Full textEn el presente trabajo de investigación se estudió el estado actual y la tendencia en los últimos dos años de la gestión ecoeficiente en empresas del sector transporte terrestre de pasajeros del Perú. El estudio tuvo un enfoque cuantitativo, de alcance descriptivo y diseño no experimental longitudinal. Se estudiaron las tres empresas más representativas del sector, de un total de 434 empresas, que son las autorizadas para operar en el sector de transporte inter departamental en el Perú al año 2015. El trabajo fue estructurado en la gestión ecoeficiente de las empresas en relación a sus insumos, procesos y exsumos. Para ello, se identificó el compromiso por parte de las empresas con la gestión ecoeficiente, se conoció si se han adoptado buenas prácticas con la finalidad de reducir el consumo de insumos, la mejora de procesos y la reducción de los exsumos. Además de identificar si las acciones adoptadas han generado mejoras en el tema de ecoeficiencia en el sector de transporte terrestre inter departamental de pasajeros en el Perú. Finalmente se observó como conclusión principal que, si bien las empresas en estudio indicaron que han adoptado medidas para mejorar su gestión ecoeficiente, las mismas no se vieron reflejadas dentro de los indicadores de ecoeficiencia revisados
In this research, we want to present the current status and trends in the last three years of the management eco-efficient in land transport companies of peruvian passengers. This study had a quantitative approach, descriptive and longitudinal non-experimental design. The five most representative companies in the sector have been study, of a total of 434 companies, which are authorized to operate in the sector of interdepartmental transport in Peru in 2015. The work was structured in eco-efficient enterprise management in relation their inputs, processes and outputs. For this, first we had to identified the commitment by companies with eco-efficient management, met if best practices have been adopted in order to reduce consumption of inputs, process improvement and reducing outputs. In addition to identifying if the actions adopted have generated improvements in the theme of eco-efficiency in the sector interdepartmental land passenger transport in Peru. Finally, the main conclusion was that although the study indicated that companies have taken steps to improve their eco-efficient management, the same were not reflected in the revised eco-efficiency indicators

Full textLand freight transport is the main means of transporting goods in Peru, representing over 87% of global transported; mainly driven by the increase of projects in the country and the development of national road infrastructure which represents about 24,500 kilometers. Although presented an optimistic growth in services land freight transport in Peru, the concept of quality and its importance in the business are not yet perceived. Using the model of Benzaquen, it was considered appropriate to conduct the study from a descriptive approach. The data were obtained thanks to that we can access to a large database consisting mainly of customers of a heavy transport vehicles manufacturer; this data were analyzed using a quantitative approach. Finally it should be mentioned that the investigation has a transectional nature due the time used to collect the data needed for research. There is no history about data collected on the quality from the sector of land freight transport companies in in the country, therefore, the information provided is of importance as a representative sample for the universe of the group of customers of the trucks manufacturer where the database was used. For this purpose, surveys were conducted to owners, managers and those with influence or decision-making power, making use of electronic media, and personal interviews and phone calls. From the universe of 300 companies were able to obtain 57 duly completed surveys. From the results obtained statistical tools are applied to calculate the degree of reliability in each of the nine factors that form up the Total Quality Management. These factors are represented in the 35 survey questions randomly and use the data collection tool called Likert scale. As a result it was found that six of the nine factors analyzed reached minimum level of compliance to consider that the surveyed companies manage quality in their organizations, getting an average score higher than 3.5 and 3.68 according to the Likert scale, which account for more answers "agree ". It should be noted that only about 13% of our respondents indicated having quality management systems, however, the study confirms that the level of compliance of the factors of total quality management are satisfactory for our sample, because the Likert scale results confirm a majority in tendency to answer "OK" followed closely by "Neutral".

Full textA positive perception on service quality represents a competitive advantage, satisfied customers, recommendation and sustainability over time. This is why contemporary companies with vision put a lot of emphasis on prioritizing quality. Throughout history, several models have been proposed to measure the service quality, with SERVQUAL being the most accurate and accepted one. According to its theory, the service quality is the result of an evaluation process where the clients compare their perceptions in contrast to their expectations. Despite its proliferation at international level and application in various sectors, in terms of interprovincial land transport, in Peru there are few studies that apply this model. Therefore, this research seeks the validation of the application of SERVQUAL in a sector of great importance for the country, through a structured and validated questionnaire, as the theory indicates. Thus, the following research provides empirical evidence of the relationship between the expectation and the perception of each dimension of the SERVQUAL model. The results indicate that not all of them also have an impact on service quality in the sector, although there is a positive correlation between each one and total quality

Full textLa presente tesis desarrolla el plan estratégico de la empresa de Transportes GM Internacional S.A.C., que es una empresa familiar que brinda servicio de transporte interprovincial de pasajeros en la región centro del país, el presente trabajo plantea una propuesta de valor en la industria del transporte interprovincial de pasajeros para ser implementada por Transportes GM Internacional, en la que se busca asegurar el liderazgo de la empresa y su sostenibilidad mediante una mayor participación en el mercado y una mayor fidelización del cliente. La metodología aplicada es la del Proceso Estratégico planteado por D´Alessio (2008) en su libro El proceso estratégico: Un enfoque de gerencia, el cual tiene un desarrollo sistémico y secuencial, para levantar información se realizó una revisión exhaustiva en las publicaciones del sector transportes, se buscó información en la prensa escrita especializada y se efectuaron entrevistas a funcionarios de la empresa. De acuerdo al contexto y del análisis efectuado a Transportes GM Internacional, la empresa debe crecer y posicionarse en la región centro del país, y para lograrlo debe aplicar estrategias genéricas de liderazgo en costo y con estrategias específicas intensivas y de diversificación, debiendo invertir en infraestructura física y tecnológica, así como mejorar la calidad del servicio y garantizar su sostenibilidad en el tiempo
This thesis develops the strategic plan of the company Transportes GM International SAC, which is a family company that offers service of interprovincial passenger transport in the central region of the country, this paper presents a value proposition in the interprovincial transport passenger industry to be implemented by GM International SAC, in which it seeks to ensure the leadership of the Company and its sustainability through increasing the Market Share and a get a greater customer loyalty. The methodology used is the Strategic Process raised by Dr. Fernando D'Alessio Ipinza in his book "The Strategic Process, management approach" which has a systemic and sequential development; to lift information a comprehensive review was undertaken in the transport sector publications, information was sought in the specialized press, and interviews with company officials were made. Depending on the context and analysis conducted Transport GM International SAC, the company must grow and position in the central region of the country and to achieve this should apply generic strategies of leadership in cost and specific intensive and diversification strategies, having to invest in physical infrastructure and technology and improve service quality and ensure their sustainability over time

Full textThis work corresponds to the development of a Strategic Plan for the Company Transportes Caipo S.R.L., hereinafter Transportes CAIPO, which is dedicated to providing interprovincial land services as transportation of workers and goods or parcels. The present work exposes the external and internal analysis results of the company factors, through which opportunities, threats, strengths and weaknesses of major importance involving the company were identified. It details the vision to 2030 that the company aims to arrive, along with the mission that conveys what it does, with and for those who develop its business activities. CAIPO transports is projected to be a market leader of the La Libertad Region in The transport of people and parcels, through an optimal service, with a high level of security, with social responsibility and care of the environment. Through the vision the organizational interests and long-term objectives of the company were developed, which are: (a) achieve a customer satisfaction rate greater than 85%, (b) increase regional market share by 20%, (c) increase vehicle operational efficiency by 25%, (d) increase installed capacity by 50%, and (e) increase equity performance (ROE) to 20%. In order to achieve the long term vision and objectives, strategies are proposed to be implemented which are: (a) develop cost structure optimization projects, (b) increase installed fleet capacity; (c) develop new services in relation to interprovincial transport, (d) strengthen satisfaction, loyalty and repurchase among current consumers, (e) develop new transport services, and (f) develop the market with an emphasis on quality and safety.

Transportes León del Sur is a company that was born in Arequipa in 1985 and currently provides the interprovincial passenger transport service and the parcel delivery service. The company operates on 16 routes nationwide and focuses its operations in the south of Peru. It has been proposed as a vision for the company that by 2023 this will be one of the ten main passenger land transport companies in Peru in terms of sales, acting in a socially responsible manner, generating profitability for shareholders seeking customer satisfaction and maintaining a commitment to security, respecting the legal regulations that contribute to the growth of Peru. Likewise, the proposed mission for Transportes León del Sur is that the company seeks to connect people with their destinations around the national territory; working responsibly for the quality of its service and security, taking care of the impact on the community and the environment using a modern fleet with eco-efficient technology, always operating committed to the country's growth and the well-being of all our stakeholders; being the differentiation before its competitors, its main competitive advantage. This plan is the product of an exhaustive analysis of the external, internal and competitive environments of the company, whose result was the identification of the key success factors embodied in the matrices of External Factors (MEFE) and Matrix of Internal Factors (MEFI) ; from there the SWOT analysis (Strengths, Opportunities, Weaknesses and Threats) of the company was carried out; In addition, the long-term objectives were established, and with that the strategies to be implemented were chosen. According to the context and the analysis made to the company of Transportes F&E Transcom SA, the company must consider intensive strategies for market penetration and development. Full textThe following study develops the strategic plan for the interprovincial transport subsector in Piura which aims to boost its sustainable development and achieve a comprehensive approach for the interprovincial transport sector in the next 15 years. Piura is a region that exports fishmeal, lemons, bananas, vegetable oils, mangoes, grapes and scallops; also it exports agricultural raw materials, mining industry, hydrocarbons, construction, tourism and gastronomy. All these activities have allowed Piura to grow economically in the last few years; however, the interprovincial passenger transport subsector (buses) has not grown at the same rate. This has brought about weaknesses to develop in the economic, social and environmental factors. This subsector has possibilities of growing in a sustainable manner and also regionally; nevertheless there are limitations that must be overcome, such as the growth of the informal market, the lack of strategic vision of the interprovincial transport companies, the high operating costs and the inadequate regulation of the interprovincial transport law. After the analysis of the identified forces, a generic competitive strategy focusing on costs is suggested, notwithstanding the quality, security and protection of the environment. This strategy will allow us the reaching of the proposed vision for the interprovincial passenger transport in Piura. In order to implement this strategic plan the following elements are required: (a) investment grade, (b) infrastructure, (c) regulatory laws for the environment, (d) the enforcement of strong measures to fight the informal sector, and (e) the integration of all the stakeholders in interprovincial transport, under an organism that will allow strategies to be developed and decisions to be taken jointly. The creation of a cluster will therefore allow an improvement in the competitiveness and profitability of the interprovincial passenger subsector in the Piura region.

Full textCurrently, the quality of the transport of passengers sector in Perú is not very developed limiting the growth and development of the sector; proof of this is the growing amount of traffic accidents, even with the loss of human life, indicating the poor quality of the transport service. Therefore, this thesis, based on the research of the passenger transport sector is of utmost importance, because it generated objective knowledge of the main problems affecting these enterprises, making appropriate use of quantitative research tools, that allowed us to formulate recommendations for promoting sustainable development and develop a comprehensive approach that will help the development of this sector in the next years. These recommendations issued, would not be possible without the correct application of the Total quality management (TQM), which is a set of values and attitudes that have to be adopted and put into practice as a new mode of organization and business life, comprising the leadership of senior management, the training of workers, as well as honors and rewards. Another important aspect is the use of ISO, always focused on the customer, the AMOFHIT internal analysis indicated the status of the transportation of passengers sector allowing us to have a global vision of the sector. According to the sample, it is concluded that this is not a sector that has systems of quality management (13.7% of the sample has ISO 9000), however we observed some factors with relevant averages, such as audit and evaluation of quality, and others that need to be improved, such as education and training.

Full textThis research was conducted with the aim of identifying the level of compliance of the TQM’s factors for the freight sector in metropolitan Lima. In order to achieve this goal, a descriptive study was designed, with quantitative approach, surveying 53 freight companies. This sample was randomly selected from a population of 250 organizations dedicated to freight transport only by road. Researches identify this population from a list of 20,383 companies registered within the Ministerio de Transporte y Comunicaciones (MTC) in metropolitan Lima, considering only those with more than 17 vehicle units, specifically trucks or tugs for transporting solids, liquids and gaseous. From users of freight services’ perspective, quality is defined by the combination of delivery times, reliability and price (Ministerio de Transporte y Comunicaciones, 2005). While after a literature review, it was possible to define quality as the ability of an organization to meet the requirements of its customers by standardizing their processes to be efficient in the use of resources by avoiding unproductive and losses. Data was collected using TQM (Benzaquen, 2013) questionnaire, which is based on nine factors of quality: (a) senior management, (b) quality planning, (c) audit and quality assessment, (d ) product design, (e) quality management of suppliers, (f) control and process improvement, (g) education and training, (h) quality circles, and (i) focus on customer satisfaction. The study results indicate that the level of quality within the freight companies of Lima is low, averaging between 3.25 and 3.68. The lowest value was in the quality circles, and increased control and process improvement because preventive maintenance is given to vehicle units.

Full textThe objective of this research is to identify the best practices implemented to achieve operational efficiency in companies that offer land transportation of liquid fuels in Peru. For the purposes of the study, best practices are understood as those activities that systematically implemented generate outstanding results; with the characteristic that they can be adapted to different companies and even in different industries. An exploratory research was designed, since no similar studies were found in Peru or in the land transportation sector of fuels; but it is also non-experimental and has a descriptive scope because it seeks to characterize or describe best practices and since this was done with information gathered between July and August 2018, the study is also defined as transectional. A qualitative approach, using the multiple case analysis method has been appropriate to gather information from four companies that operate with a national scope within the sector; for which an interview guide with open questions was used. After processing the information collected using the Atlas Ti, results were presented and this allowed us to conclude that good common practices in the industry are: (a) development of contingency plans for accidents or spills, (b) establish consumption controls for fuel per route, per unit and / or per driver, (c) establish management indicators, (d) manage unit monitoring by GPS, (e) measure and manage stress, (f) establish driving schedules, ( g) implement preventive maintenance plans, (h) carry out personnel integration programs, (i) implement plans and training programs; among others. On the other hand, a good practice that was identified with the development of this research was the use of technological tools for the monitoring of driving and of the units, but it is not spread among all the companies.

Full textTourism is present in different economic activities, driving the development of localities and countries, offers travelers different types of tourism and also different activities for each type. In Perú, the tourist offer is varied by the numerous natural and cultural attractions that it has. While the growth rate of tourists is not exponential, it is vital to find the means to scale up without jeopardizing tourist attractions and their surroundings. Machu Picchu, the destination through which more tourists visit the country; However, one of the most challenging factors is transportation. Points, such as: roads and infrastructure, means of transportation, costs and service provided, are a matter of debate. That is why the expansion of the transportation system is considered the most efficient option; and that it must generate a positive impact on tourism. In order to obtain the adequate information, which allows analyzing and interpreting results, it was decided to use in-depth interviews and questionnaires in segments involved with the tourism sector. The findings found direct attention in seeking the sustainable development of tourism and quality in all tourist activity. Finally, it is concluded that the expansion of the transport system has a positive impact on receptive tourism; However, attention should be directed to developing other tourist attractions so as not to saturate one of the most important patrimonies of humanity.

Pretende probar que la estrategia de penetración influye en las exportaciones agrícolas de la Macrorregión Sur del Perú (MRS) al Brasil por vía terrestre. Con este fin, se aplicaron el coeficiente de correlación de rangos de Spearman y otros instrumentos como entrevistas a profundidad, revisión documental y el ábaco de Regnier a diecisiete expertos en desarrollo regional, comercio agrícola y comercio internacional. La hipótesis general señalaba que la estrategia de penetración influye en las exportaciones agrícolas. La principal conclusión comprobó que influye. A nivel de las hipótesis específicas, se comprobó que cada una de las acciones estratégicas que componen la estrategia influye en las exportaciones de productos agrícolas de la MRS al Brasil por vía terrestre.

Full textThe purpose of the present investigation is to determine the limiting factors of the use of the southern interoceanic highway in the commercial exchange between the southern region of Peru with Brazil and Bolivia, whose specific objectives are: to determine if the quality of the infrastructure has been a limiting in the use of the interoceanic South highway by peruvian companies; determine if the cost of infrastructure has been a limitation in the use of the interoceanic south highway by peruvian companies; determine if the related services have been a limitation in the use of the interoceanic south highway by Peruvian companies; determine if the triad: Infrastructure-Transport-Logistics has been a limitation in the use of the south interoceanic highway by peruvian companies; determine if the Role of the State has been a limitation in the use of the South Interoceanic Highway by Peruvian companies. To this end, a type of descriptive-explanatory qualitative research was conducted, through in-depth interviews, as a data collection technique, which were applied to representatives of the public sector of the following institutions: MTC, MINCETUR, PROMPERU, COMEX and ADEX; and from the private sector, from the following companies: AC Prologistic Peru, Yura, São João, Derteano & Stucker and Odebrecht. Full textThis research proposes to discover to what extent it is feasible to buy steel slag to replace the aggregate material, through the economic analysis of ground transport. Steel slag is not widely used in Peru and it is not known how the cost of freight affects the total cost in the different regions of Peru. Nine routes were proposed from the 3 steel plants in Peru, 3 for each of them. Cities farther and farther away were iterated until the cost of steel slag is similar in price to that of aggregates. Six feasible routes were found, covering almost the entire coast of Peru and some cities in the highlands.

Full textNowadays, Peru continues to develop in foreign trade, this is where the importance of improving the traceability processes in the logistics chain arises, in this way having a better control, thus minimizing risks and not endangering any organization or even the same country for reasons of unreported goods. That is why a technological tool is offered, such as the electronic device, which will contribute to the processes of cargo control and security. The general purpose of the investigation is to know the reason why in Peru has not yet been implemented the use of the electronic device for the transport of land cargo in the International Customs Transit regime within South America. In some countries this type of electronic device is already used for the real-time location of the transport units through a control system, which allows a correct traceability in the operation. In the first chapter the theoretical framework is detailed, starting from the general to the specific topic of research. In the second chapter the necessary segments for the present work were identified, in addition a number of questions grouped into categories were conducted, which through in-depth interviews allowed obtaining necessary information for the investigation. After obtaining the interviews of our selected segments, in the third chapter all the information collected was analyzed, obtaining results by segment and category. In the fourth chapter, the discussion of results for each category is presented, and finally the conclusions and recommendations of the topic studied are detailed.
