Abstract:
This is a new study that shows how the process of strengthening patriotism in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, based on Pondok Pesantren Al-Azhar Menganti Gresik, is being carried out. The significance of this study can be seen in various issues concerning patriotism education for good citizens in countries such as Singapore, Japan, and Belgium. The researcher used a qualitative research method with a case study approach, in-depth interviews, and comprehensive analysis through condensation data, data display, and conclusions to arrive at the conclusion that Madrasah Ibtidaiyah's process of strengthening patriotism can shape students' personalities through several programmes. Parents and the madrasah worked together. According to Albert Bandura's triadic reciprocal determinism social learning theory, all elements play a reciprocal role in the process of strengthening the patriotism personality in students.

Abstract:
This qualitative study aims at investigating Saudi English language learners' self-efficacy activation factors. Seventy-eight participants were recruited through random sampling wherein 46 belonged to English department, 20 belonged to Computer Science department, and 12 were enrolled in Business Management Diploma at King Khalid University, Saudi Arabia. Initially, classroom observation was carried out to identify the items for the unstructured questionnaire. Unstructured questionnaire and interviews were employed as the main data generation tools. Content analysis was employed to the participants' self-efficacious discourse derived from the data which revealed three main themes: 1) ideological beliefs activated learners’ self-efficacy; 2) good management of time improved language learning outcomes; and 3) teachers’ active role in engaging the learners in language practicing sessions and in LMS activated their self-efficacy. Bandura's triadic reciprocal determinism framework was incorporated in the analysis and discussion of the participants' discourse in relation to the emerged themes. The twofold analysis revealed learners' ideological beliefs as the main psychological factor; time management as the main personal factor; and learners' engagement in technologically assisted learning (LMS) as the main environmental factor that constituted learners' reciprocal determinism for achieving the language learning outcomes.

Abstract:
Based on triadic reciprocal determinism, in this study, we adopted the fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) method to conduct configuration analysis on the factors that influence the continuous use of knowledge payment platforms and explain the mechanism of the configuration effect of different influencing factors. The research included six casual variables: perceived value, platform quality, satisfaction, trust, subjective norms, and habits. Continuous use intention and continuous use behavior were used as the outcome variables. By discussing the action paths of six casual variables on two outcome variables, it is suggested that the operators of knowledge payment platforms should select different influencing factor configuration paths to improve the service and promote the continuous use of the knowledge payment platform by users.

Abstract:
The Problem Albert Bandura has refined a theory of human agency with three modes and four core properties within social cognitive theory. Human agency plays a critical role in one’s adaptation, self-development, and self-renewal. Despite its relevance to human resource development (HRD), human agency theory has not been explored or effectively utilized in HRD research and practice. The Solution Following Bandura’s human agency theory, a translational and implementational model for HRD was proposed. First, the model integrated the four core properties of human agency (intentionality, forethought, self-reactiveness, and self-reflectiveness) into a model by altering the sequence to align with major HRD processes. Second, it synthesized triadic reciprocal determinism with the four core properties of human agency by placing the agent at the center of the model. Third, it is an open systems model that describes reciprocal determinism between the agent and the environment at micro, meso, and macro levels, indicating the dynamics of personal, proxy, and collective agency. The Stakeholders The model will be useful for career practitioners, coaches, organization development consultants, and other HRD professionals who deliver interventions. HRD researchers and theorists may find it worthwhile to test and validate the model. In addition, regardless of disciplines, researchers, and practitioners who follow social cognitive theory may find some insights from the translational model.

Abstract:
We formulated a conceptual model based on triadic reciprocal determinism theory, to explain the relationships among organizational innovative climate, employee work involvement, creativity, and innovative performance. We used data from 5,242 employees at science and technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Tianjin, China. Results of the structural equation modeling show that (a) employee innovative performance is a function of three determinants, namely, employee work involvement and creativity, and organizational innovative climate; (b) employee work involvement and creativity mediated between organizational innovative climate and employee innovative performance; and (c) employee creativity was the strongest predictor of innovative performance. The results of importance-performance map analysis indicate that team building was a specific weakness. Our results contribute to a better understanding of the factors affecting employee innovative performance, and the internal mechanism underlying the above relationships. Our results identify weaknesses in the enterprises' organizational climate, and we recommend how to improve performance.

Abstract:
This study explores undergraduate engineering and education students’ perspectives on their interdisciplinary teams throughout the rapid transition to online learning and instruction from a face-to-face to a virtual format. In this qualitative study, students’ reflections and focus groups from three interdisciplinary collaborations were analyzed using the lens of Social Cognitive Theory. COVID-19 created a dramatic change in the environment such that the most immediate and direct impact on students’ experiences was on the environmental aspects of Bandura’s triadic reciprocal determinism model, which then triggered behavioral and personal responses to adapt to the new environment. Subsequent evidence of reciprocal effects between environmental, behavioral, and personal factors took place as students continued to adapt. Results suggest that the modifications made to transition the project fully online were meaningful experiences for students’ learning and teaching of engineering through teams. This interdisciplinary partnership provided both pre-service teachers and undergraduate engineering students with the opportunity to learn and practice content and professional skills that will be essential for success in future work environments.

Abstract:
The distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine represents a path towards global health after a worldwide pandemic. Yet, the U.S. response to the vaccination rollout has been politically polarized. The aim of this paper is to contribute to the understanding of the contextual factors that influence parents’ attitudes towards health officials and their intention to vaccinate children, focusing on communication behaviors, personal factors, and geographic locations. We use Bandura’s triadic reciprocal determinism (TRD) model which posits reciprocal influence between personal factors, environmental factors, and behaviors. We found that personal factors (having younger children and identifying as Republican partisans), and the behavioral factor of conservative news use were significantly related to more negative attitudes towards health officials and lower vaccination intentions. Conversely, Democrats and liberal news use were significantly related to warmer attitudes and greater vaccination intentions. The environmental factor of geographic location across four states with different partisan dynamics was not significantly related to attitudes and behavioral intentions. Results from a post-hoc analysis show that news media use and partisanship were the strongest correlates of parents’ attitudes towards health officials. This evidence points to the politicization of the COVID-19 vaccine being a key consideration regarding vaccine uptake.

Abstract:
This chapter aims to investigate teaching strategies aimed at enhancing Chinese international students' effective verbal communication in Australian universities. To do so, this study applies collective autoethnography to give the chance to the three authors (who are themselves Chinese students) to narrate their stories. Based on their experiences, this study builds a conceptual framework based on Bandura's triadic reciprocal determinism to explore the triadic reciprocal interaction between verbal communication, self-realization, and teaching and learning environment. Then, thematic analysis is applied to explore the diversities and similarities of their experiences in terms of the three elements/themes. By analyzing and examining each theme, this chapter uncovers the dynamic and reciprocal interrelationships between them on the basis of the three authors' voices, providing suggestions for further improvement on teaching strategies for international students' verbal communication.

Abstract:
Based on the triadic reciprocal determinism and the achievement goal theory, this study reconstructed two theories in the existing experimental curriculum—— “Practice knowledge experimental class” for broadcasting and hosting art majors in a college in Chongqing, China. The quasi-experimental method and purposive sampling were used in this study, and 14 undergraduates in the “Practice knowledge experimental class” were selected as subjects. During the first phase (from the first to the fourth week) of the course, a questionnaire was distributed to each student, and the time series analysis method was used to analyze the data with SPSS. During the second phase of the course, MAXQDA software was used to analyze the subject coding according to quantified outcomes. Quantitative and qualitative data were analyzed to explore the effect of the curriculum plan of the “Practice knowledge experimental class.” The results showed that the curriculum can help students to improve their self-efficacy, interest, and value of learning, and had an impact on students’ engagement and learning anxiety. At the same time, the study found that students’ performance was related to the other factors emerging in the process of program implementation. The curriculum scheme of the “Practice knowledge experimental class” had succeeded where students’ learning motivation and learning behaviors were aimed to stimulate through achievement goals.

Abstract:
This chapter explores the transformative role of academic coaching in developing metacognitive skills and promoting self-regulated learning and learning autonomy. The facets of self-awareness, self-observation, and self-reflection are explored using Bandura’s Social Cognitive Theory (SCT), Triadic Reciprocal Determinism (TRC), and Vygotsky’s Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD). The chapter highlights how academic coaching is strategically implemented with learners by co-creating a space to explore and understand their learning processes. Academic coaching is recommended during student interactions in mentoring, advising, and tutoring sessions. The primary aim is to demonstrate how academic coaching cultivates a deepened self-awareness and a growth mindset, essential for effective self-regulation. The chapter unveils how coaching can help students identify and assess their cognitive and emotional patterns, particularly during challenging situations. When students become aware of their thinking process, they can shift from passive recipients of knowledge to active, self-regulated learners and empowered decision-makers with the autonomy to take action.

Abstract:
Social cognitive theory is founded on the belief that learning is shared socially. Triadic reciprocal determinism explains the interrelationship and interaction between environmental cues, behavior, and biological determinants to shape and alter the perception of the self and how individuals assume agentic perspectives in social interactions to approach challenges and pursue goals. Knowing how learners perceived their likelihood to achieve success also provides for a better understanding of the constraints and opportunities of a proposed learning solution. The purpose of this study was to explore the self-efficacy beliefs of adolescents as part of the analysis of the learners in the instructional design system (ISD) model in terms of entry behaviors for the design of a peer tutoring learning environment. The General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSE) was used to interview participants, using the questions as open-ended questions. Observations of the social interactions between participants were collected during focus groups to discuss their responses to the GSE scale. The results of this study suggested that individuals with high self-efficacy not only assume a direct personal agentic perspective when acting alone but that they also assume and motivate others to engage in a collective agentic perspective. Individuals with low self-efficacy assume proxy or surrogate agentic perspectives in social interactions and require prompting to engage and participate. High self-efficacy indicates effective collaboration through the collective agency, which affects success positively in a peer tutoring learning environment. Low self-efficacy affects negatively success in peer tutoring, because individuals with low self-efficacy assume a proxy or surrogate agentic perspective detaching themselves from the interactions. However, individuals with low self-efficacy, through prompting and motivation from peers with high self-efficacy can improve their interactions and as goals are reached, improve self-efficacy.
