Abstract:
We have made an extensive study of New Zealand representatives of nematodes from the family Tripylidae de Man, 1876. Based on SSU DNA sequence data and phylogenetic analysis, the genera Tripylina Brzeski, 1964 and Trischistoma Cobb, 1913 are not closely related to Tripyla Bastian, 1865, the type genus of the family Tripylidae de Man 1876. The genus Tripylina is sister to Trischistoma and Trefusia de Man, 1893 and is more closely related to Enoplida than to Triplonchida. Our phylogenetic results indicate that Tripylina should be placed in Enoplida.

Meiobenthic community structure was investigated at different spatial scales (from 100 metres to centimetres) on and adjacent to a group of coral-topped sandy mounds in the bathyal north-east Atlantic (Darwin Mounds, Rockall Trough) and related to the environmental conditions in the area, mainly differences in sediment organic carbon content and presence of biogenic structures. Meiobenthos abundances were similar to those observed in other deep-sea sites, with nematodes representing at least 94% of the total community. The dominant nematode genera were Microlaimus, followed by Sabatieria, Rich

Abstract:
Two new species of the family Trefusiidae, viz., Trefusia piperata sp. nov. and Trefusialaimus idrisi sp. nov., are described from the crest of the Chatham Rise, Southwest Pacific Ocean (350 m water depth). The present study provides the first species records for this family in the region. Trefusia and Trefusialaimus comprise twenty and three valid species, respectively. A key to males of Trefusia is provided.

AbstractIn order to provide the first comparative source of nematofaunal data at the oxic/anoxic interface off the Sinop Peninsula, the southern Black Sea, a survey of meiofauna and nematode fauna was conducted in August 2011 aboard the exploration vessel (E/V) Nautilus with ROV during the Black Sea Expedition NA012. Higher meiofaunal taxa and nematode composition were investigated. Free-living marine nematodes were the most abundant group at each site. A total of 84 species were found, belonging to 23 families. The suboxic zone was dominated by the nematode Trefusia aff. longicauda (42%). Thi

Abstract:
This thesis shows how the notion of androgyny works in the fiction of Violet Trefusis. It also posits her writing in connection to some novels by Vita Sackville-West and Virginia Woolf. Working within a theoretical framework provided by Julia Kristeva's psychoanalytical theory this thesis focusses on and seeks to redress the traditional conceptualization of androgyny providing a notion of the androgyne more in accordance to Woolf's androgynous ideal. The androgyne is understood in this thesis as a carnivalesque figure that disrupts the patriarchal system of hierarchical binary oppositions. Cha

Abstract:
Abstract The years following the end of Sackville-West’s relationship with Trefusis were a time of adjustment and consolidation. Having caused great scandal by her elopement, Sackville-West returned to Nicolson and, with him, devoted much energy to the stemming of the publicity she had created. Like her autobiographical writing, her life would now be a continual negotiation of the relationship between pleasure, privacy, and openness. This chapter will explore the way this nexus is represented in some of her later, more popular novels.
