An experimental investigation has been carried out to study the heat transfer in a two-phase two-component mixture flowing upward inside a 1" double pipe heat exchanger. The heat transfer coefficient was measured using either air to lift the liquid (air-lift system) or a mechanical pump. The production from an oil reservoir is a mixture of liquids (oil and water) and gas, and is often maintained by using a pump placed in the well to ensure a continuous flow to the surface. The diploma thesis deals with project documentation of new kindergartens in the cadastral area Rohatec. The building is self-standing, two-storey with a partial basement. It is a building designed for the upbringing and education of pre-school children. The capacity of kindergarten is 48 children divided into two classes. Part of the operation is a food preparation zone. The building is designed as a brick made of porous concrete blocks with mineral insulation, based on basic concrete passages. The roofing of the kindergarten is using warm flat roofs.

Reclamation success is highly dependent upon final soil quality of stockpiled soils, such as those found Cold Lake Oil Sands Region. Stockpiled soils, however, are generally poor in quality. Soils were amended with, biochar (BC), humalite (HU), a sub-bituminous coal; and peat (PT), as well as 50:50 blends of biochar:humalite (BCH) and biochar:peat (BCP). These amendments were applied at rates of 0, 6.55, 13.1 and 26.2 g C kg-1 each. Με τη διατριβή έγινε ανασκόπηση των πιο γνωστών θεωριών που διέπουν τις πολυφασικές ροές. Ακολούθησε συλλογή και κριτική αξιολόγηση των θεωρητικών μοντέλων. Εκπονήθηκαν δύο προγράμματα σε Η/Υ, τόσο για την ομογενή ροή όσο και τη χωριστή ροή. Έγινε σύγκριση των θεωρητικών με υπάρχοντα πειραματικά αποτελέσματα. Σχεδιάστηκε και κατασκευάστηκε πειραματική διάταξη. Λήφθηκαν πειραματικές μετρήσεις και έγινε αξιολόγησή τους και σύγκριση με θεωρητικά αποτελέσματα. Προτάθηκε μέθοδος διόρθωσης της πρόβλεψης λειτουργίας μιας υδροπνευματικής αντλίας με τη βοήθεια του μοντέλου ‘drift-flux’ (μέθοδος CoSM).
