Abstract:
Objectives: The objectives of this study are to define Islamic poetry, explore its analytical methodology, and provide examples that illustrate its thematic concepts within modern Turkish poetry. Methods: To achieve these objectives, the study employs the document analysis method, which is a qualitative research approach. The analysis focuses on modern Turkish poetry, examining examples across eight distinct categories of Islamic poetry. Results: The analysis of Islamic poetry within modern Turkish literature reveals its diverse manifestations across various thematic categories. These include Islamist Poetry, Turkish-Islamic Poetry, Sufi Poetry, Islamic Mystical Poetry, Islamic Metaphysical Poetry, Islamic Cultural Poetry, Religious Poetry, and Islamic Romantic Love Poetry. Each category is exemplified with a poem, showcasing the rich tapestry of Islamic sensibility, motivation, and thematic concepts present in modern Turkish poetry. Conclusion: In conclusion, this study highlights the enduring influence of Islam on Turkish poetry, both historically and in contemporary times. Through the exploration of Islamic poetry across different thematic categories, the study illustrates the depth and breadth of Islamic sensibility within modern Turkish literature. The researchers' conclusions drawn from the analysis further contribute to our understanding of the role of Islamic poetry in shaping cultural and literary discourse in Turkey.

Katran Tabrizi is an Azerbaijani poet of the 11th century. In his work, he reflected the political history of Azerbaijan. These are known as "history verses". Tabrizi wrote poetry on various topics. If you look closely at his work, you can see that he retained the Turkish spirit, way of thinking, Turkish culture in his works, retained the patriotic spirit that we see in Nizami, Fizuli, Khagani. The poetic ideas expressed in "Dada-Gorgud", "Divani-lugati-Turk", "Gutadgu-bilik" are very similar. Turkish culture here is very close to Katran Tabrizi; purity, courage, loyalty. The sources of the XIV century Azerbaijani poet Qazi Burhanaddin's creativity are diverse and rich. These resources are mainly: 1. Oral folklore 2. Written all-Turkic poetry 3. Religious sources, Quran motifs 4. Sufistic philosophy Oral folk literature is defined as the main and primary source for the poet's creativity. As we investigate, it becomes clear that the work of Yunus Amre, one of the representatives of Turkish-language poetry, had a serious impact on the worldview of the poet. The reason for this is primarily Yunus Emre's creativity, including It is shown that the Sufism poetry of XIII,XIV centuries became widespread. The influence of the poet by Nizami Ganjavi's poetry was also emphasized. As well as his excellent religious education and the demands of the time, the motifs of the Qur'an also acted as a source for the poet's creativity. The question of reflection of the Sufism philosophy, which became the object of controversy in the artist's poetry for a long time, was also clarified. As a result, it has been proved by facts that Sufism philosophy plays the role of a source for the poet's creativity.

Abstract:
Düvâz-dehs is the name given to the poems, which are also called düvâz, düvâz-nâme and düvâzimâm and mentioned in relation to the subject of twelve Imams. It is considered as a genre belonging to Alevi and Bektashi literature. It is known that they are read during the semah, when slaughtering sacrifices, and in various rituals during the month of Muharram. The focus of the researchers on the düvâz-dehs, which was studied by Turkish folk literature researchers, is the breaths spoken about the Twelve Imams in the Alevi and Bektashi tradition. Although the researchers mentioned the existence of the düvâz-dehs sung in the forms of classical Turkish poetry, they stated that they are closer to folk poetry in terms of language, style and shape, and that folk literature was dominant in the measurements. In the studies carried out throughout Turkish literature, three poets who sang düvâz-dehs were identified in the classical poetry tradition. In the classical Turkish poetry, no examination and definition of the genre has been made on düvâz-dehs. They are examined under the names as “Twelve Imams praise” and “Twelve Imams elegy”, thus a comprehensive düvâz-dehs literature cannot be put forward in the classical Turkish poetry. As far as we can determine, they are sung by poets who comes from different sects and they have many different forms of writing from the first half of the 15th century to the last quarter of the 19th century. In this study, first, the researches on the düvâz-dehs are summarized and the current information about the düvâz-dehs is presented to the attention of the researchers. Then, the düvâz-dehs sung in the tradition of classical Turkish poetry are examined in terms of their scope, structure, relationship with public life and contribution to text critique by considering the century they were written, the form of the poems and the known affiliations of the poets.

Abstract:
Mefkure Mollova, known as a scholar in Turkology, was the first poetess to publish poems in the periodic print in Turkish language in Bulgaria and the only woman who was fortunate to issue a solo poetic collection (1964). She emerges as the most sensitive of the time, whose work boldly touches on the intimate corners of the Turk's mentality and emotionality, to questions and problems close to all women. The sophistication of her work excites young women and crumbles the walls of the traditional taboo. Her contemporaries are delighted with the talent of the beautiful poetess and the "freedom" of her speech, she is perceived as the Turkish Bagryana, almost all young Turkish intelligents were in love with her. Suffocated by the repression of the socialist dictatorship, she was forced to give up poetry. Her work is not known outside the circles of the Turkish readership of the 1950s and 1960s, and like most Turks-poets she remains unknown to the Bulgarian readership. The article also presents the first translations of her poems in Bulgarian.

Abstract:
According to the Turkish Language Teaching Program prepared by the Ministry of National Education in Turkey, poetry texts should be included in Turkish textbooks taught in primary and secondary schools. Students encounter poetry texts in reading and writing activities in Turkish textbooks. It is thought that determining how students perceive the type of poetry they encounter in Turkish textbooks is important for Turkish education. The aim of this study is to determine the perceptions of secondary school students about the concept of poetry through metaphors. Since the study aims to determine the perceptions of secondary school students towards the concept of “poetry” and the meanings they attribute to these perceptions, phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research designs, was preferred. The study group consisted of 148 secondary school students studying in a public school. In order to determine the metaphorical perceptions of the participants about the concept of “poetry”, they completed the sentence, “Poetry is like … because …”. The data obtained were analyzed by content analysis method. At this stage, firstly, the invalid ones were eliminated from the data obtained and then these data were coded and divided into eight different categories. Afterwards, the information was presented descriptively in tables. As a result, it was determined that secondary school students’ metaphors related to the concept of “poetry” did not change and differentiate according to the grade level, and it was determined that all of the students attributed positive meanings to poetry. In addition, it was observed that the majority of the students tried to explain the concept of “poetry” with concrete metaphors and attributed very different meanings to “poetry” based on reasoned metaphors. In addition, it has been determined that most of the students see poetry as the interpreter of emotions and the source of life.

Abstract:
The literary-critical study is devoted to the work of the master of Turkish visual poetry, Yusuf Bal, and contains a short excursion into the history of the development of Turkish literature in the late 20th – early 21st centuries and discussions about the visual literary works of this period. The main direction in the Turkish literature of the mentioned period is determined – postmodernism, represented by various modifications and its inherent specifics. In this context, the state of visual poetry in modern Turkish literature is considered; special attention is paid to the poetry of Y. Bal. The main features of the poetic heritage of Y. Bal are determined, a classification of his visual poems is proposed, the inner content and the outer shell of his works are analysed, the weighted "aesthetic" and "substantial" of the poetry of the Turkish author. Considering that in Turkey, modern visual poetry is presented in two types: 1) poetry, full of meaning and aesthetic design; 2) works in which visualization prevails, and the text core is either absent or only partially present, the work of Y. Bal is attributed to the first type, after all, the analysis of the works themselves, and the acquaintance with the interview given by the author, is evidence of the depth of the poetic word with its no less profound and talented visual framing. The theme of Yusuf Bal's works is as social and close to people as possible, the author's speech is not distinguished by excessive pretentiousness, rhythm and partial rhyme are inherent in his poetry, which makes his style even more relaxed and easy to understand. As a conclusion, the work of Y. Bal is a postmodern continuation of the centuries-old tradition of creating visual poetry, demonstrates the author's ability to combine content with an image, sometimes creating intrigue, a riddle, and can be an example to follow.

His poetry was in the shape of a rhyming couplets. Nabi was also capable of popular proverbs and aphorisms. He is the one who established a poetic style for himself along with his contemporaries, that is the style of poetry of Nudhum.

Ibrahim Zeki Burdurlu and Arif Nihat Asya, who worked as teachers in Cyprus, expressed their impressions of Cyprus and shared the problems faced by the Turkish Cypriots. Ibrahim Zeki Burdurlu has a very soft expression. When history and Cyprus come together, the values of a literature teacher extending from Namık Kemal to Gazi Kemal are expressed. Arif Nihat Asya was a teacher in Cyprus and wrote poems similar to that of İbrahim Zeki Burdurlu. Probably the indifference of the measure and the occasional immeasurability, which are among the elements of Burdurlu's poetry, have aroused influence in Turkish Cypriot poetry. In the meantime, although the understanding of populist poetry nurtured the understanding of easy-to-write poetry, it was effective in Burdurlu's poems. In this study, Cyprus, Ibrahim Zeki Burdurlu and Arif Nihat Asya's poems in post-Republic Turkish poetry will be examined comparatively with example poems by completing them especially in terms of using language. Abstract:
This thesis demonstrates how the development of my work as a translator implicitly challenges some of the principal values and assumptions inscribed in the works of my predecessors. I identify what these values and assumptions are in the process of translating poetry from Turkish to English, and why they present particular problems. Throughout, I show how these problems can be reconceptualised, re-examined, and overcome. In section 2 I contextualise my work in the field of literary translation from Turkish to English during the period 1900 to 2012. I sub-divide this period of translation activity into three distinct phases and further justify this sub-division by contextualising these phases in relation to changing attitudes and tastes toward Turkish poetry, particularly in light of increased availability of financial support for translators and increased opportunities to publish literary works in translation. In section 3 I focus on translations of İlhan Berk to demonstrate differences in practice that distinguish my work from the work of my contemporaries. I further extend this comparative analysis of translation strategies in section 4 where I examine the dominant values and constraints influencing choice in the reading and re-making of Turkish poems in English. Finally, in section 5, I shift perspective to provide a descriptive commentary of critical reactions to some of my translation work.

Abstract:
The thesis explores the ideological aspect of modern Turkish love poetry by focusing on the works of major poets and movements between 1923 and 1980. The approach to the theme of love was metaphorical and mystical in classical Ottoman poetry. During the period of modernisation (1839-1923), poets either rejected the theme of love altogether or abandoned Islamic aesthetics and adopted a Parnassian approach arguing that love was the expression of desire for physical beauty. A great variety of discourses on love developed during the republican period. Yahya Kemal sets the theme of love in Ottoman Istanbul and mourns the end of the relationship with the beloved who incarnates his conservative vision of national identity. The Five Syllabists contrast treacherous and sensual love in the city with pure and simple love in the Anatolian countryside, thus reflecting the Anatolianism of the nationalist intelligentsia. Nazim Hikmet approaches the theme from a variety of angles. He explores the links between love and human solidarity and humanises the beloved by writing about her in a realistic context. The Bizarre movement discusses the theme of love in the framework of its subjective realism and focuses more on the effects of love on the individual than on love itself Socialist poets do not approach the theme uniformly but all of them advocate a socially engaged realism and are opposed to the individualism of Bizarre. The movement of the Second Renewal equates love with sexuality and explores its impact on human relationships. Islamist poets too adopt a realist stance. They abandon the idealised gardens of the divan tradition and go on a mystical quest in the harshness of everyday reality. The ideological convictions of all these movements and poets are mainly expressed in the choice of setting of the relationship, in the image of the beloved and in the definition of love.

Cette thèse envisage de regarder la poésie de Yahya Kemal qui a vécu pendant une périodequi correspond au temps de l'écroulement de l'Empire ottoman et de la fondation de laRépublique turque, à un moment où les problèmes de la modernisation, de l'identitéoccidentale et orientale occupent intensément le climat intellectuel turc, sous l'angle de laquestion de l'influence. Yahya Kemal est considéré, avec Ahmet Ha#im, comme le fondateurde la poésie turque. La première partie de la thèse a pour objectif d'interpréter la modernitédans le cadre de la notion de 'devenir' avancée par Gilles Deleuze et Felix Guattari.Dans la deuxième partie, la position de Baudelaire en tant que fondateur de la poésie moderneoccidentale est de nouveau traitée dans le cadre des notions mises en avant par Deleuze etGuattari. Ces concepts sont les suivants : 'et', 'devenir', 'régime signifiant', 'régime postsignifiant'et 'synthèse disjonctive'. Dans cette partie, d'une part les reflets de l'approchecritique de Baudelaire sur Yahya Kemal, et de l'autre le 'devenir moderne' de la poésie deYahya Kemal sont traités en partant de certaines notions avancées pour définir la poésiemoderne. Il s'agit du 'lyrisme', de l''obscurité' et de l''intertextualité'. Ces notions vontmontrer que le 'devenir moderne' de la poésie n'est pas indépendante de son 'demeurertraditionnel'. En outre, l'interaction entre la poésie de Yahya Kemal et celle de l'autrefondateur de la poésie turque, Ahmet Ha#im, est significative. La dernière partie de la thèseenvisage une reflexion sur la façon dont l'influence de Baudelaire et celle de Nedîm serejoignent, s'interagissent et jouent un rôle dans la construction de la poésie de Yahya Kemal.Cette partie vise à comprendre pourquoi Baudelaire et Nedîm se distinguent parmi lesnombreux poètes ayant influencés Yahya Kemal. Abstract:
The languages with which God has honored His servants, believers and non-believers, are all one of His signs and one of His effects. It is natural for human languages to borrow words from each other due to several factors, including religion, juxtaposition, mixing, and so on. The Turkish language borrowed many words from the Arabic language, and the Islamic religion was the main factor in this borrowing. Through this research, I wanted to show a small amount of contemporary Turkish poetry’s borrowing of Arabic words that the poet used in his poetic experience. The choice fell on the poet Mustafa Alp Aydin. Because he is one of the most prominent contemporary poets in the Turkish state of Kilis, adjacent to the Syrian border, and the president of the Kilis Poets and Writers Association. I chose his poem (The Words of Kels) to be the subject of study in this research. Because it contains quite a few Arabic words that distinguish the dialect of Kilis from others, I wanted this study to be one of the research lamps that illuminate the way for researchers in this type of studies. The importance of the research is evident in its treatment of a poet who has not been studied before, in the fact that this poet belongs to a state adjacent to Arab geography, and in his treatment of this topic in Turkish poetry and not in other types of speech. The research adopts the methods of description, analysis, induction, and deduction. It describes the Arabic words contained in this poem, analyzes them linguistically, and extrapolates the law of their use in the studied poem as a model of contemporary Turkish poetry that used Arabic words, and reaches conclusions based on this extrapolation

Since ancient times, Arabic poetry has been a depiction of everything that is happening in the Arab environment that surrounds the poet wherever he is, and his igniting flame has not been extinguished in their souls, despite the subjugation of the Arab world to the rule of non-Arabs after Islam. It is known that the Arab Muslims set out from the Arabian Peninsula as conquerors and heralds of the serious Islamic religion, and as a result of this the entry of nonArabs into Islam that enlightened the darkness of their hearts, so the Persians, Romans, Copts, Abyssinians, Turks, and others will be enlightened by his guidance... Muslim rulers will succeed in ruling the Islamic state Arabs and non-Arabs, such as Persians, Turks, Kurds, and others. And when the Turkish Ottoman state was established on an Islamic religious basis, the Turkish Muslims carried the banner of Islam, so they defended it, relying on Muslims of all nations, from the Turks, the Laz, the Arabs, and others, so the Islamic Ottoman rule extended over common areas that included almost the entire Arab lands, and they did not differentiate between Muslim and another in view of his race, color or geography. However, this matter did not satisfy the lurking enemies who wanted sedition and division between the Arabs and the Turks, so they stirred up the winds of nationalism that some Arab poets sought in the modern era, such as Ibrahim al-Yaziji and Khalil Mutran. Herein lies the importance of the research, its objective, and its value. The research uses the descriptive and analytical approaches in order to highlight the manifestations of this brotherhood, which received sufficient attention from Arab poets in the modern era.

Abstract:
Within the Turkish state tradition, the majority of Turkish Khans are also poets. It is known that some of them even had a divan or had enough poems to form a divan. These khans, as well as being poets themselves, gathered artists around them during their time, protected them and rewarded them in various ways for the poems they wrote. Babur is one of the important Turkish khans who bears this title. The ruler who owns a divan is one of the poets. In his memoirs (Vekayi/Babürname), he mentioned the names of some poets around him or in the places he was in and shared his thoughts about them, their poems and their poetry. Especially Ali Şir Nevayî has an important place in his artistic life.

Abstract:
Classical Turkish literature is a literary tradition of approximately six centuries, within the general development of Turkish literature, whose theoretical and aesthetic principles were formed within the circle of Islamic civilization and shaped especially by the influence of Arabic and Persian literature. Classical Turkish literature, which is based on religious, historical, mythological and folklore foundations, also serves as a historical source with the "human" element it contains. Its’ statesmen, scholars, philosophers, poets, religious and sufi elders, legendary heroes and similar figures who left their mark on the culture and history of the society in which they lived are the most important sources of Classical Turkish Literature. Starting from this point, in this study, the names of the individuals mentioned in the Divan of Babur, one of the most important works of Chagatai Turkish, were examined and it was aimed at revealing the influence of the individuals within Babur's poetry world.

It is known from history that Central Asia has given the world many thinkers, poets and generals. Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur Mirza, one of the most complex, most attractive and greatest figures of our history, a unique person, took a proud place in world history during his short life of only forty-seven years. What Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur saw and experienced from the day he ascended the throne to his death is "Vaqoye" (this work is also called "Vaqeoti Baburiy", "Tuzuki Baburiy", "Tawarikhi Baburiy", "Baburiyya" in other sources. Later it was called "Baburnoma" saying is written in ) which has become a picture. His elegant ghazals and rubai are the rarest masterpieces of Turkish poetry, and his treatise on "Mubayyin" ("Declared"), "Hatti Baburiy", "Harb ishi" and Aruz became a worthy contribution to the fields of Islamic jurisprudence, poetry and linguistic theory.

Abstract:
India, which has been a long-time ally of Turkic states throughout history, has had a dense Turkish population, especially as a result of the expeditions made by the Ghaznels, Timur and Baburls to North India. During the campaigns of Mahmud of Ghazni, many families with the surname Türkîolan can be found even today in Muradâbâd, Sambhal and Rampurgibi regions in Northern India, where the Turkish population settled. It is known that a significant Turkish population settled here during Timur's expeditions to Kabul, Punjab, Sind and Delhi after Ghazni. As a matter of fact, the Kutbils (1206-1266), Balabans (1266-1290), Kalach Sultanate (1290-1320), Tughluqs (1320-1414), Seyyids (1414-1451) and Lods (1451) ruled in North India from the 13th century. -1526) were able to gain power by taking advantage of the power of the Turkish population that had settled here before. Babur's defeat of Lûdîler in 1526 and the conquest of North India, unlike other expeditions, means the beginning of a permanent rule in this region. During the period when Babur sat on the throne for about five years, the importance he gave to Turkish in this region, along with Persian and Hindi, ensured that Turkish was spoken in the palace and that Turkish developed as a language of poetry. In this respect, Chagatai Turkish is a "new field"52 where the Timur literary tradition continues in North India, and it also represents a symbol of cultural dominance. This issue will be addressed in our work.

In the study, Efruz Bey, who is in the stories of the author, is discussed. The words in the work have been determined in terms of their origin, and the uses of these words have been concretized with examples. The words in the text were then classified according to the languages they were found in. Dictionary study word frequency studies are studies that reveal the frequency of use of words used in a language. Dictionaries are resources that contain the words of a language alphabetically, including idioms and example sentences of that language

Ontological theory has developed with unnamed ideas since Aristotle. Roman Ingarden talked about the layers of being in his works of art. Ontology has come to the fore especially when analyzing the texts of poetry. Ontological theory works by not paying attention to extra-textual elements in the analysis of a text. It focuses on the text itself. It tries to understand the layers of literary text. Ontological Theory in Turkish Literature came to the forefront with Takyettin Mengüşoğlu and İsmail Tunalı's work called Art Ontology. İsmail Tunalı's work named Art Ontology has been published. After the publication of Art Ontology, it is seen that the publications on ontology have increased. Later, Ontological Theory gradually became one of the criteria for evaluating the work of art in our literature. Key words: Ontology, Theory, Art, Work, Criticism.
