O presente estudo teve por objetivo analisar a dinâmica dos mecanismos de articulação do turismo de eventos e sua influência na formação do município de Florianópolis como destino turístico desses eventos. Identificou-se os atores sociais participantes do turismo de eventos; as políticas geradoras do fluxo turístico de eventos; como funciona a dinâmica de articulação do turismo de eventos; e correlacionou-se o mapeamento do sistema turístico com a receptividade da cidade quanto ao turismo de eventos. Para tanto, o resgate teórico transcorreu a partir da utilização de material de acesso público como livros, revistas, folhetos, publicações, artigos científicos, redes eletrônicas, anuários, entre outros; onde foi descrita a evolução da teoria da administração, as definições de sistemas e o sistema turístico, além do papel do estado no turismo e dinâmicas do setor turístico. A metodologia do estudo contou com um trabalho de campo onde foram aplicados questionários com 17 atores sociais da cidade e quatro entrevistas semiestruturadas, em quatro entidades ligadas ao fomento do turismo. As variáveis de análise elencadas foram: atores sociais, dinâmicas e política pública. Os resultados mostram que na consideração feita entre o mapeamento com a receptividade da cidade quanto ao turismo de eventos, conclui-se que a cidade dispõe de todos os mecanismos necessários para se tornar referência nacional no turismo de eventos, exceto pela falta de uma formação interorganizacional por rede pois, se não existe uma rede de cooperação, a localidade não é produtiva.
This study aims to analyze the dynamics of mechanisms articulation of tourism events and their influence on the formation of Florianopolis destination of event tourism. For that it#s necessary to identify the social actors participating in the events tourism, and identify the policies tht generate the flow of tourist events, researching how the dynamic linkage of tourism events, and correlate the mapping system with the openness of the tourist city on the tourism events. To this end, the theoretical approach was based on research within books, magazines, leaflets, publications, scientific articles, electronic networks, and other annuals, where it was described the evolution of management theory, systems and tourism system, the role of tourism in the state and dynamics of the tourism sector. The methodology of the study included a field study where questionnaires were administered to 17 social actors in the city and four semi-structured interviews with entities linked to the promotion of tourism. The analysis variables listed were: social actors, dynamics and public policy. The results show that in regards to the mapping done between the openness of the city and tourism event, it is concluded that the city has all the necessary mechanisms to make reference to national tourism events, except for a lack of inter-network dynamics therefore if it has no network, the location is not productive.

This work has as main objective to know the challenges and possibilities related to tourism of business events in Caxias do Sul / RS under the point of view of several actors of this scenario, such as event organizers, representatives of the public sector and private initiative. The study seeks to contribute to the discussion about the possibilities of a new economic matrix for the municipality, in which business tourism and events can be inserted. In order to reach this objective, a qualitative and exploratory study was chosen. The formation of the corpus was based on the technique of semi-structured individual interviews. The following criteria were used for the selection of interviewees: nine people who work or have already served in leadership and management roles in public and private entities and enterprises in Caxias do Sul that have a bearing on the subject, such as: Tourism, Trade Union of Hotels, Restaurants, Bars and Similar of Caxias do Sul, Chamber of Industry, Commerce and Services of Caxias do Sul, University of Caxias do Sul, Municipal Tourism Council and organizers of small and large business events. The corpus was analyzed by Bardin's Content Analysis method (2000), which determines three phases for the treatment of the information collected and the schematization of this information into categories. Six categories emerged from this analysis: spaces for events, entrepreneurship culture; infrastructure conditions; responsibility between private and public and new tourism. The reports indicate that Caxias do Sul has difficulties related to spaces suitable for holding events. There are also limitations on aspects of city infrastructure, such as in the case of the airport and the highways. The culture of the business can interfere in a negative way in the activity due to the ignorance of the entrepreneur of the importance in investing in events and, consequently, in the tourism. It is agreed by most of the interviewees that the public power does not signal that it will invest in tourism as a whole nor intend to take the lead in the face of existing needs, so that it is necessary to unite all actors in this scenario. Finally, several possibilities for change in this sector were suggested, from the exploration of natural aspects of the city to the frequent realization of segmented events, through the construction of a new event center and a new airport. They were pointed from small actions to large enterprises as suggestions to develop business tourism and events in Caxias do Sul.

Em meio às transformações contemporâneas, as cidades necessitam adequar sua dinâmica social, econômica e espacial para se adaptarem ao mundo globalizado. Percebe-se, então, uma grande especialização dos espaços e, no caso da metrópole, sua funcionalidade manifesta cada vez mais sua articulação com as economias regionais e nacionais, tornando-se lugar estratégico no contexto da globalização. Provedora de serviços especializados para suprir as necessidades de seu entorno, a metrópole também necessita possuir serviços de hospedagem para acolher os fluxos gerados pelos negócios que ali acontecem. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo geral analisar as implicações do turismo de negócios e eventos no município de Campinas, a partir de sua configuração como sede de uma região metropolitana, por meio de um estudo de seu setor hoteleiro. Analisando as características deste setor, a partir de sua multifuncionalização, esta pesquisa reflete sobre como vem se constituindo tal atividade econômica na cidade. A metodologia para sua elaboração teve como base o método dialético, fundamentando-se na teoria estruturalista preconizada por Santos (1997), que elege quatro categorias de análise do espaço – forma, função, estrutura e processo. Com base na pesquisa realizada, concluiu-se que o turismo em Campinas é, predominantemente, relacionado a negócios e eventos, apresentando boas condições de atendimento, além de que, os recentes fatos ocorridos no cenário econômico de Campinas desenham um quadro promissor à consolidação desta cidade como um destino de turismo de negócios e eventos.

Esta dissertação foi desenvolvida depois de identificada através de avaliação e pesquisa do Setor de Negócios e Eventos do Ministério do Ministério do Turismo, a necessidade de construir um instrumento de orientação para entidades públicas e privadas que demonstrasse as técnicas necessárias para elaboração e analise de projeto. Atualmente a forma de apresentação e análise de projetos encaminhados ao Ministério do Turismo-MTur, estão focadas mais em questão política do que propriamente técnica. Diante disso para auxiliar na elaboração e avaliação desses projetos, foi criada uma Plataforma de Orientação para Elaboração e Análise de Projetos e Gestão de Convênios do Segmento de Negócios e Eventos, capitulo 5, onde estão inseridos conceitos, legislações específicas, normas técnicas e informações sistematizadas sobre as características deste segmento. Com a sua aplicação, espera-se colaborar para a apresentação resultados alinhados com Plano Nacional de Turismo, baseado na legislação vigente e indicadores levantados na pesquisa. _______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT
This dissertation was developed after identified through evaluation and research of Industry and Business Events of the Ministry of Tourism, the need to build a tool to guide public and private entities that demonstrate the techniques for preparation and analysis of project. Currently the form of presentation and analysis of projects presented are focused more on political question of what proper technique. Forward it to assist in the preparation and evaluation of these projects, was created a platform for Guidance Project Development and Analysis and Management Agreements Segment and Business Events, chapter 5, where concepts are identified, specific laws, rules and technical information systematized on the characteristics of this segment. With its implementation, is expected to collaborate to present results in line with National Plan for Tourism, based on existing law and raised in the research indicators.

Full textThe Strategic Management of Destinations: Oporto City Competitiveness for the Meetings Industry (MI) aims to demonstrate that the Oporto City is a suitable destination for hosting MI related events. In the first place, this research presents an overview of literature based on Business Travel and MI definitions. After discussing the tendencies in this segment, it focuses on the tourist destination as an amalgam of services and experiences for the sector being studied. In the second part of the research, the empirical study starts with an analysis of the National Strategic Plan for Tourism (PENT), along with the database from the Lisbon Observatory and the International Crongress and Convention Association (ICCA) in order to contextualize the segment in Portugal. Based on the information gathered through the statiscal analysis released by the Institute for Tourism Planning and Develpment (IPDT) in partnership with the Regional Tourist Board of Porto and the North of Portugal (ERTPNP) and Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, the research proceeds with a characterization of the profile a business tourist to Oporto and Nothern Portugal in the four trimesters of 2010, 2011 and in the first one of 2012. The competitiveness of Oporto City for the MI is discussed with the help of interviews with Filipe Trindade, Sales Manager of the Alfândega do Porto Congress Centre (CCA); Rui Ochôa, Event Point’s Magazine Director; Pedro Cardoso, Director of The House of Events and Ruben Obadia, Director of the trade newsmagazine Publituris. The notion emerging from the interviews is that, in matching the new growth tendencies in the sector, the city of Oporto has seen a significant improvement in its tourist market, allowing to develop itself as a destination ready to receive MI.

Full textThe production of the urban space, in the plan of the physical space, is the materialization of the intentions and determination of agent multiples, which drive the destinies of the city for the purpose of the capital, guiding it for a autophagic planning that promotes image of the efficiency, a representation of the space that produced with the intention of selling the city, reinforces the characteristics of global city and opens possibility for the economical agents´ performance to put in practice tactics-strategies of reproduction of the capital in the space. The concept, the consensus that is produced on the city or its fragments, is induced and at the same time inductors of structures, rhythms and of a materiality that expressed itself in the current capitalistic space, conforming the representation spaces, that for its time potentiates the representation of that space. Such representation reinforces São Paulo as destiny of events and businesses. A logic that reveals a \"management of the urban administration\", a \"neodirigismo\" that appears for the construction of a city more and more \"finds strange\" to the that inhabit in it. The capital is spatially selective and search to fasten in the most dynamic centers of the global economy. It produces, therefore, \"homogeneous spaces\", \"fragmented\" and \"hierarchized.\" The competition is shown intransigent among the cities. The public power together with the private initiative put into practice several strategies for the reception of great events and businesses´fairs, attracting investments of every order, fomenting the flow of the tourism of businesses, segment that corresponds to the support of the whole chain of tourism of the capital. In this horizon, to study the great spaces of events / businesses´fairs in the relationship with the urban space of São Paulo shown itself instigate.In the analysis starts itself of the industrialization process and of its distract of the urban space of the city, being a form of placing the birth of the industrial fairs. These fairs were important to reinforce the marks of the national industry, enlarging the businesses and contributing to insert Brazil in the world market.The object of the research understands two of the largest enclosures of events of the city, the Parque Anhembi and the Centro de Exposições Imigrantes, each one of them with their particularities and context. The analysis shows the relationship of those enclosures with the dynamism of the city in its totality, involving the economical, political and social dimensions. And reveals its participation in the process of (re)production of the urban space of the North and South areas, in the areas that surround the Parque Anhembi and the Centro de Exposições Imigrantes, respectively.
