Abstract:
ABSTRACTEnzymes involved in oxidation of long-chainn-alkanes are still not well known, especially those in Gram-positive bacteria. This work describes the alkane degradation system of then-alkane degrader actinobacteriumGordoniasp. strain SoCg, which is able to grow onn-alkanes from dodecane (C12) to hexatriacontane (C36) as the sole C source. SoCg harbors in its chromosome a singlealklocus carrying six open reading frames (ORFs), which shows 78 to 79% identity with the alkane hydroxylase (AH)-encoding systems of other alkane-degrading actinobacteria. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a gram-negative opportunistic bacterium that is a concern worldwide due to its innate antibiotic resistance properties. This warrants the development of non-antibiotic compounds that can potentially address the growing concern. Therefore, it is of interest to document the molecular docking analysis data of three long-chain alkanes, namely, eicosane, triacontane, and nonadecane with β-lactamase BEL-1. Data shows that nonadecane have good binding features and drug-likeness when compared to triacontane and nonadecane. It is well known that nonadecane is a compound that i

Abstract:
Abstract In a natural environment plant growth and differentiation are regulated by a number of structurally unrelated chemical signals arising from a single ecosystem. Signalling is, in general, a sophisticated process that starts with the specific perception of a natural product, either endogenous or extracellular, followed by a transduction pathway that eventually leads to a physiological response. Among endogenous plant metabolites, those belonging to the five recognized groups of phytohormones, auxins, gibberellins, cytokinins, abscisic acid, and ethylene, are ubiquitous growth regulators

Triacontane (C30H62, TC), Stearic acid (C18H36O2, SA) and Behenyl Lignocerate (C46H92O2, BL) form crystals at temperatures, T, lower than T = TTC* = 64-67 °C (TC), TSA* = 70 °C (SA) and TBL* >80 °C (BL) respectively. In the region, T less than T* these systems undergo other phase transitions. Small angle X-ray scattering at T = 20 °C, showed narrow principal lines and their reflections for q-values. Thus, TC exhibited a sequence for q = 0.18, 0.36 and 0.53 Å─1. This yielded a repeat distance for TC monolayers of LTC = 2π/q = 34.9 Å. In addition, values of LSA = 39.3 Å and LBL = 52
