of the development of radio broadcasting in Soviet Ukraine in general, on the other hand, it had certain features that were due to a number of both objective and subjective reasons, in particular, the territorial and administrative structure of Sumy region in the 20-30s 20th century. Relevance and goal. The relevance of the research lies in the fact that it makes it possible to introduce unknown or little-known facts related to the formation of radio broadcasting in the 20-30s of the 20th century into the scientific circulation of journalism in Sumy region. The goal of the article is to organize data on the peculiarities of the formation of radio broadcasting in Sumy region in the 20-30s of the 20th century. Methodology. Historical, retrospective methods, the method of document analysis and system analysis were used to study the outlined issue. The results. Radiofication in the Sumy region began in 1920 and was determined by the socio-economic need – the delivery of information to the population in the shortest possible way, and the mobilization of workers. First of all, “radio” came to the northern district towns of Sumy region, where industry was most developed. 1920–1922 were key in the spread of radio on the territory of Sumy region. The next stage of radio broadcasting dates back to 1924, it is connected with the beginning of its own broadcasting in Ukraine. The number of receiving radio stations is increasing. Attention was also paid to rural areas, especially to those settlements where the process of collectivization was successful. We have been observing the revival of radiography since the beginning of the 30s of the 20th century. This was especially true in rural areas. The spread of radio broadcasting was mostly entrusted to local organizations – collective farms, cooperatives, etc., which were supposed to provide funds. The final stage of radio broadcasting in Sumy region was the creation of the Sumy region State Radio Studio in August 1939. Conclusions. The process of radio broadcasting in Sumy region in the 20-30s of the 20th century reflects the main stages and regularities that occurred at that time in general. However, the territorial-administrative structure of the Sumy region had a significant influence on him.

Abstract:
Mature karst topography is well recognized within the hydrology and geology communities to include subterranean fluid pathways that act as turbulent conduits conveying fluid from surface stream sinks called swallets to sources called springs. However, we find that little knowledge has been reported with regards to the transport and fate of terrestrially-derived sediment organic carbon (SOC) within karst watersheds. This study investigated the hypothesis that karst pathways could act as biologically active conveyors of SOC that temporarily store sediment, turnover carbon at higher rates than otherwise considered, and recharge depleted SOC back to the surface stream within the fluvial system. Mixed research methods were applied within a mature karst network. Methods included high resolution measurements of water and sediment characteristics of surface streams, carbon and stable carbon isotope measurements of transported sediment, and numerical modeling of water and sediment pathways. The mixing of sediment during net zero deposition and erosion was investigated in this study using a parameter calibrated to SOC data. Results of this study showed that heterotrophic bacteria in the subsurface conduit oxidized 0.05 tCkm-2y-1 resulting from the temporary storage of terrestrial carbon in the karst conduit. The subsurface conduit transports 0.15 tCkm-2y-1 out of the fluviokarst watershed.

Abstract:
Background: The world of today is immensely interconnected. Over the past decades, national economies have been de-bordered and the promoting of the flows of goods, people, capital and services across the borders is evident, as opposed to when flows only moved within national economies. Former vertical structures of old nations have been replaced by a horizontal flow structure in a complex and intertwined global economy. Attracting flows is essential for the growth and survival of cities. Hubs functions as important connection points for these flows and are therefore highly important. Research procedure: The purpose of this thesis is to describe how city regions function from a hub perspective by mapping the most important hubs in the Oresund Region, and investigating the connectivity and collaboration between these hubs. This study has a qualitative and inductive approach with a case study design and the empirical findings is based on twelve interviews with representatives of different fields. Results: The most important hubs were divided into three categories: transport, economic and infrastructure hubs, illustrated in the hub categorization model. The results indicate that there is a interconnectivity issue with interdependencies between the different hubs in the Oresund Region. This is illustrated through the hub relationship model. Collaboration seems to take place mostly within sectors and through the municipalities..

Abstract:

Abstract:
The monograph is devoted to the generalization of the factors of railway transportation in Western Siberia and their influence on the formation of the experience of saving transportation resources in 1965-1991. The basic factors are considered such as the natural conditions and the production apparatus of the region, the development of a program-oriented approach to the development of the territory and the formation of the material base of railway transport in its space. These components are considered as historical challenges for the design of labor initiatives "from below". These initiatives are classified into three groups: speeding up the turnover of wagons, using the locomotive fleet, and saving fuel, energy, and other" variable " resources of the railway transportation process. The issues are considered taking into account the trends of fading opportunities for the Soviet model of system-wide development. It will be of interest to all those who are concerned about the history of Russia, the organization of its transport security system.

Abstract:
From the urban point of view, walkability is the mode of transport where the highest level of contact with the urban environment occurs and provides the most intense exchange between its agents. For this reason, it produces the greatest interaction with city life, promoting an almost organic relationship. Thus, primarily the walk of so repeated and automated is little reflected as an act in itself and can be held responsible for the reduced importance given to it in the treatment of urban space in Brazilian cities. And this occurs both in its understanding as a circulation system, as in its planning and formal spatial repercussion, responsible for generating an outline of urban design. Thus, commuting on foot, along with those who practice it, are systematically relegated by urban technology to a secondary level, where the understanding that adequate treatment of sidewalks and crossings predominates constitutes a kind of urban privilege, a luxury wasted on a second-class user. In this context, the research sought to understand the quality of the walkability and accessibility environment in the central region ofBrasília - the Southern Commercial Sector (SCS), considering the microscale (or street scale), as well as a survey of the physical system for accessibility : public facilities / urban barriers, urban furniture, sidewalks and shelters.

Abstract Shared automated electric vehicles (SAEV) can increase safety, reduce congestion, and provide environmental benefits to the urban transport system. Nonetheless, SAEV’s governance in the urban transport system is challenging. This paper proposes a novel interdisciplinary methodology and contributes to the governance debate from the ‘policy’ and ‘polity’ dimensions. We attempt to draw insight from the Norwegian cultural context and a willingness to use SAEV survey in Oslo, Norway. We analyse informal institutions from the cultural viewpoint using the Hofstede 6D model vis-à-vis a quantitative willingness to use SAEV survey. Then, we combine insight from the cultural indicators and survey to draw insight on the appropriate governance approaches from the ‘policy’ dimension of governance to promote SAEV deployment in Norway.

Abstract This research considers the case of a CargoTube physical Intranet network in Lower Saxony, connecting multiple automotive production sites. Through the economic growth of the region and its companies including the Volkswagen plant in Wolfsburg increased freight, especially on trucks, is brought to the region which brings along a lot of traffic, noise and pollution. For green transportation of goods, we need zero-emissions vehicles and new transport systems like CargoTube. The CargoTube transport solution not only brings in new Hyperloop technology such as the introduction of a low-pressure tube environment and a linear motor but combines these innovations with established technologies such as the wheel-rail interface. A system based on CargoTube transport solution autonomously loads and unloads standardized containers. Transporting containerized cargo hundreds of kilometers in minutes enables the just-in-time supply chains needed for an economy and increases company profits. The research is devoted CargoTube transport network analysis with the help of the multi-agent simulation system TraPodSim created based on AnyLogic software. The questions to be answered by the simulation are related to analyse the CargoTube Transport Network for a certain set of KPI’s and analysis of effectiveness of integration with other transport mode.

Abstract:
AbstractDrop impact on a hot surface heated above the saturation temperature of the fluid plays an important role in spray cooling. The heat transferred from the wall to the fluid is closely interrelated with drop hydrodynamics. If the surface temperature is below the Leidenfrost temperature, the heat transport strongly depends on the transport phenomena in the vicinity of the three-phase contact line. Due to extremely high local heat flux, a significant fraction of the total heat flow is transported through this region. The local transport processes near the three-phase contact line, and, therefore, the total heat transport, are determined by the wall superheat, contact line velocity, system pressure, fluid composition, surface structure and physical properties on the wall. The effect of the aforementioned influencing parameters on fluid dynamics and heat transport during evaporation of a single meniscus in a capillary slot are studied in a generic experimental setup. The hydrodynamics and evolution of wall heat flux distribution during the impact of a single drop onto a hot wall are also studied experimentally by varying the impact parameters, wall superheat, system pressure, and wall topography. In addition, the fluid dynamics and heat transport behavior during vertical and horizontal coalescence of multiple drops on a heated surface are studied experimentally.

Abstract:
Abstract In the Northeast Marine Region of Mexico, there are approximately 1800 km of pipelines that allow the daily transport and operation under safe conditions. So, the oil and gas production in this region and their transport to the Process, Compression and Pumping Centers is externally protected by means of a cathodic protection system with aluminum sacrificial anodes. Currently, the cathodic protection potentials have started to decrease or are below the minimum acceptable value, as the system useful life is in its final stage. This system minimizes the steel deterioration by means of its interaction with other more active material which is corroded when exposed to the aggressive environment conditions. The anodes quantity is calculated in function of the area to protect, which is calculated according to the pipelines dimensions. The anodes are distributed along the pipelines, considering their protection coverage and depending upon their mass. From their installation, the anodes react and corrode due to the environmental conditions, such as salinity, temperature, dielectric coating failures. This situation involves a protection reduction until unprotected areas are reached and the pipelines corrosion is initiated. Considering the potentials monitoring carried out along the subsea pipelines and risers, reinforcement on the cathodic protection system was necessary. This activity was carried out using sacrificial anodes, without stopping the pipelines operation and with the help of surface and saturation diving, as well as a “dynamic positioning craft”, which allows operation up to 70 m deep.

Abstract:
Abstract Failure analysis of specimens removed from secondary side piping at Indian Point 2 was performed. The study included visual examination, wall thickness measurements, metallographic (optical and SEM) studies, and measurements of mechanical properties. Chemical analysis was carried out on the bulk metal, the surface region, and the overlying deposits. Oxide speciation was performed using XRD and Mössbauer spectroscopy. The results of the evaluation showed that erosion-corrosion was the principal pipe degradation mechanism. The factors contributing to significant erosion-corrosion were found to include a lower Cr content of the steel than needed to suppress erosion-corrosion, relatively low pH (8.8 - 9.2 during most of the period of plant operation), and high flow rates. The combination of these factors also gave rise to relatively high transport of iron oxides (predominantly magnetite) in the secondary system, which further increased the extent of erosion-corrosion. One important finding was the observation that magnetite particles in the wet steam were apparently responsible for the significant extent of erosion-corrosion of the pipes.

Abstract:
Abstract Analysis of recently reported observations of corrosion of carbon steel by CO2 in pipes, impinging jets and rotating cylinders illustrates the importance of distinguishing between momentum and mass transport. Apparent inconsistencies in the data can be explained. Increasing flow rates can cause increases in momentum, heat and mass transfer. In the case of corrosion of carbon steel by CO2, increases in the corrosion rate have been observed. This paper addresses the question, ”Which physical effect (wall shear stress or mass transfer) plays a prominent role in raising the corrosion rate?“ Experiments in pipe, impinging jet, and rotating cylinder flows are analyzed. Although all of these systems have well defined momentum and mass transport rates, the rates differ from each other for each system. Careful analysis of mass transport in the entry region supports the interpretation that the increase in corrosion rate with flow is related to mass transfer, and not local shear stress.

Abstract:
Abstract Oxide deposits on end-fitting liner tubes and steam generator tubes from the Bruce "A" Nuclear Generating Station (NGS) were characterized in advance of the decontamination of the heat transport system (HTS) of Bruce Unit 2. Oxide loadings, and Co-60 surface activities and specific activities were determined for the oxides on inlet and outlet end-fitting liner tubes from Bruce Unit 1, Bruce Unit 2 and Bruce Unit 4. Oxides on the inner surfaces of steam generator tubes from Bruce NGS Units 1 and 2 were also characterized. The consistency in the deposit characteristics on the inlet liner tubes and steam generator tubes from Bruce "A", along with the absence of magnetite on the outlet liner tubes has led to the development of a model for iron transport in the HTS of pressurized heavy water reactors (PHWRs). The activity transport/fouling mechanism involves flow-accelerated corrosion of the outlet feeder pipes, followed by deposition of iron in the steam generators, along the inlet feeder pipes, on the inlet end fittings, on the inlet fuel bundles and on the inlet region of the pressure tube. The results of loop experiments using decontamination solutions indicated that the oxide was rapidly removed from inlet liner tubes. However, removal of the Cr-rich oxide from the outlet liner tubes was less efficient, requiring the Alkaline Permangante (AP) oxidizing pre-treatment that is typically used in light water reactors (LWRs), The steam generator tubes were effectively decontaminated.

Abstract:
When solving integro-differential equations by means of numerical methods one has to deal with large systems of linear equations, such as happens in transport theory [10]. Many iterative techniques are now used in Transport Theory in order to solve problems of 2D and 3D dimensions. In this paper, we choose two problems to solve the following transport equation, μ∂ψ∂x(x,μ)+h(x,μ)ψ(x,μ)==∫−11k(x,μ,μ')ψ(x,μ')dμ'+q(x,μ)(1) where x: represents the spatial variable, μ: the cosine of the angle, ψ: the angular flux, h(x, μ): is the collision frequency, k(x, μ, μ'): the scattering kernel, q(x, μ): the source. The aim of this work is the straightforward application of the Krylov spaces technique [2] to the governing equation or to its discretizations derived of the discrete ordinates method (choosing a finite number of directions and then approximating the integral term by means of a proper sum). The equation (1) can be written in functional form as Aψ=q(2) with ψ in the Hilbert space L2 ([0,a] × [-1,1])., and q is the source function. The operator A˜ derived from a discrete ordinates scheme that approximates the operator Aψ=μ∂ψ∂x(x,μ)++h(x,μ)ψ(x,μ)−∫−11k(x,μ,μ')ψ(x,μ')dμ'(3) generates the following subspace K'''(A˜,q)=Span{q,Aq˜,A˜2q,…,A˜m−1q}(4)i.e. the subspace generated by the iterations of order 0, 1, 2, ... , m−1 of the source function q. Two methods are specially outstanding, the Lanczos method to solve the problem given by equation (2) with certain boundary conditions, and the conjugate gradient method to solve the same problem with identical boundary conditions. We discuss and accelerate the basic iterative method [8]. An important conclusion is the generation of these methods to solve linear systems in Hilbert spaces, if verify the convergence conditions, which are outlined in this work. The first problem is a cubic domain with two regions, one with a source near the vertex at the origin and the shield region. In this case, the Cartesian planes (specifically 0<x<L, 0<y<L, 0<z<L) are reflexive boundaries and the rest faces of the cube are vacuum boundaries. The second problem has a geometry with three regions, one of the source, other is the void region and the third one is a shield domain.

The SETS II project facilitates a faster conversion to sustainable electrical operations in the ports of the Kattegat-Skagerrak Region. It aims at ensuring a green and flexible energy supply in port areas and a reduction in CO2 and particle emissions. The regional ports will be models, which can further contribute to the promotion of a full-scale sustainable transport system in the cross-border region. SETS II promotes cross-border and cross-sector cooperation in the region regarding new methods, approaches, and solutions related to port electrification. Cooperation has been conducted across university environments, public actors, business promotion organizations, local authorities, utilities, advisors and private companies. The project supports ports in preparing electrification plans with an accompanying strategy for implementation. It focuses on electrification and potential battery operation in maritime areas as well as technical service, business models, and financing models.

Abstract:
Interdepartmental Memorandum of Understanding (IMOU) 5170 between Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN), the Geological Survey of Canada (GSC) and Transport Canada Innovation Centre (TC-IC) aims to gain new insight into slow-moving landslides, and the influence of climate change, through testing conventional and emerging monitoring technologies. IMOU 5107 focuses on strategically important sections of the national railway network in the Thompson River valley, British Columbia (BC), and the Assiniboine River valley along the borders of Manitoba (MN) and Saskatchewan (SK). Results of this research are applicable elsewhere in Canada (e.g., the urban-rural-industrial landscapes of the Okanagan Valley, BC), and around the world where slow-moving landslides and climate change are adversely affecting critical socio-economic infrastructure. Open File 8931 outlines landslide mapping and changedetection monitoring protocols based on the successes of IMOU 5170 and ICL-IPL Project 202 in BC. In this region, ice sheets, glaciers, permafrost, rivers and oceans, high relief, and biogeoclimatic characteristics contribute to produce distinctive rapid and slow-moving landslide assemblages that have the potential to impact railway infrastructure and operations. Bedrock and drift-covered slopes along the transportation corridors are prone to mass wasting when favourable conditions exist. In high-relief mountainous areas, rapidly moving landslides include rock and debris avalanches, rock and debris falls, debris flows and torrents, and lahars. In areas with moderate to low relief, rapid to slow mass movements include rockslides and slumps, debris or earth slides and slumps, and earth flows. Slow-moving landslides include rock glaciers, rock and soil creep, solifluction, and lateral spreads in bedrock and surficial deposits. Research efforts lead to a better understanding of how geological conditions, extreme weather events and climate change influence landslide activity along the national railway corridor. Combining field-based landslide investigation with multi-year geospatial and in-situ time-series monitoring leads to a more resilient railway national transportation network able to meet Canada's future socioeconomic needs, while ensuring protection of the environment and resource-based communities from landslides related to extreme weather events and climate change. InSAR only measures displacement in the east-west orientation, whereas UAV and RTK-GNSS change-detection surveys capture full displacement vectors. RTK-GNSS do not provide spatial coverage, whereas InSAR and UAV surveys do. In addition, InSAR and UAV photogrammetry cannot map underwater, whereas boat-mounted bathymetric surveys reveal information on channel morphology and riverbed composition. Remote sensing datasets, consolidated in a geographic information system, capture the spatial relationships between landslide distribution and specific terrain features, at-risk infrastructure, and the environmental conditions expected to correlate with landslide incidence and magnitude. Reliable real-time monitoring solutions for critical railway infrastructure (e.g., ballast, tracks, retaining walls, tunnels, and bridges) able to withstand the harsh environmental conditions of Canada are highlighted. The provision of fundamental geoscience and baseline geospatial monitoring allows stakeholders to develop robust risk tolerance, remediation, and mitigation strategies to maintain the resilience and accessibility of critical transportation infrastructure, while also protecting the natural environment, community stakeholders, and Canadian economy. We propose a best-practice solution involving three levels of investigation to describe the form and function of the wide range of rapid and slow-moving landslides occurring across Canada that is also applicable elsewhere. Research activities for 2022 to 2025 are presented by way of conclusion.
