Additive manufacturing (AM) is an approach in which a model designed by CAD can be produced directly after layering. AM has high flexibility and the ability to make parts with the required final properties. One of the technologies used to produce metal parts using AM is the Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM), which is becoming attractive to various industries due to its cheapness and high production speed. One of the challenges for producing HSLA steel built by WAAM is to moderate its microstructure brittleness, resulting from reasonable fast cooling rates of the multiple deposited layers.
