Abstract:
A 41-year-old man presented with an 8-year history of recurrent mouth ulcers, previously treated with unrecalled antibiotics and vitamins but with no relief. Examination showed a 2.0 x 1.0 cm hard, immovable ulcer at the right lateral tongue. On further interview, a history of repeated biting trauma on the site of the lesion was elicited. The clinical impression was a non-healing tongue ulcer. Incision biopsy of the lesion was performed and the specimen sent for histopathologic evaluation.
The specimen consisted of three, cream-tan, irregularly-shaped soft tissues measuring up to 0.9 cm

Trauma within the oral cavity is one of the common incidence of occurrence which can be an inducer as well as propagator for wide range of oral lesion of diverse course. A unique combination of formation of granulomatous lesion with reactive eosinophilic stromal infiltration in response of trauma is “traumatic ulcerative granuloma with stromal eosinophilia (TUGSE)”. It is a reactive, infrequent, self-limiting condition of oral mucosa. The commonly involved site and the clinical presentation might click to suspect it as a lesion of oral cancer. Abstract:
Riga-Fede disease (RFD), also known as traumatic eosinophilic granuloma, is a benign inflammatory condition of the oral cavity that may mimic a malignant tumour. It’s a rare condition mainly reported in infants. We present a unique case report of a 57-year-old man who presented to our outpatient department with foreign body sensation in the throat and swelling over the dorsum of the tongue for a period of 1 month. He gave no history of trauma, especially due to sharp teeth. Video laryngoscopy done revealed an ulceroproliferative growth on the midline of the dorsum of the tongue. With clinical

Abstract:
Most of the oral ulcers are traumatic in origin due to sharp tooth and self bite. Traumatic ulcerative granuloma with stromal eosinophilia is a chronic benign lesion of the oral mucosa with uncertain histogenesis. Trauma was proposed to be an inciting factor.
A series of four cases of Traumatic Ulcerative Granuloma with Stromal Eosinophilia in the lateral borders of the tongue were analyzed regarding oral hygiene, sharp tooth, clinical presentation, histology, and follow-up. The lesion manifests as a small solitary ulcer with induration in the oral mucosa mimicking malignancy. Histology
