Abstract:
For the first time, the article analyzes the structural, semantic, pragmatic aspects of the poetics of the title “The Vicissitude of Fate” by I. A. Goncharov. The title is an explicitly integral part of the framework text. In addition, the expression “vicissitude of fate” is structured and implicit, since it is included in the main content of the work. The phrase “vicissitude of fate” is endowed with stable semantic features, which were reflected in the works of other 19th-century writers: I. I. Lazhechnikov, N. V. Gogol, A. N. Ostrovsky, M. E. Abstract:
In 2-dimensional topology, quotients of polygons by edge-pairings provide a rich source of examples of closed, connected, orientable surfaces. In fact, they provide all such examples. The 3-dimensional analogue of an edge-pairing of a polygon is a face-pairing of a faceted 3-ball. Unfortunately, quotients of faceted 3-balls by face-pairings rarely provide us with examples of 3-manifolds due to singularities that arise at the vertices. However, any face-pairing of a faceted 3-ball may be slighted modified so that its quotient is a genuine manifold, i.e. free of singularities. The modified face-

I argue that, despite his less than heroic attributes, David Lurie is the protagonist of an adventure and follows Joseph Campbell’s pattern of the hero’s ditto. Furthermore, the goal of David Lurie’s journey lies in self-realization and self-reinvention, which is not typical for the hero’s journey. The Ultimate Boon is usually something else but different times call for different heroes. In J.M. The bitwist construction, originally discovered by Cannon, Floyd, and Parry, gives us a new method for finding face pairing descriptions of 3-manifolds. In this paper, I will describe the construction in a way suitable for a more general audience than the original research papers. Along the way, I will describe Dehn Surgery and a set of moves which allows us to change the framings of a link without changing the topology of the manifold obtained by Dehn Surgery. Once the theory has been developed, I will apply it to find several bitwist representations of the Poincaré Sphere and 3-Torus. Fina

The topic of cleft lip and/or palate is widely researched in literature. However no research to date has focused on mothers' experiences raising twins when one twin is born with a cleft lip and/or palate. This qualitative study aims to explore the unigue experiences of these mothers. The epistemological foundations of this study are postmodern, social constructionist and systemic. In accordance with a gualitative methodology data was collected in the form of the participants' personal written stories. This was done from a post-modern paradigm, from a systemic perspective. In critical data studies, biometric AI is commonly recognized as a mechanism of exclusion (cf. e.g., Amoore, 2006; Gates, 2011). The technology which is "built to measure life" (Ajana, 2013) processes digital representations of biological data in order to identify and authenticate individuals. Founded on the ideology and governmentality of dataism (van Dijck, 2014), the datafication of embodied identity reduces existence to discrete measurable results, within an imaginary of data as a source of unlimited knowledge. This work examines the viability of the sandwich twist (anticlastic) test as a means to determine the in-plane and transverse shear properties of the face sheets and core in sandwich materials through analysis and testing. The contribution of core transverse shear to the total compliance of the specimen is quantified for different material systems and the adequacy of classical laminated plate theory (CLPT) as a data reduction method for such a test is examined. Abstract Whilst the polyester rope is considered to be a matured technology that has been used as a mooring line in the offshore stationkeeping for more than 25 years, nowadays questions regarding synthetic rope constructions and its behavior still arise. One of these queries is related to the possible twisting that can be induced on the rope during the steps of mooring line installations. Although the recommendation of allowable twist can vary between manufacturers, the need to undo the twist to achieve those permitted twist levels could be a significant challenge. So the need to explore the
