The membership of Turkey into the European Union has remained as controversial as ever, even at this point when countries like U.K are leaving the EU, Turkey's membership in the Union is still being discussed in many circles. Though at this point it is clear Turkeys drive to join the EU appears to have dropped drastically and many believe that citizens of Turkey may no longer be interested in being part of the EU, the truth, however, remains that Turkey will always want to be in the EU, despite whatever disappointment. Accusations emerged that the EU–Turkey deal resulted in the EU states’ failure to comply with the obligations in the field of human rights, particularly the rights of refugees. Instead, the EU and Turkey should focus on concrete fields of cooperation. Abstract:
This paper considers how the three sets of bilateral relations, between the European Union (EU) and Japan, the EU and Turkey, and Turkey and Japan, have developed (or been underdeveloped) and how the three have failed to form a strategic triangle that could potentially be beneficial for dealing with regional and international problems more efficiently. One of the main arguments is that, although all three sides of this triangle have developed significant economic relationships, their political relationships are less consolidated. Such a phenomenon is largely illustrated by the following three

The impact of the European Union (EU) on international policy in Turkey is already regarded as minimal because of the absence of genuine membership prospects. Nevertheless, the approval by Turkey of the asylum laws in the past that fulfills virtually all of the EU's requirements speaks to the continued impact of the EU throughout this policy position. Most of our web-based study's academic scholars believed EU membership to be a key element in the passage of the bill. The conversations with Turkish State officials, as well as the European Commission, show how the EU affected the drafting proce

The institutional model used in the integration process between the European Union (EU) and Turkey was that of establishment of a customs union under an Association Agreement. In the context of the difficulties that have occurred in the membership negotiations between the EU and Turkey, the question arises whether real economic integration between them has gone further than that achieved at the stage of a customs union. Free movement of capital, constituting one of the so-called four fundamental freedoms within the single European market, is the subject of examination in this paper. The obliga

In this research, a comparative analysis of the gender inequalities between Turkey the member, candidate and potential candidate economies of the European Union is tried to be examined. To ensure equality and justice and to reach the level of the EU Member states in this regard, it is a necessity to reduce the gender inequality in society. Rather than comparing Turkey with all transition economies within the frame of the EU standards of gender inequality, it was decided to compare Turkey with the transition economies like itself that are EU Members, Member candidates and potential candidates.

This paper considers what we might expect to be the effect on social policy of Turkish accession to the EU by reviewing the impact of EU membership on social policy in other new member and candidate countries. This effect begins long before membership is finalised, and continues long after membership has been achieved. The patterns of impact can be divided along a number of dimensions: between ‘accession’ and ‘enlargement’; state and civil society; centre and periphery; formal and substantive; and different welfare institutions. In the course of reviewing these variations, the paper reflects u
