Full textLocated in Lima in the district of Barranco in the province of Lima; It is located in the Jirones Juan Luna Pizarro, Arica and Tejada. This Terrain is located in this place according to a tourist and gastronomic analysis at the provincial level, it was concluded that the Tejada Urbanization was the most favorable area for a gastronomic market due to its tourist attractions and its gastronomy, the Market was chosen No. 2 of Barranco for its proximity to the Monumental Zone and for having adequate urban equipment for the project. This project consists in the creation of a Municipal Gastronomic Market where you can get to transmit the Peruvian Gastronomy, which can highlight the products and high quality food, through the tectonic expressiveness generating a tourist attractor for the public. In addition, project spaces and forms in the project in such a way that it adapts to the characteristics and needs of the merchants and users. At the same time achieving a place where the Peruvian Gastronomy can expose the best foods and products of all the regions of the Country and generating a tourist attractor for locals and tourists.

Full textThis investigation is about the influence of the gentrification, also known as urban renovation, on cultural Tourism in the limenian district of Barranco during the period 2010 -2017. The gentrification and its influence have been widely researched in Europe and United Stated because it is a process that generates social and cultural changes not only in the local population but also in the urban space. Regarding Perú, there is still little research about it. That’s why the reason of this investigation and Barranco was chosen since it is the district that shows this urban renovation much better. The research starts with a prologue about the term gentrification. Then, there is a general overview of the topic and finally the district to be researched is introduced. The first chapter deals with the theoretical framework in which all concepts and significances about gentrification and Cultural Tourism are explained. Furthermore, all general and current aspects of Lima and Barranco are described. The second chapter focuses on the methodology used in the research. It is detailed the technical approach, type of investigation and the objectives to be reached. The research is qualitative and it is mainly based on interviews to government authorities, researchers specialized in Tourism and History of Lima, tourists, and inhabitants of the district who provided detailed and valuable information which was inserted in the respective matrix and binnacle and was ready for the analysis in the next chapter. In the third chapter, all the information is contrasted and analysed. In this way it can be determined how gentrification has influenced on the Cultural Tourism in Barranco in the period 2017-2017. The fourth chapter is about the discussion of the results. Finally, in the last chapter, conclusions and recommendations are given.

Full textThe present thesis has as objective calculate the Social Progress Index [IPS] of the district of Barranco 2018, the research is based on the study framework that measures the Social Progress Index based on three dimension: (a) Basic Human Needs, (b) Foundations of wellbeing and (c) Opportunities. The main instrument used was the district survey as a collection of information obtained through the application of questionnaires based on 52 indicators for the three delimited zones of the district of Barranco according to their geographical proximity. Social progress is required as the ability of a community to give back to the basic human needs of its citizens, the IPS is the basic components that approve citizens to optimize the quality of life and create the circumstances for all people to achieve their maximum potential. This tool also has as its mission to promote social progress so that the government, companies and civil society can collaborate and reorient the necessary resources to make a greater contribution to social progress. The Social Progress Index, calculated according to the methodology of the Social Progress Imperative, obtained as a result a value of 82.65 out of 100 points in the "High" level, highlighting the marked difference between zones III and I with indices of 81.60 and 84.54 respectively. The results show that the district of Barranco covers the minimum needs so that the population can live in the "Very High" level, as there are opportunities for the population to achieve their full potential; with a lower level in the Foundations of well-being dimension in the "High" level in the existence of elements so that they can maintain and develop their well-being defined by health and well-being indexes and environmental sustainability. The present investigation for the Barranco district, constitutes the first measurement of the SPI at zonal level, which will allow to evaluate the conditions of social progress and its comparison at the district level.
