Abstract:
In this paper, the rule of infinite twin primes is found. Generally speaking, the superposition of twin primes produces a third pair. A pair of twin primes plus a pair of twin primes produces a third pair, Starting with the third pair of twin prime pairs, for each pair of twin prime pairs, two pairs of twin prime pairs can always be found in the preceding pair, such that their sum is equal to the sum of this pair of twin prime pairs; Or from the second pair of twin primes (an,bn), at least one pair of twin primes can always be found in front of it, such that their sum is equal to the sum of some pair of twin primes following this pair (an,bn).

Abstract:
In this article, we study some new properties of twin primes and algorithms for their generation. We find the necessary conditions to generate a pair of twins. These conditions seem to indicate that the conjecture is true, namely, there are infinitely many twin primes. Furthermore, we developed some algorithms that are very useful from a computer science point of view, which can be applied in cryptography and data encryption.

Abstract:
For two millennia, the prime numbers have continued to fascinate mathematicians. Indeed, a conjecture which dates back to this period states that the number of twin primes is infinite. In 1949 Clement showed a theorem on twin primes. For the record, the theorem of Clement has quickly been known to be ineffective in the development of twin primes because of the factorial. This is why I thought ofusing the additive theory of numbers to find pairs of twin primes from the first two pairs of twin primes. What I have formulated as a conjecture. In same time i presentmy idea about the solution of the Goldbach’s weak conjecture.

Abstract:
The Twin Primes Conjecture (TPC) is one of the oldest, unsolved problems in math- ematics. This paper introduces a function which acts as a sieve, eliminating all possible places where twin primes cannot occur in the natural numbers, N. With this function, we, then, analyze its range and form a combinatorial argument to count the number of twin prime pairs.

Abstract:
Although twin-spotted rattlesnakes (Crotalus pricei ) were first identified more than a century ago, little has been published about the ecology of this species and no information has been available regarding population characteristics. During 1997--99, I captured, measured, and marked 117 C. pricei in the Chiricahua Mountains to address this need for information. Lizards constituted the bulk of C. pricei prey, but their diet also included mammals, birds, and snakes. Mating and parturition were concentrated in August and early September. Movement patterns varied dramatically from year to year, as males moved substantially farther during the 1998 monsoon season (July--September) than in 1997. Crotalus pricei are sometimes collected illegally for the pet trade. About 90 people may have hunted for C. pricei at a well-known site during 1997--98. On average, snakes at this site were 38.1 mm smaller than snakes at other sites, an observation that could be attributed to collecting pressure.

Prats, Rodríguez Pilar. "Cribado de aneuploidias de primer trimestre en las gestaciones gemelares." Doctoral thesis, Universitat de Barcelona, 2013. http://hdl.handle.net/10803/291436.

Full text
Abstract:
From February 2007 to June 2011, 447 twin pregnancies were enrolled in this study. 402 (89.9%) eran bicoriales y 45 (10.1%) monocoriales. This thesis is based in two articles: Article I: Early first-trimester free-β-hCG and PAPP-A serum distributions in monochorionic and dichorionic twins Objective: To examine the distribution of first-trimester biochemical markers of aneuploidy in twins according to chorionicity. Methods: Maternal serum free-β-human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) and pregnancy-associated plasma protein A (PAPP-A) were measured between 8–13 + 6 weeks as a part of a routine first-trimester screening program in conjunction with fetal nuchal translucency measured at 11 to 13 + 6 weeks’ gestation. Data from 279 twin pregnancies were extracted from our fetal databases. Down syndrome cases were excluded. Individual marker concentrations were expressed as weight, ethnicity, smoking and maternal diabetes corrected. To compare the distributions of the biochemical parameters, a generalized additive model was used adjusted to a smoothing regression model with the values transformed with base 10’’ logarithm using R software (generalized additive model-smoothing spline regression). Results: Free-β-hCG and PAPP-A distributions, analyzed with a generalized additive model adjusted to a smoothing regression model, were significantly different depending on the chorionicity. We graphically displayed the relationship between the predicted concentration of the free-β-hCG and PAPP-A and the gestational age in days for monochorionic and dichorionic twins adjusted by weight. Conclusion: Pregnancy-associated plasma protein A and free-β-hCG values are gestational age specific. It is necessary to make a distinction between monochorionic and dichorionic twins because biochemical markers are lower in monochorionic than in dichorionic twins. Article II: First trimester risk assessment for trisomy 21 in twin pregnancies combining nuchal translucency and first trimester biochemical markers Objective: The aim is to describe the performance of first-trimester combined risk assessment in twin pregnancies. Methods: Maternal serum free beta-human chorionic gonadotrophin and pregnancy-associated plasma protein A (PAPP-A) were determined at 8 to 12 weeks and fetal nuchal translucency (NT) was measured at 11 to 13+6 weeks. The individual risk was estimated for each fetus using the combined test in dichorionic twins. In monochorionic twins, the mean risk assessment of the two fetuses was used. An invasive diagnostic procedure was offered when the risk was fi1 : 270 in either one of the fetuses. Results: From February 2007 to June 2011, 447 twin pregnancies were enrolled in this study. There were 402 (89.9%) dichorionic and 45 (10.1%) monochorionic twins. In dichorionic twins, mean crown–rump length (CRL) was 63.9mm; median NT multiples of the median (MoM) was 0.97; median !-hCG was MoM 1.74; median PAPP-A was 1.72. In monochorionic twins, mean CRL was 61.9mm; median NT MoM was 0. 98; median !-hCG MoM was 1.44; and median PAPP-A was 1.51. Two pregnancies with Down syndrome were detected by first trimester screening, both in dichorionic twins. The false positive rate was 5.7% (95% confidence interval 4.1–7.3) and 4.4% (95% confidence interval 0.1–8.8%) in dichorionic and monochorionic twins, respectively. Conclusions: The combined test in twins appears to be a good method for Down syndrome screening with a high detection rate and an acceptable false-positive rate.

Abstract:
The paper examines David Lynch’s television series Twin Peaks (1990–1991) and its profound influence on the US television landscape, particularly during the transition to multi-channel broadcasting and the emergence of “Quality TV”. Rather than conforming to the existing aesthetic and production norms associated with prime-time American television, Lynch developed a series that reflected his auteur vision and challenged the perception of television as a commercial medium. Instead of observing Twin Peaks as a singular occurrence, this paper observes the series’ innovative narrative strategies in the context of the rising tensions between artistic vision and commercial demands in the television industry. Drawing on Pierre Bourdieu’s field theory and Amanda Lotz’s discussion of the US television industry’s evolution, the paper explores how Twin Peaks, both in its original run and 2017 revival, mirrored broader shifts in the television landscape while showcasing the potential for auteur-driven experimentation within television. Finally, through an observation of Dale Cooper’s character arc, the paper illustrates the ongoing interaction between artistic innovation and commercial pressures in television, affirming Twin Peaks’ status as a groundbreaking work in television history.

Abstract:
Indian absorption industry started customizing chillers first based on material or electrical requirements, like chillers for hazardous areas or using materials such as titanium, cupronickel, stainless steel, cladded plates etc. However, as knowledge about chiller technology has improved, many cycle variations have been designed and fabricated to suit customer requirements. This is commercially possible due to lower technical manpower costs in India. Such efforts have resulted in over 20 % market share of absorption chillers in spite of unfavorable fuel prices (higher gas and oil prices than electricity cost). This paper describes some of the cycles used for different applications based on customers' requirement such as double absorbers, various types of single double-effect chillers, twin hot water machines, and absorption heat pumps. Double absorbers used in India are of two types: Horizontal double absorbers and vertical double absorbers. The cycle COP of such chillers can exceed 1.46.

Abstract:
The world is currently undergoing a shift in the power industry with an increase in the amount of electrical power being generated from natural gas. This is being driven, in part, by the increase in availability of natural gas derived from shale gas and the reduction in global natural gas prices. In parallel, there is a second trend; a shift of new gas turbines installations to higher efficiency F and HA-class gas turbine combined cycle platforms. Supporting these industry trends, GE’s DLN 2.6+ combustion system, which is available for the 7F, 9F, 7HA, and 9HA gas turbines offers a high degree of operational and fuel flexibility. The latest evolution of this combustion technology for GE’s 7F gas turbines has been commissioned on 25 units, including new units and upgrades to existing turbines. The increased fuel and operational flexibility of this system is aided by GE’s advanced control systems that includes a high fidelity digital twin. This paper details recent developments of the DLN 2.6+ combustion system as well as validation examples for both the DLN 2.6+ and the digital twin controls system.

Full text
Abstract:
This paper explores how oil price windfalls impact labor market regulation across 83 countries from 1970 to 2014. Findings reveal that windfall gains lead to deregulation in autocracies but not democracies, while windfall losses trigger deregulation in democracies. The paper examines how democracies use windfall gains to boost spending, whereas autocracies may focus on rent extraction and increasing economic efficiency. Deregulation in democracies during losses aligns with the crisis-induced reform hypothesis, linked to twin deficits and heightened banking crisis risks.

Abstract:
Despite a robust domestic economic performance, over the past number of years, the Irish enterprise sector has been hit with a series of external shocks. From Brexit to the COVID-19 pandemic and then the external inflationary shocks following the energy price crisis, enterprises have faced challenges that have put pressure on their sustainability in day-to-day operations and heightened uncertainty around their commitment to capital investment. Yet long-term investment is critical to enhance productivity and drive profitability going forward. Over and above these external shocks, firms are grappling with the twin challenge of decarbonisation and digitalisation. Understanding the trends in investment is therefore critical to determining how firms are adapting to the changing circumstances and how Ireland’s economy is building capacity for future growth. Given this backdrop, this report provides a detailed examination of the SME investment across a range of asset categories. It explores how these investments are financed and the investment challenges faced by SMEs in the current environment. Although SMEs make up the bulk of firms and employment in Ireland, aggregate statistics on investment activity tend to be dominated by larger firms. This report uses firm-level data collected as a specific module on the Department of Finance Credit Demand Survey to provide a statistical review of the key trends in SME investment. The report presents data from the Credit Demand Survey conducted in 2024 for the investments in year 2023. Annual time series comparisons back to 2016, with the exception of 2022, are also provided for context and comparison. The main findings in each of the analytical chapters are provided below.
