Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to analyze the tourism mix factor that differentiates tourists in choosing the type of tourism object as a basis for formulating strategies to attract tourists. This research is a quantitative study using a survey approach. The sample in this study was 200 respondents, consisting of 100 respondents of natural tourism visitors and 100 respondents of artificial tourism visitors. The analytical tool used in this study was descriptive analysis and discriminant analysis with the Stepwise method. The results of this study indicate that the variables that differentiate tourists from choosing natural tourism objects and artificial tourism objects are coolness, advertisements, facilities, prices, locations, travel agents, tourist attractions, transportation facilities and infrastructure, and public hospitality. Tourists who choose natural tourism objects have more positive attitude concerned with the variables of coolness, price, public hospitality, the existence of a travel agency, and the availability of transportation facilities and infrastructure, while visitors who choose artificial tourism objects have more positive attitude or are more concerned with location variables, advertisements, tourist attractions, and completeness of the facilities. This study provides a clear guidance on the tourism mix factor that distinguishes domestic tourists in Indonesia which is still very limited and need further investigation.

Abstract:
The successful development of tourism requires proper legal regulation. At the same time, the diversity of the types of tourism is virtually neglected by the legislator and does not receive due attention of the legal scholars. This question is being regulated fragmentary and inconsistently on the level of bylaws and legislation of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Occasional use of improper terminology, discrepancy in understanding of the essence of same types of tourism, disregard of their peculiarities impairs the effectiveness of state administration of tourism sector, negatively affects the quality of tourism services, and distorts the representations of Russia as a tourism friendly country. The article analyzes the grounds for classification of the types of tourism that have legal bearing: depending on the place of permanent residence of the tourist, on the purpose of tourist trips, on the way of organization of trip, on the social and age category of tourists. The conclusion is formulated that the key direction in improving sectoral tourism legislation consists in consolidation of extensive classification of the types of tourism and definition of concepts included therein in the Federal Law “On the Fundamentals of Tourism Activity”. For the purpose of unification of terminology, further development of tourism legislation, and improved quality of state administration of the tourism sector, the author proposes the original classification of tourism.

Abstract:
The tourism market in Ukraine is facing a significant imbalance in the distribution of tourist flows in different regions, due to different climatic conditions, traditions and customs, the presence of historical, cultural and architectural monuments, different priorities in the regional strategic economic development. All this determines the differentiation of the developing tourist activities by the reason and purpose of a tourist’s journey. The topic being high on the agenda, the article examines the current state and trends in the development of tourism types in Ukraine by the purpose of a tourist’s journey. In particular, grounding on the statistics of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the author has assessed the dynamics of distributing tourists served by tour operators, travel agents who are legal entities, and travel agents who are individual entrepreneurs, by purpose of a tourist’s journey and by tourism types for the period 2011-2020. Taking research by domestic and foreign scientists on the tourism issue, the theoretical approaches are highlighted to classifying types of tourism and interpreting such types as business, educational, health, and sports tourism. Having analyzed the peculiarities of the tourism sector development in Ukraine in 2011–2020 as for the tourism types identified by the purpose of a tourist’s journey, the author has come to conclusion that most tourists prefer journeys organized for leisure and recreation. Regional distribution of tourists served by tour operators and travel agents who traveled for leisure and recreation during 2019-2020 is analyzed, and the regions of Ukraine that are characterized by the highest percentage of tourists traveling for leisure and recreation are identified. A study of the tourism development trends in view of tourism types by the purpose of a tourist’s journey will help to identify priority areas, strengths and weaknesses of the tourism market, problems, threats, and barriers to tourism development, as well as potential opportunities that will effectively position Ukraine in the tourism market.

Abstract:
Abstract Tourist maps are one of the most common groups of cartographic documents. Their variety in terms of content, subject matter and publication titles is a result of growing popularity of diverse forms of tourism activity. The aim of the authors of this article is to demonstrate issues related to tourist maps, including their variety in relation to contemporary forms of tourism. As tourist maps are constantly developing, the authors decided to propose a classification of tourist maps which is adequate from the point of view of the types of maps we currently distinguish. Taking into consideration the aim and type of tourism, the maps were divided into the following sub-groups: maps for sightseeing tourism, qualified tourism, and other tourism, as well as tourist city maps, and maps prepared for promotion and advertising of tourism. The first there categories were further divided into more detailed sub-categories and each of them was described briefly in terms of its content. The classification of maps based on their scales and form of content presentation was also included. The authors attempted also to define the concept of “tourist map” itself. The authors defined it as a geographic representation of an area presented on a plane, in accordance with specific mathematical rules, which should include topographic contents, information about tourist attractions of a given area, its tourist and complementary infrastructure, presented with the help of conventional signs, in a matter appropriate for the scale of the map and its intended use. Contributing to the discussion on the place of tourist map in the general classification of maps, the article distinguishes not only general-geographic maps and thematic maps, but also orientation and navigation maps. This terms covered tourist maps, road maps, and navigation maps: sailing, sea, aerial and city maps. They consist a group of maps in which the functions they play determine their informational content and their form of cartographic presentation. However, unlike on thematic maps, where the general geographic content is merely a background for presentation of the theme-related phenomena, the geographic content is essential in case of tourist maps. It is precisely the general geographic content which is primarily responsible for communicating information which is meant to be used for orientation and navigation purposes.

Abstract:
The term “specialized tourism” has been widely used in Ukrainian academic literature for the last few decades. The analysis of main publications reveals that this term refers to different types of tourism, which are usually known as “niche tourism” in foreign literature. Another term “special interest tourism” or SIT sounds very similar, but in fact, it has a bit different and narrower meaning. Such a difference in terms between Ukrainian and English-language publications is caused by differences in economic systems of so-called “capitalist” and “socialist” countries in the past. The term “niche tourism” comes from the concept of “niche market”, which appeared in the western economic literature under conditions of market economy. Instead, in the former USSR, in terms of a command economy, the concept of “specialization” was more popular, so the term “specialized tourism” appeared. Due to the analysis of the development of the concept of specialized (niche) tourism in domestic and foreign academic literature we got the possibility to clarify its contemporary content. Specialized (niche) tourism is a set of different types of tourism, targeted at clearly defined and relatively stable groups of tourists forming market segments (microniches), quite narrow but sufficient for the creation of individual tourist products. Niches can be separated based on different criteria such as the purpose of travelling, special needs of tourists or special features of tourism destinations. The most important features of specialized (niche) tourism are as follows: well-defined and relatively stable target group of tourists; market segmentation based on aforementioned criteria; products targeted at narrow market segments (micronishes) and tailored to the specific requirements of tourists; niche size sufficient for the creation of individual tourist products. Key words: tourism, types of tourism, specialized tourism, niche tourism, special interest tourism, tourist product.

The use of springs is becoming increasingly important in tourism. There are many springs in Western Kazakhstan that can be used to develop various types of tourism. Springs can be used for health, ecological, religious and other types of tourism. Today, health and spa tourism is one of the fastest growing sectors of world tourism. The historical and cultural heritage, and biodiversity associated with the springs also fascinate people, and many of them can become unique tourist destinations with high visual impact. The article gives characteristics of springs, self-flowing artesian wells, underground cave lakes of Western Kazakhstan and indicates their tourist potential for travellers and local. However, despite the high recreational potential of springs, tourism as a whole is not developed enough to provide quality tourism services and attract a large number of tourists to the region. An analysis of the tradition of tourist use of springs has been carried out and the main types of modern recreation are justified based on an assessment of the tourist potential of springs.

COVID-19 has led to the biggest tourism crisis in modern Spanish history. Although its borders were opened in June 2020, incoming international tourism to Spain was very low. Tourist behavior, however, has been very diverse between types of tourism. Data from credit card transactions showing tourist behavior in 33 destinations representative of various types of tourism were analyzed. Results show that differences in tourist behavior between destinations can be explained by risk perception and the proximity of the destination to home, which favors natural areas and charming coastal cities. This study contributes to the academic literature by studying the effective behavior of international tourists in the time of COVID-19.

Abstract:
Purpose. The purpose of this study is to describe the types of tourism, to indicate which color names are used, to analyze the prospects of their development for the Lviv region, and justify the feasibility of introducing a new type of tourism for the Lviv region using the color names “red” and “black”, which are symbols of the OUNR and components of their revolutionary flag. Design/methodology/approach. The goals set in the study were solved using the following general scientific methods: – methods of synthesis and analysis (in the study of various types of tourism to denote which color names are used. This allowed to connect the types of tourism with the association of tourists with a particular event (red tourism), place of travel (green, white, blue tourism), the tourist's desire to get strong impressions or emotions (black tourism), a certain category of tourists (pink and grey tourism) or as a field of research aimed at protecting the tourist heritage from any forms of crime and danger (yellow tourism)); – methods of systematization, theoretical generalization, and abstraction (in formulating conclusions and generalizing the obtained scientific results). Based on the dialectical approach, the article comprehensively discloses the provisions on black, white, red, green, pink, grey, blue, and yellow types of tourism. This allowed expanding the understanding of how promising these types of tourism are for the Lviv region. Findings. The article describes the following types of tourism, to indicate which color names are used: black, white, red, green, pink, blue, and yellow tourism. The importance of using the phenomenon of color in tourism is substantiated, color transmits certain information that evokes different associations, memories, feelings, affects mood and emotions. This allows marketers to use the features of the color influence on the formation of a subconscious decision as a hidden factor for manipulating the actions of consumers. Prospects for the development of these tourism types for the Lviv region are analyzed. It is concluded that the most promising are green and black tourism, less – white and grey tourism, and pink, blue and red types of tourism are hopeless for the Lviv region. An important role in the life of the people of Galicia (in particular, Lviv region) is played by historical events of the twentieth century, historical and cultural heritage, national liberation struggle, the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists socio-political movement, as well as recognition of the importance of Stepan Bandera in defending the national idea and struggle for the independent Ukrainian state. That is why the author introduced into scientific circulation a new promising type of tourism for the Lviv region using the color names “red” and “black”, which are symbols of the OUNR and components of their revolutionary flag. Practical implications. Increased interest in historical events, territory, and persons associated with the OUN can be used to organize a new niche of red-black tourism in Lviv while applying the concept of color names to better identify the essence of tourism, link to the historical figure, and specific territory, which will increase its attractiveness and form a certain image concerning these historical events, preservation and restoration of objects related to the activities of the OUN, and indirectly – to stimulate the socio-economic development of the territory. Originality/value. In the article, the author introduced into scientific circulation a new type of tourism for the Lviv region – “red-black tourism” that will include trips to places where Stepan Bandera lived, worked, and as well as visits to other territories and sites that played an important role in the national liberation struggle of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists. With the right organization, red-black tourism can have high prospects for development and become a business card of the Lviv region.

Abstract:
Purpose Understanding the essence of tourism flows is one of the fundamental undertakings of tourism geography research and a key issue behind effective destination management and development. However, thus far, few studies have analysed tourist movement on a national scale. This is due to the deficiency of spatially accurate data that can be used for recording tourists’ intra-national movements. This paper aims to illustrate the impact of major gateways on national tourism flows by using tracking data; and demonstrate and compare the use and applicability of tracking data on a national scale. Design/methodology/approach In this study, the authors analyse foreign tourists’ movements using two spatially and temporally precise tracking data sets – call detail records from passive mobile positioning data and GPS data from smartphones – in two countries, Estonia and Israel. The movements of international tourists entering the countries via main gateways are studied, with a focus on the impact of gateways on intra-national tourism flows. Findings The results clearly show the impact of gateways on the concentration of tourists. In the two respective countries, the critical mass of time was spent in close proximity to the gateway and, due to distance decay, a dramatic decrease was seen in visitation to areas that were distanced from both countries’ core areas. Originality/value To the best of authors’ knowledge, this is the first time when tourism flows attained from tracking data are compared on a national scale for two countries.

Abstract The article examines the relation of tourism and idyll in regard to the mediation of the tourist experience. Digital detox tourism and off grid tourism are two examples of contemporary tourism – including their respective practices and ways of promotion – that associate certain cultural stereotypes with the idyll. While digital detox tourism promises independence from the digital world, off grid tourism detaches the tourist from infrastructure and supplies. Paradoxically, the advertising of these types of ‘disconnection’ makes use of the same linked infrastructures that tourists are bound to leave behind. Thus, this article reveals the ways in which digital detox tourism and off grid tourism remain dependent on those networks.

The so-called experiential tourism alternative can be found without a clear definition. The clarity of the experiential concept depends on the perception that the traveler has. It may be that the experience you are looking for depends on the type of tourism you choose or frequent. For example, in the case of cultural tourism, the experience that the tourist seeks may be very different from adventure tourism for the practice of rappelling. Due to the lack of clarity in the definition, the experience tourism offer has been extended to various types of tourism and even to the combination of types of tourism. Experiential tourism is an opportunity for tourism service providers and is a range of options for tourists.

Abstract:
With the acceleration of globalization, international tourism has developed rapidly, especially in Seoul. Tourist bubble phenomenon appears with the development of international tourism. The term “tourist bubble” was originally proposed by Cohen, which conceptualized as the “protective walls” to reduce strangeness when tourist encounter a new environment and create a psychological space. The tourist bubble comprises a concentrated geographic area of tourist-oriented facilities and attractions, which is separated from its surrounding environment by spatially or psychologically created boundaries. Many studies focus more on the classification and formation process of the tourist bubble, but rarely involve tourists’ perception of tourist bubbles and the destination experience of tourists in the tourist bubble. Therefore, in this paper, it used Chinese tourists traveling in the tourist bubble of Seoul as a case to analyze the perception of international tourists on the tourist bubble phenomenon and the destination experience of tourists. It classified 5 types of Chinese tourists to identify their experience in Seoul. Abstract:
Rural tourism has come to occupy a prominent position in the debate about rural restructuring in all OECD countries, partly because of demand changes which favour rural tourism and partly because rural agencies recognise a need to provide economic activities with potential for growth in a rural economy in which traditional providers of rural employment (such as agriculture) have been shedding labour at a rapid rate. Well-designed strategy is essential to its success in impacting on the rural economy. The structures for collaboration and co-operation must be developed and combined with a process of education and training. Co-operative effort must be effective and sustainable. The tourism related businesses should not be isolated from the larger community and its issues. The principal motivation for a community, business or region to serve tourists is generally economic. An individual business is interested primarily in its own revenues and costs, while a community or region is concerned with tourism’s overall contribution to the economy, as well as social, fiscal and environmental impacts. A good understanding of tourism’s economic impacts is therefore important for the tourism industry, government officials, and the community as a whole. The principal objective of the study, that is reported here, was to determine the potential income of farmers from the provision of agro-tourism services. First, the paper reviews selected results of the visitor spending survey in alternative types of rural tourism of the region Southeast (Czech Republic); second the direct economic benefit of the agro-tourism in this region is estimated, and finally, critical factors reducing the effectiveness of agro-tourism as a rural development instrument are drawn.

The article discusses the concept of a natural recreational system (NRS) as a set of interconnected areas of inaccessibility, tourists, regulatory authorities and service personnel. For the development of tourism in natural areas, it is necessary to study the connections between these subsystems, which determined the purpose of the study – to structure the NRS, for which it is necessary: to study the subsystem of tourists, engaged in various types of nature-oriented tourism; examine the subsystems of regulatory bodies and service personnel and determine their functions; to analyze the mutual influence of four NRS subsystems. The first subsystem includes areas of inaccessibility, on the territory of which different types of travel are carried out. The second subsystem consists of tourists traveling in areals of inaccessibility, where they are engaged in nature-oriented, active, sports, ecological and extreme tourism, as well as recreation. The third subsystem consists of bodies that control tourist processes in areas of inaccessibility. This includes the Ministry of Emergencies, which regulates the activities of search and rescue services responsible for search and rescue on the territory of Russia. Route qualification commissions are the controlling body of sports tourism. Insurance companies can interact with tourists involved in all types of nature tourism. The fourth subsystem is optional; it consists of service personnel and, in some cases, tourist infrastructure. At the same time, there are direct and feedback links between the subsystem of tourists and the subsystems of regulatory bodies and service personnel. There are only direct links between the tourist subsystem and areals of inaccessibility.

AbstractIn Slovenia, farm tourism is among the most important supplementary activities on farm. On the other hand, its role within tourism sector is rather modest. The paper approaches the phenomenon of farm tourism from tourism supply and demand perspectives. Employed qualitative methods involved farm tourism holders and potential tourists on farm. The results have pointed out that the occurrence of tourist farms is primarily the result of farmers' needs and opportunities, and only on the second place of expressed demand of tourism market. Farm tourism supply and demand factors are interrelated in a rather complex way. Supply is only selectively influenced by (perceived) demand since farm tourism providers stick to extant idea/image of farm tourism and they are not putting it in question. In this way they also affect tourism demand since they shape a specific construct/image of farm tourism which attracts only some types of tourists.

Abstract:
Tourism is a complex industry involving numerous types of activities that can have adverse environmental impacts and, over time, gradually change the way tourists experience tourist destinations and their choice of particular tourist destinations. The overall aim of this study is to examine the impact of tourism destination exploitation upon the perceived attractiveness of a particular destination to different types of visitors using the Purism Scale coupled to the Tourism Area Life Cycle (TALC). The study uses the system dynamics Causal Loop Diagram (CLD) approach, to analyse feedback loop behaviour and causal loop impacts over time. The results show that the different visitors’ types, as defined by the Purist Scale, affect the attractiveness of the tourist destination in different ways over time. The results further show that different visitors’ types cannot exist at their own optimum level at the same time in a destination. The concept tourism carrying capacity should thus be defined through the maximum site attractiveness,-based upon the optimum size of infrastructure that ensures low visual effect, low crowding effect, and low environmental impact. This enables better understanding of the different evolution phases of the tourist site during its push for infrastructure development.

Abstract:
The affirmation of Zlatibor as a tourist destination dates back to ancient times, so Zlatibor can be proud of its tradition of over 150 years. The turning point in the development of Zlatibor tourism is the visit of the Serbian sovereign Alexander I Obrenović. In 1893, two important tourist settlements were located on the mountain and residential objects were built. Therefore, the previously mentioned year is considered to be the beginning of organized tourism on Zlatibor. The second turning point in the development was the construction of a modern road that connected Užice with Kraljeva Voda, at the time when the interest of tourists exceeded the accommodation capacities. At the beginning of the 1930s due to the numerous values of Zlatibor, its favorable position and good transport connections with all parts of Serbia and neighboring countries, tourism on Zlatibor started to develop. The Zlatibor Resort, on the mountain of the same name, annually receives over one million overnight stays, mainly by domestic tourists, making it one of the most visited tourist destinations in the Republic of Serbia. The types of tourist services are sports, recreational, health and Congress tourism, and in recent years, tourist offers for children and youth have become more important. Accordingly, Zlatibor, as a tourist center, has no significant competition in Serbia or in the region. With further development and investment in tourism, Zlatibor will carry for a long time the epithet of the most visited and most attractive tourist destination of Serbia, despite its obvious shortcomings.

Abstract:
The development of tourism is based on tourism flow and studying a tourism flow network can help to elucidate its mechanism of operation. Transportation network is the path to realize the spatial displacement of tourism flow. This study used “Tencent migration” big data to explore the spatial distribution characteristics and rules of tourism flow in China, providing suggestions for the development of tourism. The results demonstrate that the 361 cities studied can be divided into three types: destination-oriented, tourist-origin-oriented, and destination-oriented and tourist-origin-oriented. There are significant differences in the quantity of flow, the area of concentration, and the factors affecting the flow in the three types of cities. The larger the flow of tourism between cities, the higher the network level, and the wider the network range. The high-level nodes are closely related, while the peripheral nodes are more widely distributed, with weak attractiveness and inconvenient traffic, forming a “core-edge” structure. Different network patterns are established for different modes of transportation. The degree of response of different types of transportation to distance is the main factor influencing the network patterns of diverse paths. These findings have practical implications for the choice of appropriate travel destinations and transportation modes for tourists.

Topicality. The development of domestic tourism is relevant today around the world, and Ukraine is no exception. One of the domestic tourism types for the country can be food tourism, which is still unequally developed within tourist destinations. Aim and tasks to assess the condition of food tourism development in Ukraine and to outline the prospects for its further development on the basis of the European experience. Research results. A promising area of tourist services market development is food tourism - a specialized type of tourism, focused on learning about the history, technology and culture of national dishes and products consumption, as well as training and professional development in cooking. Trends in the modern tourism market show a growing interest among consumers in these types of travel. According to the UNWTO (World Tourism Organization), most tourists mark the food aspect as the main reason for visiting a country, and argue that the gastronomic features of the country are one of the three main reasons in determining the place of tourist travel. Wine tours in Zakarpattia, Odessa, Kherson and Mykolayiv regions are gaining the most popularity in Ukraine among the actively demanded directions of tourist and gastronomic activity. Deep cultural traditions, in particular in food, for which Ukraine is famous, create preconditions for the formation of numerous interesting gastronomic tours for both domestic and foreign tourists. Conclusion. Current trends in the development of food tourism in Ukraine indicate its significant potential and opportunities for professional development, because now this area of tourism is engaged in a limited number of tourism companies; Most trips are organized to Lviv, Zakarpattia and Poltava regions, where there are strong national traditions, the formation of their own gastronomic brands and geographical indications, a strong authentic culture and specific culinary preferences. The combinatorial capabilities of gastronomic tourism, which are actively used in European practice, open its perspectives in the domestic tourism sector, in particular, increasing employment of local people and strengthening the competitiveness of agro-industrial, recreational and agricultural regions and multinational areas of our country.

It is difficult to accept, even because tourists engaged in certain types of tourism (health and fitness, sports tourism) are unable to break the dietary or diet, or to deviate from the diet. Meanwhile, the researches of the resource base for the organization of gastronomic tourism in Russia are practically not carried out. The article analyzes the role of gastronomic tourism as a promising direction of the economy experiences. The authors consider gastronomic tours as tours of senses (taste, tactile, olfactory and aesthetic). According to the authors, the foundation of gastronomic tourism makes culinary (food) brands. Although hedonic tourism happiness and eudaimonic tourism happiness coexist in tourism experiences, extant research has primarily approached them and their impact on tourists’ life satisfaction separately. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to investigate the impact on life satisfaction of the two types of happiness tourists experience in various activities they encounter in tourist venues and their asymmetric effects. A survey was conducted among tourists who had tourism experiences within a year (October 2018 to September 2019) either abroad or Jeju island, and 736 responses were used in the analysis. Results from structural equation modeling analysis show that most of the hypotheses were supported. Our findings demonstrate that pleasure and detachment experience positively affect hedonic tourism happiness, while personal meaning and self-reflection experiences positively affect eudaimonic tourism happiness. Abstract:
The article observes the relevance and substantiates the need to raise the problem of tourism development in the countries of the Black Sea region (Turkey, Ukraine, the Russian Federation, Georgia, Romania and Bulgaria) on the basis of sustainability. Systematization of approaches to the definition of «sustainable development of tourism», «sustainable tourism» and «tourism constancy» has conditioned the elaboration of a sustainable tourism development model, the elements of which are the needs of tourists, tourism resources, tourism services, types of tourism, tourism activities, subjects - tourist, tourist enterprise, destinations and the state (management). It was determined that the achievement of sustainable tourism development in the country should be evaluated from the standpoint of meeting the needs of tourists and considering the factors such as security, sustainable tourism services, economic and environmental sustainability, socio-cultural sustainability, the country’s basic sustainaility and political and regulatory constancy. During the study, the needs of the tourist were identified (cognition, recognition and his acceptance of the cultural, historical, national heritage of the destination, the development of spiritual potential and self-development), which act as a driving force for the growth of demand for sustainable types of tourism. It was found that satisfying the physiological needs of a tourist, his staying in a safe environment, confirming his social, professional, family status is associated with mass tourism, and does not fully contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals. It is determined that the development of tourism in the Black Sea countries is characterized by a high loading on tourist facilities and irregular tourist flows, the irrational use of natural resources, and the continuous expansion of infrastructure that allows only fragmentary observance of the principles of sustainable development . To assess the sustainability of tourism in the countries of the region, we used the author’s methodology for ranking the factors of the tourism sustainability index. Calculations demonstrated that the most important factors for tourists in the Black Sea region are the factor of safety, tourism services and the basic state of stability of the country, which is based on the level of food technology usage; the presence of harmful industries in the country; unemployment rate in the country; the importance of tradition in everyday life; international openness safety factors, tourist services and the basic condition of stability of the country. Environmental sustainability and a sociocultural strategy have a moderate impact. In the ranking of the countries of the Black Sea region according to the calculated tourism sustainability index, Georgia took the first place, and Ukraine received the lowest indicator. By the method of cluster analysis, the countries of the Black Sea region were combined into three clusters. The first cluster was formed by Turkey - a country that has a developed system of mass tourism and actively contributes to its reorientation continuously. The second cluster includes Bulgaria, Romania and Georgia, which combine the processes of active development of traditional and sustainable tourism. In the third cluster, which includes Russia and Ukraine, the development of tourism on the principles of sustainability practically does not occur.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this study is to discuss prevalent socio-psychological models which examine how tourists’ needs and motivations affect their destination choices by collectively considering Plog’s (1974) psychographic profiles, Cohen’s (1979) tourist typology and Peace’s (1988) travel career ladder. The current study argues that no single model can adequately explain tourists’ destination selection process as well as travel behaviors and introduces a new integrated perspective of existing psychological models. Design/methodology/approach Examining responses from 202 Hong Kong residents who have travel experience, this study divides the respondents’ psychographics into three types. Findings Using multinomial logit model (MNL) analysis, the study finds that tourists’ travel motivations and destination settings can be varied by their psychographics types. The findings also reveal that tourist’s psychographic types can be varied by demographics, travel type, frequencies, duration, purpose and destination setting. Originality/value The study provides implications for tourism marketers as well as the tourism literature by suggesting an integrative approach for a better understanding of tourist motivations.

Abstract:

Special interest tourism is one of the efforts to provide alternative tourist attractions and sustainable tourism development in Bali. Visits of both domestic and foreign tourists to Bali in the last 4 years (2015-2019) have increased by an average of 8%. Now the tourism sector in Bali, especially in Bangli Regency, is starting to investigate or explore the possible development of tourist attractions through the development of tourist villages. In this case, the development of special tourism, including the tourist village of Bayung Gede, Bangli is very dependent on the architectural components of traditional settlements and the traditions of the residents in it as a source of attraction and main attraction for tourists. However, the influence of tourism has led to the transformation of traditional settlements. In this case, the transformation has given rise to a paradoxical phenomenon where on the one hand traditional housing attracts tourists, on the other hand the presence of tourists has led to a transformation of the traditional settlements of an area. The purpose of this study is to examine the architectural components of the Bayung Gede Village settlement as a tourism potential based on special interest tourism and then to find out how far the tourism architectural potential is found and how strong the Bayung Gede Village settlement icon is as a special interest DTW. The method used is a qualitative-exploratory and descriptive method. The results show that the traditional settlement of Bayung Gede Village contains elements of special interest tourism such as elements of novelty seeking, quality seeking, enriching, rewarding, adventuring and learning, so that it has the potential as religious tourism (the existence of four types of graves), culture (settlement and residential layout) and citrus plantation sector agro-tourism in improving the economic sector of the community. Investigation and inventory of Bayung Gede traditional housing is an effort to find a village icon that has prestige that can attract tourists to visit and be able to compete with other tourist villages.

Abstract:
Rural tourism is now seen as an important direction of development of the regional economy. From the perspective of sustainable development rural tourism affects the economic, social and environmental aspects of the regional and local economy. Rural tourism is closely linked with agrotourism, eco-tourism, natural tourism and so on. Sustainable rural tourism can be realized by applying logistic, geographic and marketing approaches as components of sustainable development strategies. Logistics approach is determined by logistic potential of resource base of rural tourism and appropriate tourist flows regulation. In this context in the article the concept of tourism capacity or capacity of the resource base of rural tourism is used. The problem of the definition of tourism pressure on the resource base of rural tourism, particularly in natural landscapes is disclosed. Unlike environmental and recrealogical sciences, which stop at the capacity definition of the resource base of tourism, tourism logistics compares this figure with the existing tourist flows and accordingly determines the safe way of tourism management to ensure its sustainable nature. It was shown that these strategies boil down to two basic types – the further development of tourism in a particular area or limit such activities to conserve the resource base of tourism. Recreational (travel) load is the indicator that reflects the impact of tourism on the resource base of tourism (especially landscape complex), expressed by the number of tourists or tourists-days per area unit or per tourist site for the certain period of time (day, month, season year). There are actual, allowable (the maximum) and destructive (dangerous) types of travel load. The latter can lead recreational area or resource base of rural tourism to destruction. Thus, depending on the intensity of tourism resource base using in rural tourism it may change – according to tourist consumption. Large number of tourists affects the entire range of recreational destinations and their individual components. The most vulnerable part of the environment in this sense is vegetation, except that significant changes may occur with soil, water bodies, air and so on. The geographic dimension of the problem of rural tourism sustainable development includes the concept of zoning, ie the division of the territory, offering to develop rural tourism in several zones with different modes of travel usage – from a total ban (in protected areas) for complete freedom with transitional stages, involving various limit degrees in the development of rural tourism. Marketing approach reflects the application of the curve R. Butler to the stages of development of rural tourism destinations with the release of such steps as: research, involvement, development, consolidation, stagnation (also called “saturation”), revival or decline. Shown the models that link the stage of resource base tourist development (under “Curve Butler”), strength of tourism consumption the magnitude of such effects (eg weak (disperse) impact in large scale, strong (concentrated) impact in large scale, strong (concentrated) impact in small scale, weak (disperse) impact in small scale), dynamics of tourism development at the territory.
