Full textThis doctoral thesis presents a program of hand made work to be performed by mentally deficient children who, nevertheless, possess some intellectual and physical abilities. The aim is to prepare them for a future apprenticeship, which, later on, will make their integration in professional life easier. This program has been put into practice at the Medical Educative Institute (IME) "Les Ajoncs d'Or" (Montfort, France), using the following materials: pearls thread and felt. Progressively, the children have mastered all the required techniques connected with these operations. An evaluation of their qualification and progress has been made prior to and after the end of the program. On the whole, the results have been quite satisfactory and have confirmed the hypothesis of the research

Full textThis research work focuses on the origin and evolution of a school subject based on handicrafts and/or technical education. A historical study allows to place the origins of handicrafts in general education,its characteristics and those of the teachers. A brief insight into professional technical education proved necessary to grasp its articulation with technical education within general education. A choser study of the 1970-1990 period at secondary school,brings out thetwo most recent: changes: *from handicrafts to crafts and technical education in 1975. * from crafts and technical education to technology in 1985. These changes are, inboth cases, the result of a reflection on the educational system and in particular on the reciprocal influence between education and society, technical culture,school and careers guidance. Thus will be brought out,over those periods of changes of structures, the educational value of handicrafts, the new orientation of crafts and technical education,the cultural aspect of technology wished for,and the ministerial arguments evoked to justify the redrafting of a school subject. The last chapters setting off from outhined problematics on the notion of school subject,describe today's technology and question on the hopes of stabilization

Full textThe Chinese students in second year of bachelor degree whose major is French have to take a national exam: the TFS4 (national test of French as a major level 4). This exam is important: it can help students to find a job since it is written on their résumé and it also permits to know their level no matter how is the university they come from: prestigious or not. During our research, we did not find any textbook available in China that can help students to prepare the writing part of TFS4. So, how can we help students to improve this competence in order to succeed better in this national exam? In the universities, our writing class permitted to test our hypothesis. Otherwise, classes from other teachers have been watched and students as well as some teachers answered to questionnaires in order to know their opinion about the preparation. From these results, we designed a method as well as revision cards adapted to the level and needs of this specific public

Full textThe thesis refers to French as a foreign language with specific objectives, in the case of the profession of tourist guide. Its purpose is the presentation of an educational software program aimed at training learners of French wishing to become local guides for francophone tourists – and providing computer assistance to do so. A second purpose is to experiment such a software program. It had been tested with Mahasarakham University students according to the standard criterion 80/80 by comparing their acquisition of knowledge with its use. Their attitudes towards using this software, as well as their assessments, were identified and analyzed. This software was tested in several stages. Its efficiency was graded 80. 80/84. 75, which is higher than the standard statistical criterion determined by 80/80. The average of the grades obtained before and after testing is significantly different at the p. 01 threshold. The attitude of students towards this educational software program has been positive. Such results show that this software program of French for tourist guides is fully effective. It will enrich the linguistic abilities of Thai students in the Mahasarakham University in Thailand. It could be a computer – based alternative resource facilitating language and vocational training programs with specific objectives. It is accessible not only to learners who wish to improve their knowledge in this area, but also to teachers wishing to discover an outstanding support tool to their own teaching, adapted to the pace of each individual learner. More broadly, it opens on a new conception of learning and teaching focused on the learners
