The molluscs of the Travný Natural reserve were studied during 2007. Altogether, 35 species (33 land and 2 freshwater snails) were recorded. The eastern part of the reserve was found to be the most preserved and favorable for molluscs. Two species are very interesting from ecological and faunal point of view: Vitrea transsylvanica and Eucobresia nivalis, which are ranked as endangered in the Red List of the Czech molluscs.

Energy demand is expected to grow further. Given increased environmental concerns, natural gas will have a heightened role in the future. In 2006, natural gas constituted 22.9% of the global energy mix and this is forecasted to increase annually by 1.6%. The industry will need to tap unconventional resources primarily from CSG reserves. Given the high cost environment seen in the industry in recent years, coupled with the current global economic recession, delays in FID decisions will mean a tight market situation post-2014. Introduction Like many cities, Perth was founded on wetlands that have been integral to its history and culture (Seddon 226–32). However, in order to promote a settlement agenda, early mapmakers sought to erase the city’s wetlands from cartographic depictions (Giblett, Cities). Since the colonial era, inner-Perth’s swamps and lakes have been drained, filled, significantly reduced in size, or otherwise reclaimed for urban expansion (Bekle). N
