Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), characterized by repetitive thoughts (obsessions) and behaviors (compulsions), is a leading cause of health-related disability in the world. Various kinds of obsessions and compulsions exist and tend to co-occur in dimensions (e.g., doubting/checking, symmetry/ordering, contamination/cleaning). Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) consisting of exposure and response (ritual) prevention (ERP) is arguably the safest and most efficacious treatment for OCD. ERP involves exposing OCD patients to stimuli that provoke obsessions while coaching them to not ritualize.

Background. Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) is a common, chronic, and impairing psychiatric disorder that often begins in childhood or adolescence. Early identification and treatment of OCD is important to prevent a cascade of developmental disruptions lasting into adulthood. The 2012 American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) Practice Parameter recommends cognitive behavioral therapy that incorporates exposure and response prevention (ERP) as a first-line treatment for mild-to-moderate OCD in youth and recommends combined treatment with ERP (if feasible) and a selective s

Abstract:
Harmful algal blooms (HABs) and coastal hypoxic zones are evidence of cultural nutrient enrichment affecting public health and water supplies, aquatic ecosystem health, and economic well-being in the United States. Recognition of the far-reaching impacts of Midwest agriculture has led to establishing nutrient reduction objectives for surface waters feeding the Gulf of Mexico, Lake Erie, and many smaller water bodies. Municipal nutrient enrichment impacts have been addressed by increasing levels of sewage treatment and waste management through the Clean Water Act era, but HABs rebounded in the

Abstract:
Postweld heat treatments originally were applied to improve the strength and toughness of the weld. Recent information has indicated that postweld heat treatments also can have a significant effect on the resistance of the weld line to selective corrosion in service. The objective of the present investigation was to gain a better understanding of the effects of postweld heat treatments on both weld ductility and resistance to selective corrosion so as to aid pipe users in the selection of pipe for optimum serviceability.

Abstract:
Grooving corrosion is a phenomenon by which the weld seam of electric resistance welded (ERW) pipe is preferentially attacked in wet natural gas environments containing CO,. The attack initiates as an aligned string of pits which grow and intersect, forming a round-bottomed groove of damage centered on the weld seam. The susceptibility of ERW pipe to this damage mechanism is known to be related to the chemical composition (particularly the sulfur content) of the pipe, the welding process employed, and the use of a post weld heat treatment. Of particular concern to the natural gas pipeline indu

While the general fracture mechanics methodology for calculating fatigue lives is well documented and validated, its application in the definition of pipeline system fatigue lives have differed from field experience. The source and magnitude of the conservatism inherent in the calculated fatigue life estimates are a concern when establishing integrity management programs. Of particular interest, are the fatigue life estimates used in the integrity management programs for Electric resistance welding (ERW) pipeline systems that are primarily concerned with pipe wall anomalies oriented along the
