The influence of diameters and loads on the displacement of truss supporting system is evaluated based on the results of the finite element analysis on the steel-tube truss supporting system of silo. The vertical displacement increases with the increasing of the load. The displacement increases with the increasing of the diameter in the same loads. The maximal displacement appears in the intermediate position of the truss, and the displacements of symmetric nodes are similar under the symmetric loads. Due to its advantages of easy deployment and high stiffness-to-mass ratio, the utilization of truss structures for constructing large satellites presents an appealing solution for modern space missions, including Earth observation and astronomy. However, the dimensions of the traditional finite element model for a satellite with a large space truss structure become exceedingly large as the structure’s size increases. The control system design process based on the finite element model is complex and time-consuming. This paper employs the continuum modeling method to represent the truss structur

Introdution: This paper proposed a Small Buckling-Restrained Brace (SBRB) for the ductile truss moment frames and is called here as the Double Braced Truss Moment Frames (DB-TMF). The braces are located at the edge of the truss girder and are only placed around the building perimeter. The braces work in pair as a weak element (structural fuses) and is expected to effectively absorb the seismic energy. The proposed DB-TMF system is an extended development of the Knee Braced Truss Moment Frames (KB-TMF). The DB-TMF system is expected to carry the whole seismic loads, while the rest of the frame
