Abstract:

Bu çalışmanın amacı, kullanım çeşitliliğine göre ele aldığımız cümlelerin ve diyalogların gerçek basit metni, her bir gerçek formülün ekleriyle kullanmak ve oyun içindeki örneklerin ardından atıfta bulunmaktır. Araştırmanın girişinde, yazarın yaşamına kısa bir genel bakış ve fiillerin ve fiili formüllerin ne olduğu ve Türkçenin cümlesindeki önemi, türleri ve bölümleri hakkında kısa bir giriş yaptık. Oyun (bu gençler), Türk tiyatro edebiyatının en önemli eserlerinden biri, özellikle de çocuk ve gençlik tiyatrosu, yazarın gençlere ve topluma yönelik en önemli mesajlarını komik bir dilde alaycı bir tarzda, yazarın dilsel tarzı açısından, atama yapmadan gençlerin zihnine hitap etmek basit ve açıktı. Dolayısıyla, gerçek formüllerle ilgili çalışmamızın önemi ve bu oyunun birçok akademisyen ve öğrenci tarafından çalışılmış ve temsil edilmiş olması. Bu oyundan (Ah Şu Gençler) araştırmamızdaki kelime hazinelerinin ve cümlelerin çeşitliliğinden ve bunun yanı sıra Zeynep Korkmaz, Mehmet Akalın, Muharrem Ergin gibi birçok değerli Türk akademisyenin kaynağına dayanarak, sonuçta bahsettiğim birkaç sonuçtan yararlandım. Abstract The study sheds lights on the simple verbal formulas with its particular time suffixes as found in the Turgut Özakman’s play These Crazy Turks. The introduction of the study sheds light on the life of the author and playwright, as well as traces the different types of the verbal formulas in Turkish language. Oh Those Young is one of the most significant products of the Turkish literature of the young and Children where the literary messages of the playwright are addressed in a simple comic sarcastic style. Hence, the play, that has been studied and acted by many students and academics, drives its importance from this particular course of action. The importance of the play lies in various aspects of diction rich with lines of poetry. The study refers to some of the valuable references of well known academics and authors like Muharrem Argin, Zeynep Korkmaz, Mehamet Akalin. The conclusion sums up the findings of the research paper.

Abstract:

This article studies Turkish foreign relations with elites from among Iraqi Kurds during the presidency of Turgut Ozal. The article identifies a group of factors that have influenced and changed the foreign policy paradigm of Turkey in the early 90s in an effort to take control of the processes within Iraqi Kurdistan (Northern Iraq).The events are shown against the backdrop of the strengthening of the Kurdish factor in Iraq during the Persian Gulf War against Saddam Hussayin and immediately after it. The article notes that foreign policy approaches of President Turgut Ozal formed the basis of the foreign policy strategy of the Party of Justice and Development (AKP).

Abstract:

Turgut Ozal University Scientific Research Committee (TOBAT) was established in Turgut Ozal University Faculty of Medicine in 2009 to encourage young medical students and scientists to carry out novel scientific research in addition to their medical education in order to 1) establish a platform of informing the latest advancements in science, 2) present this work to colleagues and 3) meet and interact with their peers within the international medical and scientific community. Our committee annually organizes Turkey’s most highly-qualified medical student congress with the highest number of presenters and attendants, the International Medical Student Congress (IMSC). Over 1,500 medical students and experts attend our congress to present, learn and discuss new research in medicine. Medical students from all over Turkey present the results from their scientific work of the previous year. Because of the international nature of this congress, experts, scientists and attendants from other countries enrich the content and atmosphere of the congress. We also invite successful students who have trained in their own countries and who are interested in science and medicine. Students from abroad present their splendid work and also strengthen the global student network. The congress is covered by the media, both print and television, and has a positive impact on public opinion. The conference organization, design and coordination and the configuration of the scientific program are completed by Turgut Ozal University’s medical students with the assistance of their supervisors; which is a success in itself. Research and scientific work performed by students compose the main portion of the congress. The latest congress included 161 oral and 74 posters presentations. The topics covered by these presentations often show the promise of playing an important role in the future of medical research. Over the past years, topics have included the following: “CRISPR/Cas9 system”: its utilities and its possible applications, especially for tuberculosis infection; the use of synthetic biology to re-program heart coronary arteries for “the rapid treatment of myocardial infarction”; tissue engineering and its novel approaches; and, a state-of-art method for “the colon cancer therapy by using synthetic gut flora”. This year, for the first time, we have included a very important opportunity for the congress attendees: 20 studies of the participating scientific presentations have been selected to be published in this supplementary of the Journal of Clinical and Investigative Medicine, a journal cited in SCI and PubMed database. We believe that this opportunity has encouraged the young scientists to improve their research skills, to carry out better and more novel studies and to collaborate for effectively with each other. The selection was difficult because of the high quality of the scientific research. In this supplementary, you will find several well-documented studies on different topics including the genetic roots of Alzheimer’s disease related to the clusterin gene, novel approaches for cancer stem cell, a novel reporter protein to be used in lab as an alternative to GFP, the effects of traditional moving dry cupping therapy on sleep quality and shoulder-neck pain and the inhibition of gram negative E.coli by LALF-secreting engineered gram positive B. subtilis. By seeing the quality and breadth of these topics, the contributions and potential impact of our congress to the scientific community can be better understood. We wish to express our sincere appreciation to the editors of the Journal of Clinical and Investigative Medicine for their editing and their support in publishing this supplementary material. <p><strong>Abstract</strong></p><p>Reşat Nuri Güntekin is one of the prolific author of Turkish Literature. He owns a lot of literary works within novel and theatre play genres. He cogitated about all components of theatre from decor, till play writer and he wrote many articles. His study on this field was continued by other authors in the following years. Turgut Özakman is a writer who, like Reşat Nuri, has been thought over play writing and studied on theoretical part of theater. The novel named <em>Değirmen </em>which was published in 1944 by Reşat Nuri, was adapted to theater by the name of <em>Sarıpınar 1914</em> by Turgut Özakman. The play was first staged by Ankara Sanat Tiyatrosu on 16 February 1968.</p><p>With the increasing interdisciplinary studies in recent years, the concept of adaptation has attracted the attention of researchers from almost every field. Therefore, the studies adapted from novel to theater have been discussed again with a new point of view. In this article named<em> Romandan Tiyatroya: Değirmen / Sarıpınar 1914,</em> Reşat Nuri’s novel <em>Değirmen</em> and Turgut Özakman’s theatre play <em>Sarıpınar 1914</em> will be evaluated in the framework of the “adaptation theory”. It will be discussed the differences between the novel and theatre play and also reasons of the differences with the comparative evaluations made on the concept of plot, character, time and place.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Öz</strong></p><p>Reşat Nuri Güntekin, Türk edebiyatının en üretken yazarlarından biridir. Özellikle roman ve tiyatro türünde birçok eseri vardır. Tiyatro konusunda dekordan oyun yazarlığına kadar her alanda kafa yormuş ve bu konuda birçok makale yazmıştır. Onun bu alanda yürüttüğü çalışmalar sonraki yıllarda başka yazarlar tarafından da devam ettirilmiştir. Turgut Özakman da tıpkı Reşat Nuri gibi oyun yazarlığı ile meşgul olmuş ve tiyatronun kuramsal kısmı üzerinde çalışmış bir yazardır. Reşat Nuri’nin 1944’te yayımlanan<em> Değirmen </em>isimli romanı, Turgut Özakman tarafından<em> Sarıpınar 1914</em> adıyla tiyatroya uyarlanmıştır. Oyun ilk kez 16 Şubat 1968 tarihinde Ankara Sanat Tiyatrosu tarafından sahnelenmiştir.<em> </em></p><p>Son yıllarda disiplinler arası çalışmaların artmasıyla birlikte uyarlama kavramı neredeyse her alandan araştırmacıların dikkatini çekmektedir. Dolayısıyla romandan tiyatroya aktarılan eserler de yeni bir bakış açısıyla tekrar ele alınmaya başlanmıştır. <em>Romandan Tiyatroya: Değirmen / Sarıpınar 1914 </em>adlı makalede Reşat Nuri Güntekin’in <em>Değirmen </em>isimli romanı ve Turgut Özakman’ın <em>Sarıpınar 1914</em> adlı tiyatro oyunu, “uyarlama kuramı” çerçevesinde değerlendirilecektir. Özellikle olay örgüsü, kişiler, zaman, mekân kavramları üzerinden yapılacak karşılaştırmalı değerlendirmelerle, iki eser arasındaki farklılıkların nedenleri ve bu farklılıkların uyarlanan eser üzerindeki etkileri tartışılacaktır. </p>

Abstract:

Purpose: Epidemiological studies concerning internet addiction found that 50% of internet addicts also have other kinds of psychiatric disorders. This study aims to examine the relationship between alexithymia and internet addiction levels among Turgut Özal University students in Ankara, Turkey. Method: University students (1,107 students; 452 students from 12 associate degree programs and 655 students from 10 undergraduate programs) participated in the study. The researchers used the personal information form, the Toronto Alexithymia Scale and the Internet Addiction Scale. The approval for the current study was received from the Turgut Özal University Medical Faculty Clinical Studies Ethics Committee. Results: The number of the alexithymic students was 12.5% whereas the number of the students who were internet addicts was 13.5%. Abstract:

This study focuses on teaching and learning the English language through communicative activities and real-life context. Well-known scholars present the communicative approach as an effective in the process of language acquisition. This study examines problems that students encounter the most and the obstacles to language acquisition, such as problems with idioms, vocabulary, and grammar. This study also analyses some of communicative activities and instructions how to make these activities parts of their lesson plan, such as role plays, interviews, discussion and group work that have as a main focus teaching the English language inductively. The students and teachers were asked at “Turgut Ozal” High School of Tirana to complete the survey questionnaire related to communicative activities. The students and teachers gave their opinions related to the challenges that students encounter to participate in these activities. The results of the survey show that how much the students want to participate and learn the English language through communication, to talk about topics of interest and real-life context.
