Abstract:
(1) Background: Mitochondrial genomes are important markers for the study of phylogenetics and systematics. Triozidae includes some primary pests of Populus euphratica. The phylogenetic relationships of this group remain controversial due to the lack of molecular data. (2) Methods: Mitochondria of Egeirotrioza Boselli were sequenced and assembled. We analyzed the sequence length, nucleotide composition, and evolutionary rate of Triozidae, combined with the 13 published mitochondrial genomes. (3) Results: The evolutionary rate of protein-coding genes was as follows: ATP8 > ND6 > ND5 >

The tomato/potato psyllid Bactericera cockerelli (Sulc) (Hemiptera Triozidae) is found throughout most of New Zealand along with a range of native and other introduced psyllids all belonging to the superfamily Psylloidea The Psylloidea contains six families of which four are recorded from New Zealand (Psyllidae Calophyidae Homotomidae and Triozidae) Species belonging to Triozidae have trifurcate branching on the basal vein of the forewing in contrast to the other psyllid families in New Zealand which have bifurcate branching Bactericera cockerelli can be distinguished from other Triozidae spec

Abstract:
The endemic Hawaiian mealybug genus Phyllococcus Ehrhorn (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha: Pseudococcidae) was erected in 1916 as a monotypic genus for a gall-inducing mealybug collected on the island of Oahu on Urera sandwicensis (now referred to genus Touchardia) (Urticaceae) in 1911. The species induces deep horn-shaped galls on the leaves of the host plant. Here we redescribe the adult female and adult male of Ph. oahuensis (Ehrhorn) and designate a lectotype; and we report a new record for Ph. oahuensis from the island of Maui. Additionally, we describe the adult female and second- and third-insta

The free-living psyllids and aphids are associated with leaves galled by T walkeri to varying extents, ranging from obligate, through showing a preference for feeding on galled leaves, to showing no significant association.
