Nowadays, the production and exploration of gold has an increased importance all over the world. Recycling is a significant source for the supply of gold and has a pronounced effect on its price. The flotation method, which is more economical and more environmentally friendly than cyanide leaching, has been investigated for recycling gold and silver from jewellery slag. A jewellery slag sample containing 28.3 ppm Au and 42.0 ppm Ag was obtained from a refinery in Turkey. Flotation concentrate assaying 614.6 ppm Au and 511 ppm Ag was achieved with recoveries of 89.0% and 83.2%, respectively. On

We examined Instagram photos of 10 bikini fitness athletes and completed interviews with them. We analysed data by conducting quantitative and qualitative content analysis. The findings show that both bikini fitness and Instagram are modern forms of self-surveillance for Turkish female athletes. Bikini fitness dictates (hetero)normative femininity norms such as femininity, sexuality and heterosexual desirability with a feminine glance,

Turkey has a significant amount of mineral content from a geological perspective, offering essential resources, especially in mining (ornamental stone production). In this study, methods are being developed for the extraction, processing, and usability of calcite minerals, which develop as vein fillings (secondary formations) among fragmented limestone along the Bayburt-Erzurum highway for ornamental stone use. The chemical and crystallographic properties of the mineral were determined through XRD and FTIR analyses, and its suitability for ornamental stone use was evaluated. (durable, clean, a

The jewel beetle genus Agrilus (Family Buprestidae) has over 3000 species (Kelnarova et al., 2019), all of which are strictly phytophagous, with adults feeding on leaves, and their larvae feeding on the living subcortical tissues of trees and shrubs. Larval feeding can be sufficient to kill a host, especially when it has already been weakened by other abiotic (e.g. drought), and/or biotic (e.g. defoliation) factors (Kelnarova et al., 2019 and references therein). Furthermore, Agrilus species have a proven invasive potential facilitated by their relatively long-lived larvae th
