Abstract:
Employee trip reduction demonstration projects were organized by the Chicago Area Transportation Study, the metropolitan planning organization in the Chicago area. This paper is based on an independent evaluation of the demonstration projects. The primary source of data for this evaluation was a series of interviews conducted with program administrators and employee trip coordinators at each organization that participated in the demonstration. Voluntary costs, which are costs incurred to implement an employee trip reduction program without the necessity to comply with government regulation, are estimated. The average demonstration organization was able to reduce solo driving rates by 5.5 percentage points. This reduction was attained at an average annual voluntary cost per employee of $34.38. The average voluntary cost per car removed for organizations that actually reduced the solo driving rate was $473. Each $10 expenditure per employee is associated with a 1 percent reduction in the solo driving rate. Every $ 10 increase in annual incentive costs per employee was found to be associated with a 1.3 percent decrease in the solo driving rate. It also was found that elimination of government mandates has reduced the cost of implementing an employee trip reduction program by one-half. Tax incentives should be established to encourage organizations to begin voluntary programs. Such a tax-incentive scheme, combined with an aggressive education program, may be able to achieve substantial reductions in pollution and congestion in urban areas.

Abstract:
Train trip package transportation is an advanced form of railway freight transportation, realized by a specialized train which has fixed stations, fixed time, and fixed path. Train trip package transportation has lots of advantages, such as large volume, long distance, high speed, simple forms of organization, and high margin, so it has become the main way of railway freight transportation. This paper firstly analyzes the related factors of train trip package transportation from its organizational forms and characteristics. Then an optimization model for train trip package transportation is established to provide optimum operation schemes. The proposed model is solved by the genetic algorithm. At last, the paper tests the model on the basis of the data of 8 regions. The results show that the proposed method is feasible for solving operation scheme issues of train trip package.

Abstract:
Purpose The study of successful transformational change processes in organizations has been limited. The purpose of this paper is to understand a change process and the type of change that occurred in a pharmaceutical company in Sweden 2005–2014. Design/methodology/approach An interactive research design was used, and semi-structured interviews were conducted with 19 individuals, asking about their views on the change journey. Meetings and dialogue with leaders from the organization also took place. Observations from feedback meetings with leaders were included in the analysis. The results were analysed using a time-ordered display identifying key events, interpreted by a theoretical lens determining the type of change over a period of 10 years. Findings This was a transformational change caused by external pressure, supported by visionary and transparent leadership, collaborative methods aiming at broad involvement and systemic understanding. The results indicated a 40 per cent increase in productivity and altered organizational design and culture. Sense-making activities, persistent adoption of quality improvement tools, dispersed power and sequential change activities underpinned the success. Practical implications The results provide insight into the processes of transformational change. Change leaders were provided with knowledge, inspiration and insight when facing transformations. Social implications Increased prevalence of transformational change calls for new organizational competencies and altered roles for leaders and employees. There is a need for new ways of developing competence and new recruitment policies for leaders. Originality/value This case presents unique empirical evidence of a successful cultural transformation led by a leader using post-conventional principles.

Abstract:
This article sketches a project designed for an undergraduate course dealing with social contexts of entrepreneurship. The learning activity asks students to devise a reward-based crowdfunding campaign for a museum. The project relies on a field trip to a museum where students gather a better understanding of fiscal and brand visibility challenges currently unsettling these types of organizations. The project draws on intra and extra classroom activities that integrate innovative trends in entrepreneurship teaching, bridging theory, and real-life applications. The exercise motivates students to design solutions, develop collaborations, and cocreate value processes with the organization and diverse actors. The activities span over a 4-week period with tasks prior, during, and after the museum field trip, culminating with a presentation of a crowdfunding campaign. The pedagogical value of this exercise relates to students cocreating entrepreneurial action with a client/entrepreneurial organization within a resource-constrained environment, which motivates the design of innovative crowdfunding campaigns and empathizes with the entrepreneurial demands placed on cultural organizations. Cultural, social, and creative problem-solving competencies for working in international and multidisciplinary teams around crowdfunding can be expected as outcomes. This exercise can be advantageous for courses dealing with the multifaceted dynamics of social contexts of entrepreneurship.

Abstract:
Based on the train routing mode ascertained by suitability analysis, we construct a multi-objective problem to optimize the train routing, marshaling number and train headway from the perspective of general cost and segment load ratio by analyzing relevant characteristics like trip time, trip cost, operation cost, spatial distribution characteristics etc. Then the Singular Value Decomposition method and simulation software RailSys have been adopted to calibrate related parameters for the subsequent calculation. By comparison, the Genetic Algorithm is recommended to get an optimal solution to this multi-objective problem, and we improve the traditional algorithm by modifying the coding type, fitness function and crossover operation to enhance the efficiency and convergence. Finally, an operational mode which both satisfies the technological and passenger conditions has been identified to guarantee travellers’ safety, improve operation efficiency, save trip time and decrease cost.

Abstract:
The purpose of the study is the analysis of the peculiarities of the organization of budget-limited combined tourist trips through the European countries by private transport as a kind of backpacking. Methods. The paper uses comparison, analysis, synthesis and generalization. The development of tourist routes heavily involved cartographic methods as well as expert assessment of those who took group tours. Results. The study analyses theoretical approaches to the concept of backpacking and its varieties and defines what kind of trips by private transport can be classified as backpacking. Based on the personal experience, we demonstrated organizational, economic and geographic aspects of such trips among domestic tourists as well as directions of further development. We presented examples of organization of two combined trips of tourist groups that involved different kinds of touristic and recreational activities: city excursions, mountaineering, recreation at the sea and lakes. Despite the variety of considered trips, their main purpose was the organization of mountain trekking and climbing peaks. One of the trip's primary destination was the highest peak of Austria, Mount Großglockner and the eponymous high-mountain motorway in the Hohe Tauern National Park. The backpacking trip that took place in July 2019 included trekking through the territory of the Triglav National Park and climbing the highest peak of Slovenia. The main criteria that classify this trip as backpacking are the following: low budget thanks to living in tents and preparing own food; the organization of the trip as a whole as well as trekking routes by the participants themselves without involvement of professional guides. Scientific novelty. The paper studies tours through Europe by private transport as a kind of backpacking tours and the peculiarities of their organization. Practical significance. The suggested variants of tourist trips can be used by self-organized groups as well as professional guides. Another part of European experience that could be useful for Ukraine is the organization of accommodation in the mountains and camping places as well as the system of registration and tourist fees that exist in European countries. The introduction of this practice in Ukraine would encourage better organization of self-organized tourism in the country and filling local budgets and would allow for improvements to the ecological situation in certain popular recreational regions.

Abstract:
Traditionally, internal-external trips were modeled by using regression-based trip generation equations and gravity model trip distribution. Applying these models at the cordon in the traditional way produces a number of problems. A typical solution is the use of external traffic analysis zones and highway networks that are used to model the external traffic similarly to internal traffic. Presented are modifications to each component of the traditional cordon line external model that will remedy these problems for those areas that do not wish to expand their data collection burden to areas outside their planning boundaries. In this model, trip distribution is a traditional cordon applied gravity model modified by using a composite impedance based on the product of travel time and an exponential function of the angular impedance. Angular impedance is defined as the angle between the vector representing the general direction of travel at the cordon and the vector defined by the cordon crossing point and a given internal zone centroid. The trip generation model is modified by the use of accessibility modified independent variables in the regression formulation. This model uses either traditional socioeconomic variables or internally generated production and attractions as the root variable. These root variables are then multiplied by an accessibility term similar to the denominator of the gravity model formula where internal-external trip productions at the cordon are used as the size variables. Application of these modifications to a small metropolitan planning organization in Ohio resulted in dramatic improvements to the model.

Abstract:
When Vietnam joined the World Trade Organization (WTO), we made a non-discriminatory commitment between home-made goods and imported goods, so the great protection of domestic manufacturing enterprises is not can exist. Special consumption tax is only a historical period and will have to be adjusted, as this time transport infrastructure is still poor, people's living standards are not high. Particularly for domestically produced cars, it is not much affected by import tax, but still subject to SCT by the number of seats and cylinder capacity in accordance with the Law on Special Consumption Tax. As for value added tax (VAT), we should not mention much because most consumer products in Vietnam apply a VAT rate of 10%. The application of tariffs aims to encourage businesses to increase localization rates, and at the same time develop the automobile industry, aiming at export. Therefore, businesses need to try to save production and business costs, properly account market price. Vietnamese consumers are still "expecting" after 2018 to buy cheap cars because the import tax on complete cars will be reduced to 0%. However, in contrast, some comments also suggest that at that time most of the domestic car manufacturers and assemblers will turn into importers.

Abstract:
AbstractOne way to think about capitalism-versus-socialism is to examine the extent to which capitalist economic institutions are compatible with the fulfillment of socialist ideals. The late G. A. Cohen has urged that the two are strongly incompatible. He imagines how it would make sense for friends to organize a camping trip, distills the socialist moral principles that he sees fulfilled in the camping trip model, and observes that these principles conflict with a capitalist organization of the economy. He adds that these principles are ethically attractive, so if it is feasible to organize the economy on the camping trip model, we ought to do so. This essay argues to the contrary that for all that has been said, capitalist economic arrangements might be in the set of institutional arrangements that overall would best fulfill the camping trip principles, and anyway, the principles themselves ought to be rejected, so the question whether or not a capitalist set-up might satisfy these principles should not interest us. The grounds for rejecting the camping trip principles support a form of welfarist consequentialism that denies that equality of distribution of any sort is per se ethically desirable and also denies that liberal freedoms to live as one chooses are per se morally desirable. Equality and freedom should rather be regarded as in the light of possible means (or hindrances) to advancing good for people, fairly distributed.

We investigated the travel behavior of the elderly in two United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization UNESCO Heritage Cities in Malaysia, George Town and Malacca, to assess the commonalities and differences in the mobility of the elderly and to analyze the factors influencing the mobility of the elderly. We relied upon a one-day travel diary where the elderly recorded their trip information including trip category, mode of travel, and distance travelled. A total of 455 travel diaries were completed and analyzed using descriptive analysis and Poisson estimation with the number of trips as the dependent variable. We found that the elderly in both cities recorded no more than five trips per day, travelled mostly within a distance of five kilometers, and chose private transportation as their preferred mode of transportation. Factors statistically significantly influencing the elderly’s trip frequency included location (city), education level, private vehicle ownership, health condition, and engagement in exercise. Findings from this study suggest that authorities need to strategize transportation planning to encourage mobility among the elderly without compromising the heritage status of both cities.

Abstract:
Abstract The paper aims to identify possible methods for balancing the allocation of transport flow on modal subsystems in order to efficiently use the infrastructures and reduce the negative effects of today’s unbalance. The aspects of intermodal competition are reviewed, considering the economic concepts regarding the substitutability of transportation services, conformation degree to the perfect competition model and the nature of cross elasticity demand. A top-down analysis over the whole infrastructure assembly is performed. The results, under the presumption of valid work hypothesis, indicated that for further analysis the set of networks transferring material flows can be assumed as disconnected from the other networks sets transferring energy, informational and values flows. The second part of the paper develops, for that disconnected networks, a generalized cost optimization model for multimodal transportation, where the comfort and safety are accounted. Thus, the performance of the existing algorithms based only on trip length, trip duration and energy consumption can be significantly improved. Additionally, the author proposes three new independent types of modal analysis that allow end-users and companies involved in transport organization to optimize their modal choice and the whole transport process organization.

Abstract:
As the poorest Western Hemisphere country, Haiti has a long history of health disparity including elevated rates of hypertension, HIV/AIDS, and tuberculosis. In the summer of 2012, a four-week knowledge and skills based course, including a one-week medical mission, was developed to meet the need for medical care in Haiti, and to provide an interprofessional, service-learning environment to enhance students’ cultural competence. A nonprofit volunteer organization that connects healthcare people with a community in need assisted in developing the mission trip. Background on the culture of Haiti, medical education, and development of nutrition education materials were incorporated into the course. Students participated in classroom activities, assisted with development of nutrition education materials, and maintained a reflective journal during the mission trip. Basic nutrition education, nutrition assessment and evaluation, and breastfeeding instruction were provided to Haitian patients. Additionally, students and faculty interacted with each member of the healthcare team; facilitating a greater understanding of an interprofessional approach to medical care. Incorporating a medical mission trip into dietetics education provides an opportunity to increase cultural competence of faculty and students while providing another outlet for students to gain hands-on experience. Interprofessional service-learning further enhances the educational experience and should be considered as a worthwhile educational technique. Programs looking to incorporate such a mission trip into their curriculum can follow a similar scheme of course development.

This paper has analyzed passenger flows' characteristics of Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed railway based on the ticket data of 2013 January, including passengers' distribution on the ranges of trip distance and passengers' composition in each range. Furthermore, it concentrated on analyzing preferences on passenger's choice behavior among the passengers of different OD pairs and the difference between weekday and weekend on passenger's behavior. The result shows short journey passenger had lower sensitivities on ticket price and travel speed, the selection of passengers from low-level node to high-level node on departure time had obvious clustering effect. With the increase of trip distance, the sensitivities of passengers on ticket price, travel speed and originating train would increase correspondingly. The paper's conclusion has referential meaning for researches on the optimization of high-speed railway transport organization.

Abstract:
Introduction:Puerto Rico is among the top five territories in the USA to be affected by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), which is why our goal is to help the island with service trips. Studies have reported the professional and personal benefits students can gain by participating in service activities. However, the benefits obtained by the Hispanic-Latino participants living with HIV in Puerto Rico, have not been outlined. The purpose of this study was to discuss the perceived benefits of a short-term week-long service trip for the students, participants, and personnel. Methods:A total of 11 physical therapy students and one professor travelled to Puerto Rico for a one-week service trip. The group partnered with an established organization named ‘La Perla de Gran Precio,’ which works with low-income Hispanic-Latino USA citizens participants that have been diagnosed with HIV. Students were involved in both academic and cultural components by providing physical therapy services to the participants. At the end of the week, surveys were given to all parties involved. Results:Students, personnel and participants reported the service trip as extremely positive. Students suggested that its integration should be considered in any physical therapy curriculum to improve the future of this profession further. Participants reported learning from this experience and have been able to implement the methods into their routine. Conclusions:The Puerto Rico service trip enhanced the education of physical therapy students and their ability to increase cultural awareness, boost communication skills, provide opportunities to overcome challenges, and foster a sense of purpose. Also, the Puerto Rico service trip was a beneficial and positive experience for all people involved. Consideration should be made to incorporate this initiative a much larger scale in a population that is vastly underserved.

Abstract:
Purpose: Official trip is one of the common business processes carried out by every organization, including educational institutions. However, in its implementation, there are various kinds of obstacles that have an impact on the lack of effectiveness and efficiency of the system, in terms of time, material and human resources. This study aims to evaluate existing business processes and design, and implement the results of business process re-engineering (BPR) in the official trip system which is supported by digitization and digitalization with a multi-unit integration approach at one of the private universities in Indonesia, Telkom University.Design/methodology/approach: This study uses a mixed-method with an embedded design approach. The quantitative method was carried out by calculating the performance of official trip procedures before and after the BPR. Meanwhile, the qualitative method was carried out by conducting interviews and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) with key informants in this study. Triangulation technique was used to validate the research results.Findings: The BPR process has resulted in radical changes to the official trip system at the university, namely from a mixed system of manual / offline & online to completely online, from a very centralized to decentralized decision process, and the availability of a transparent monitoring system. These changes provide significant results by increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of business processes so as to speed up time, save paper (reduce paper waste and reduce costs) and optimize employee assignments.Originality/value: This study adds new insights into the implementation of BPR to the official trip system in higher education. This research implies that BPR can produce radical changes in business processes in higher education to become more effective and efficient. In addition, this study proposes several practical and academically useful recommendations for further research in this area.

Abstract:
Evidence-based health care practices are available for a number of conditions such as asthma, smoking cessation, heart failure, and management of diabetes. However, these practices are not routinely implemented in care delivery and variations in practices abound. Implementing evidence-based practices (EBPs) is challenging, and difficulties implementing evidence may be largely explained by contextual factors. Thus, strategies are needed that address the complexity and systems of care, individual practitioners, senior leadership, and ultimately changing health care cultures to promote an evidence-based practice environment. To advance knowledge about promoting and sustaining adoption of EBPs in health care, translation science needs more studies that test translating research into practice (TRIP) interventions; studies are needed that investigate what TRIP interventions work, for whom, in what circumstances, in what types of settings, and studies that explain the underlying mechanisms of effective TRIP interventions. According to the Translation Research Model, adoption of innovations, such as EBPs, are influenced by the nature of the innovation (e.g., the type and strength of evidence; the clinical topic), and the manner in which it is communicated (disseminated) to members (e.g., physicians, nurses) of a social system (organization, nursing profession). This article discusses the importance of context in translation using this framework as a guide.

Abstract:
Abstract. In modern conditions for passenger complex of Russian Railways, important tasks include improvement of transportation quality, maintenance of stable positions in a competitive environment and increasing demand. To address these issues, a customer-oriented approach is applied based on the segmentation of transport market in relation to certain groups of passengers. Performance of children's transportation is of particular relevance and social significance. Railways are charged with a huge range of work, including sale of travel documents, preparation and equipping of passenger cars, provision of food during the trip, instructing workers, ensuring security during the embarkation/disembarkation of passengers, etc. Children can travel as individually with accompanying persons and as part of organized groups. Processes of planning, organizing, monitoring the transportation of this age category of passengers are associated with the analysis of a large amount of reference and regulatory and reporting documentation. On the basis of the ACS “Express-3”, a program-analytical complex “Children's transportation” was developed and implemented, which allows to receive data at the regional and network levels in the operational (train number, day) and statistical (period of dates, month) modes. This information technology provides analytical support for key transportation management functions — planning, control, analysis. Planning of transportation of organized children's groups is carried out on the basis of a study of the dynamics of data on the number of applications received and travel documents issued, determining the routes of trains, periods of the highest intensity of passenger traffic, obtaining information about the stations of embarkation and disembarkation. To perform the functions of monitoring the embarkation and disembarkation at the destination station of groups of children, the employees involved receive information on the train number, car number, date and time of arrival, number of children in the group using the Children's Transportation software. For the analysis of transportation of children's age categories, a functional has been developed that ensures the construction of aggregated reporting based on trains data that completed the trip. Users receive reporting information in table form, including “strict” (designed according to the approved layout) and “flexible” forms (construction is performed according to specified parameters). Software and analytical complex is designed for managers and specialists of the passenger unit of the JSC “Russian Railways”, has a modular principle of increasing functionality and provides a solution to current problems in the system of organizing children's transport service.

While pilgrimage is a cultural obligation, it sometimes appears to be a political and commercial institution that requires a complex organization. In this legal document which dates back to the Mamluk era, and ratified in the month of raǧab, of the year 827/ June 1424, we are talking about a caravaneer, called here ʿakkām, whose task is to accompany a pilgrim who departed from Cairo to go to Mecca, and who in front of witnesses, committed himself to meticulously accomplish some described tasks. This single document, which is a professional commitment of great interest, enlightens us on the organization of the pilgrimage caravans and it informs us about the hiring of the guides in charge of ensuring a good trip. The juridical structure of this document raises the question of his status: a contract or just a simple engagement within a profession guild?

Abstract:
A logging vehicle is a source of increased danger, and its serviceability affects road safety. Diagnostics of the technical condition of the car allows you to timely identify serious defects in components, mechanisms and aggregates without removing them and disassembling them, to have time to eliminate malfunctions in time and bring the technical characteristics to the standard. Analysis of the literature data has shown that diagnostics of the technical condition of a logging vehicle plays an important role in preventing accidents. Our task was to improve the reliability of the car and reduce the complexity of work during the next maintenance. In the article, we justify the criteria necessary for the organization of safe operation of logging vehicles when transporting timber on public roads. The age and technical condition of the timber rolling stock fleet is analyzed. The most frequent failures of forest transport vehicles on the example of cars of the KAMAZ family, affecting the organization of traffic safety, are determined. The necessity of pre-trip control inspections and Express diagnostics of vehicles is revealed. Taking into account the identified shortcomings, the scheme of post-trip removal of parameters from the built-in diagnostics system of a logging vehicle and subsequent remote transmission of data to the server of the control room of a motor transport enterprise has been developed. The conducted scientific research allowed us to find a solution to the problem, which is to allocate technical diagnostics in an independent type of technical impact. This measure will reduce the costs of premature technical impacts on the systems, components and aggregates of timber rolling stock without reducing the requirements for traffic safety

Active transportation refers to modes of travel that incorporate physical activity as part of the trip. Examples include walking and bicycling, as well as transit, since walking or bicycling is typically required for transit station access and egress. The Nashville Area Metropolitan Planning Organization has recently restructured its regional transportation policies and programming priorities as part of the development of the 2035 Regional Transportation Plan to enable more active transportation by encouraging the implementation of infrastructure such as sidewalks, bikeways, and transit. The result is a significant increase in the number of federally-funded transportation projects in the greater Nashville region that provide opportunities for active transportation trips.

Abstract:
Research on travel demand modeling has predominantly focused on weekday activity–travel patterns, with studying the effects of commute travel on peak period traffic congestion as a major objective. Few studies have examined the weekend activity–travel behavior of individuals. However, weekend travel volume has been increasing over time and is comparable to weekday travel volumes. Hence, weekend activity–travel patterns warrant careful attention in transportation planning. This paper focuses on presenting a comprehensive exploratory analysis of weekend activity–travel patterns and contrasting weekday and weekend activity participation characteristics. Data from the 2000 San Francisco Bay Area Travel Survey, California, are used in the analysis. A comparative analysis of several aggregate activity–travel characteristics indicates that, although weekday and weekend travel volumes are comparable, there are several key differences in activity–travel characteristics. Specifically, weekend activity–travel is predominantly leisure oriented and undertaken during the midday period. Average trip distances are longer on weekends. Transit shares are lower but occupancy levels in personal automobiles are higher on weekends. The weekend activity sequencing and trip-chaining characteristics explored in this study provide further insights into individuals’ activity organization patterns on weekend days. This paper highlights the importance of studying weekend activity–travel behavior for transportation planning and air-quality modeling. Insights from this exploratory analysis can form the basis for comprehensive weekend activity–travel modeling efforts.

Abstract:
It is well known that rats exhibit elevated levels of activity during the dark phase and reduced levels during the light phase of the photoperiod cycle. However, the information about the influence of the time-of-day on the strategies used to explore the environment is still not understood. Here we tested the hypothesis that time-of-day influences the fine-scale exploratory behaviour of rats, measured in the open field (OF) test, and emotionality of rats, measured in the elevated plus maze (EPM) test. Adult male Wistar rats were subjected to the OF and EPM tests during Morning, Afternoon, or Evening sessions. In the OF, a principal component analysis (PCA) revealed that the Evening group exhibited longer duration of locomotion and rearing, and also higher distance travelled, trip length, inter-stop distance, number of stops and stops per trip compared to other groups. PCA also revealed that the Evening group exhibited shorter time spent at the home base, duration of locomotion along the perimeter and distance travelled along the perimeter compared to other groups. In the EPM test, there was no difference between the groups in any of the parameters evaluated. Our results indicate that the time-of-day may influence the spatio-temporal organization of exploration of rats subjected to unfamiliar environments. These alterations appear to be unrelated to differences in the emotional state of the animals.

Abstract:
How a California metropolitan planning organization (MPO) overcame data limitations and developed innovative solutions to regional agricultural freight transportation problems is described. Data from government agencies and trade groups on annual fruit and vegetable production, fish landings, and wine production were combined with survey data on truck volumes and loading practices to develop novel approaches for estimating truck and rail trips. Similar methods were used to project future freight volumes by using key population, income, and agricultural productivity indexes to project agricultural production volumes and employment forecasts in the processed food industries and thereby forecast freight volumes in their industries. To identify problems and deficiencies in the system, new performance indicators such as number of internal truck trips per outbound line-haul trip, wait time per pickup, comparisons of hourly inbound and outbound line-haul truck trip distributions, and truck trips as a percent of total traffic volume on roadways with poor level of service were used. It was concluded that poor logistics planning, lack of coordinated information and communications about load availability, poor load consolidation practices, and inadequate truck parking and driver waiting facilities were among the biggest problems facing the region. A proposed freight logistics center, which may be developed as a public-private partnership, is now under consideration. The methods and programs developed in this study may have applications in other small to medium-sized MPOs.

Abstract:
The article discusses the relevance of the development of tourism for people with disabilities and highlights the issue of potential and relevance of the organization of the caravan tours as part of adaptive tourism in Russia. The authors point out the positive results of the development of the tourist destination, and also list the main shortcomings and constraining factors of realization caravanning in the country. The authors have conducted "pilot" survey among tourists with special needs and summed it up. The research results demonstrate perceptivity of development of caravan tours for people with disabilities. But it is a great work must be done to this kind of trailering became popular. First of all it is necessary to adapt the infrastructure of tourist sites for specific requirements of customer with disabilities (lifts, handrails, ramps, wide doorways, special sanitary zones for wheelchair users, adapted furniture, etc.), special attention should be paid to camp organization parking (specialized sanitary facilities, recreational facilities, catering places, etc.). Development of a socially oriented tourist destination, where the client could be provided with the convenience and security, as well as the considerate treatment of staff (hospitality workers, medical and social services and transport services) during the entire trip, is very important for the organization of tours for people with special needs.

OBJECTIVEWe describe the use of implementation science at the unit level and organizational level to guide an intervention to reduce central-line–associated bloodstream infections (CLABSIs) in a high-volume, regional, burn intensive care unit (BICU).DESIGNA single center observational quasi-experimental study.SETTINGA regional BICU in Maryland serving 300–400 burn patients annually.INTERVENTIONSIn 2011, an organizational-level and unit-level intervention was implemented to reduce the rates of CLABSI in a high-risk patient population in the BICU. At the organization level, leaders declared a goal of zero infections, created an infrastructure to support improvement efforts by creating a coordinating team, and engaged bedside staff. Performance data were transparently shared. At the unit level, the Comprehensive Unit-based Safety Program (CUSP)/ Translating Research Into Practice (TRIP) model was used. A series of interventions were implemented: development of new blood culture procurement criteria, implementation of chlorhexidine bathing and chlorhexidine dressings, use of alcohol impregnated caps, routine performance of root-cause analysis with executive engagement, and routine central venous catheter changes.RESULTSThe use of an implementation science framework to guide multiple interventions resulted in the reduction of CLABSI rates from 15.5 per 1,000 central-line days to zero with a sustained rate of zero CLABSIs over 3 years (rate difference, 15.5; 95% confidence interval, 8.54–22.48).CONCLUSIONSCLABSIs in high-risk units may be preventable with the a use a structured organizational and unit-level paradigm.Infect Control Hosp Epidemiol 2017;38:1306–1311

Abstract:
For the second time within 5 years, the traffic forecasting model application developed by the planning staff for the Cedar Rapids, Iowa, area metropolitan planning organization (MPO) has achieved not only a base-year accuracy that exceeds what other, larger MPOs have accomplished, but also a travel-volume and travel-time accuracy for the relatively high-volume streets that, in most cases, is not significantly different from the sampling error of field observations. Comparable success has also been achieved in modeling peak-hour traffic patterns, where applications have also been developed to model peak-hour factoring and design hour volumes for transportation projects. The standard of accuracy that has been achieved for this metro area has been made possible by two major differences from typical MPO practice. First, travel estimates (trip generation rates) are based on field-measured vehicle-trip rates rather than the common practice of a stated-response travel survey of the public (i.e., on what people do rather than what they say they do). Second, and far more important, the modeling is based on the dynamic integration of the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM) methods of intersection traffic control analysis with traditional traffic forecasting processes. Although there are many planning agencies that claim to be using HCM procedures, the process described is shown to be the one that much more faithfully replicates the flexible approach capacities and volume/delay relationships that are the direct result of HCM-level analysis.

Field trips play a significant role in the building of expert knowledge of numerous institutions. So why is their nature and significance for knowledge production rarely discussed in the anthropology of expertise? In this paper, I draw on the particular instance of an expert field trip undertaken by a disaster management organization in the Indian state of Odisha in the aftermath of Cyclone Phailin in 2013. I show that field trips are contingent practices defined by their sequential logic, relationships, interests, and by the personal perceptions of people who undertake them. The choice of personnel to carry out this field exercise is fundamental and depends on institutional views of aims and understandings of what constitutes expertise. In line with E. Summerson Carr’s argument that expertise is something people “do” rather than “hold”, I show that enacting expert status serves to assert power and to enable its holder to achieve their aims.

Abstract:
The colectivo bus operations of Buenos Aires, Argentina, provide a premium-quality bus service that attracts exceptionally high ridership with virtually no public financial support, and, as a bonus, produces tax revenues. The concept and details of Buenos Aires colectivo—business organization, licensing, regulation, and operation—have direct applicability in any place where potential passenger demand and prevailing wage rates offer the opportunity of profitability without subsidy. In addition, the varied options for introducing entrepreneurship into bus operations illustrated by Buenos Aires colectivo evolution should be of interest in all types of cities at all levels of development and bus-subsidy requirement. Original research into Buenos Aires colectivo introduction, organization, regulation, and market response is presented. The colectivos originally started at much the same time and in much the same configuration as jitneys in the United States, but they evolved into more sophisticated operations, most notably in their resurgence during privatization after a period of state transit operation. In 1992 the 14,000 colectivos of the Buenos Aires metropolitan area, run by 230 individual private enterprises as part of a network that also includes trains and subways, provided 1.3 billion vehicle-km (800,000,000 vehicle-mi) of bus service for the year and attracted ridership approaching an average of one bus trip per day for each of the region's 11 million inhabitants.

Abstract Objective To study the newly adopted International Classification of Diseases 11th revision (ICD-11) and compare it to the International Classification of Diseases 10th revision (ICD-10) and International Classification of Diseases 10th revision-Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM). Materials and Methods : Data files and maps were downloaded from the World Health Organization (WHO) website and through the application programming interfaces. A round trip method based on the WHO maps was used to identify equivalent codes between ICD-10 and ICD-11, which were validated by limited manual review. ICD-11 terms were mapped to ICD-10-CM through normalized lexical mapping. ICD-10-CM codes in 6 disease areas were also manually recoded in ICD-11. Results Excluding the chapters for traditional medicine, functioning assessment, and extension codes for postcoordination, ICD-11 has 14 622 leaf codes (codes that can be used in coding) compared to ICD-10 and ICD-10-CM, which has 10 607 and 71 932 leaf codes, respectively. We identified 4037 pairs of ICD-10 and ICD-11 codes that were equivalent (estimated accuracy of 96%) by our round trip method. Lexical matching between ICD-11 and ICD-10-CM identified 4059 pairs of possibly equivalent codes. Manual recoding showed that 60% of a sample of 388 ICD-10-CM codes could be fully represented in ICD-11 by precoordinated codes or postcoordination. Conclusion In ICD-11, there is a moderate increase in the number of codes over ICD-10. With postcoordination, it is possible to fully represent the meaning of a high proportion of ICD-10-CM codes, especially with the addition of a limited number of extension codes.

Abstract:
The original plan of this research was to collect multiple sets of data from business students in a 2020 spring study abroad program including the pre-departure course, the experiential learning in Thailand and post experience. When the World Health Organization (2020c) categorized the COVID-19 outbreak a pandemic, the pre-departure course was interrupted, resulting in the remaining sections of the program to be cancelled. To date, since no previous research was available on a pre-departure course interrupted by a pandemic of this kind, the experiences of the two faculty members teaching the course became central to the research making this study phenomenological. The experiences were captured by daily notes with reflections leading to four key findings: 1. The course lacked skills training and needed to be redesigned as it would be offered in spring 2021. Adding practical applications to the comprehensive collection of materials would lead students to start shifting their mindsets prior to the trip rather than during the trip resulting in maximized experiences. 2. The COVID-19 outbreak was unprecedented in that it was not a short-lived occurrence but an on-going crisis. The uniqueness of the situation brought futuristic thinking and scenario planning to the forefront when developing and implementing such global programs. 3. Faculty were not prepared for an on-going crisis. To be able to cope with similar uncertainties and act decisively, faculty leading such experiences needed training in futuristic thinking and scenario planning. 4. Faculty country-expertise strengthened student trust when teaching the course. Developing, teaching such courses, and leading such experiences need to be backed up by location-expertise to foster confidence for optimal benefits.

Abstract:
The Ministry of Education, Thailand announced the major scheme for the implementation of Sufficiency Economy in Schools in the country along with the 1999 National Education Act Amendment in 2003. The purposes were to establish self immunization in human capital and develop learners to their full capacity. However, the inequality among schools in Thailand was one of the main problems in educational development. The small schools were among the disadvantage groups. There were not having sufficient learning resources, teaching personnel and teachers with major in special subject areas, the small schools needed help in their development programs as well as integrating sufficient economy into the learning and teaching situations. The purposes of this study are to develop teacher professional for learning organization on sufficiency economy in small schools as well as to develop principals and teachers' concepts about learning organization on sufficient economy. This study employs qualitative design by analyzing document and interviewing key informants. The research samples consist of five small schools under the Office of Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area. The findings reveal that the training strategy with the emphasis on brain storming, working in small groups, learning from success stories experiences of their peers and friendly supervision in the teacher professional development for learning organization based on the philosophy of sufficiency economy. Furthermore, the support from school administrators also created confidence among teachers in implementing the integration of the innovation based on the philosophy of sufficiency economy in a whole school system. Therefore, the project was implemented and progress under the same ideology in both administrators and teachers. Regarding the guidelines for teacher development for learning organization based on the philosophy of sufficient economy among small schools, the findings revealed that there are six steps of work procedures. The six steps comprise of (i) awareness creation, the research employed a study trip to visit good practice sites in sufficiency economy; (ii) professional development; (iii) consensus concept of creation of innovation based on sufficiency economy and classroom research; (iv) using community learning resources; (v) observation and reflection, and (vi) supervision and coaching. In conclusion, all teachers accepted and implemented the integration of sufficiency economy into their classroom. Moreover, they showed their ability for integrating the philosophy of sufficiency economy into their activities. Finally, most of the students showed their developments in achievement and attitude.

Abstract:
The article presents the tourist popularity of Poland among the inhabitants of Stavropol Krai (a region located in the south of the European part of the Russian Federation). The research attempted to identify the reasons for discouraging the inhabitants of this region to take a tourist trip to Poland. Also presented the reasons, ways of organization and opinions on the tourist attractiveness of Poland against the background of selected countries among the people who visited Poland. The survey, in the form of an internet survey, was conducted among 141 inhabitants of Stavropol Krai. Based on the results of the research it can be stated that for the inhabitants of this region Poland is an attractive tourist country. However, it must be emphasized that much is still to be done to promote Poland as an attractive tourist destination. A large part of the respondents were not aware of its tourist attractiveness, which was the main reason for the lack of interest in this country.

Abstract:
The United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) is one of six geographic combatant commands created to protect and defend the United States, its people, and its interests. This paper examines the key leader engagement (KLE) process and method of assessment for PACOM. PACOM has a pre-KLE process established to meet information requirements; however, the organization lacks a formal assessment method. KLEs are an instrumental tool to build relationships with partner nations and maintain command and control in PACOM’s area of responsibility. A structured and standardized KLE assessment system provides meaning to the data and is instrumental to evaluate each engagement and shape future KLEs. The KLE assessment – recording trip information, interpreting the data, and performing data visualization – was designed through benchmarking and performance measurement. Performance measures were developed to determine the success of each KLE by generating quantitative data from qualitative information. The development of a performance measurement-based assessment system promotes continuity and meaningful information to shape future engagements.

Abstract:
One of the requirements of our time is a high-quality public transport service for passengers. Reliability and regularity of traffic, duration and comfort of the trip, traffic safety, availability of equipped and convenient stops - all this and many other factors affect the quality of passenger service. The peculiarities of the organization of passenger transportation, as well as the performance of city routes, affect the psychophysiological state of a person and, as a result, the functional state and the degree of passenger fatigue, which leads to a decrease in his income. The study identified and analyzed the performance indicators of competing routes, which duplicate each other: bus route №276e and trolleybus route № 46. Based on the analysis of studies in the field of the quality of the provision of services by passenger transport, a survey form was formed on the quality of transportation on the routes of urban passenger transport. The assessment of the degree of consistency of experts' opinions using the Kendall coefficient of concordance indicates the consistency of expert opinions. Most of the criteria that were determined by passengers (interval of movement, the degree of filling and the service life of the vehicles) are indicators of the operation of the route, affect the passenger's transport fatigue and a decrease in the passenger's income. The change in the level of transport fatigue of the passenger during the waiting periods and at the end of the route trip in general along the directions of movement and on the individual hauls of the routs are determined. When assessing the quality of transport service on routes, the obtained values of transport fatigue indicate that when using routes, the condition of passengers is assessed as "good". But, if we consider the state of the passenger while using the individual hauls of the routes, his transport fatigue changes significantly and is assessed as "satisfactory". The value of a decrease in passenger income on routes increases throughout the trip, due to the dense filling of the vehicle interior, which negatively affects the functional state of the passenger. Under the existing conditions of passenger transportation on routes, the value of passenger fatigue and the value of passenger income reduction on bus route No. 276e exceeds the value of this indicator on the trolleybus route. To improve the organization of the bus route No. 276е, it is proposed to update vehicles and use buses with a larger passenger capacity (III class instead of I and II, which are used on the bus route now). After the implemented proposed measures for the busiest direction: the occupancy rate of the bus cabin decreased from 1,05 to 0,36, transport fatigue decreased from 5,5 points to 3,03 points, respectively, the value of the decrease in income from 60,55 UAH to 51,53 UAH. Updating vehicles on the Kharkiv bus routes are an urgent problem that requires an immediate solution to improve the quality of passenger transportation. The use of obsolete vehicles on city bus routes affects not only the passenger's fatigue, but also the drivers and, as a result, the likelihood of an road traffic accident. A significant adverse factor affecting the driver is the air pollution of the vehicle interior with harmful compounds, especially carbon monoxide.
