Tudor-SN (Tudor staphylococcal nuclease), also known as p100 or SND1 (Staphylococcal nuclease and Tudor domain containing 1), is a structurally conserved protein with diverse functions. Emerging evidence indicates that Tudor-SN plays an essential role in both physiological and pathological processes. Under physiological conditions, Tudor-SN regulates DNA transcription, RNA splicing, RNA stability, RNA interference, and RNA editing, and it is essential for a series of cellular biological events, such as cell cycle progression, cell metabolism, and cell survival, in response to harmful stimuli;

Allegedly, the investigator and her mentor, a past leader in the field of speech pathology, were successful in their attempts to induce stuttering in normally speaking children; hence, serious accusations of breech of ethics in science have been made. AbstractThis essay considers the place of astrology at the early Tudor court through an analysis of British Library MS Arundel 66, a manuscript compiled for the use of Henry VII (r. 1485–1509) in the 1490s. It argues that an illustration on fol. 201 depicts King Henry being presented with prognostications by his astrologer, William Parron, with the support of Louis, Duke of Orleans, later King Louis XII of France (r. 1498–1515). It considers the activities of three Tudor astrologer courtiers, William Parron, Lewis of Caerleon, and Richard Fitzjames, who may have commissioned the manuscript, as

This study aims to analyze the application of twentieth century sociologist George Mead's role theory to Henry VIII and Mary I, of Britain's Tudor Dynasty, regarding their treatment of their families during the early to mid-sixteenth century. Contemporary role theory can offer a useful lens to study sixteenth century royal family functionality through an analysis of Henry VIII and Mary I's lives as monarchs of England. Role theory can illuminate the role conflict that led to a separation between Henry and Mary as people and as sovereigns. Their roles, derived from traditional authority, set th

The cellular infiltration of solid tumors is indicative of an immune response to cancerous growths. Unfortunately, most tumors grow progressively despite this infiltration. Therefore, the infiltrate from a regressing tumor is necessary in order to examine the requirements for tumor rejection. Due to the rarity of tumor rejection, elucidating the requirements is difficult without an animal model. The sponge model of concomitant tumor immunity allowed the examination of the components associated with tumor rejection. Abstract Head and neck cancer (HNC) represents a significant global health burden, often requiring complex treatment strategies, including surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. Accurate delineation of tumor volumes is critical for effective treatment, particularly in MR-guided interventions, where soft tissue contrast enhances visualization of tumor boundaries. Manual segmentation of gross tumor volumes (GTV) is labor intensive, time-consuming and prone to variability, motivating the development of automated segmentation techniques. Abstract Radiation therapy (RT) is a vital part of treatment for head and neck cancer, where accurate segmentation of gross tumor volume (GTV) is essential for effective treatment planning. This study investigates the use of pre-RT tumor regions and local gradient maps to enhance mid-RT tumor segmentation for head and neck cancer in MRI-guided adaptive radiotherapy. By leveraging pre-RT images and their segmentations as prior knowledge, we address the challenge of tumor localization in mid-RT segmentation.
